There are many regions within the world of Pokemon. From Kanto to Johto, Unova to Alola, many places on the planet are home to the creatures known as Pokemon. This particular adventure happens in the region of Osaki, a mildly temperate region that lies just above the Equator. This means the far North gets very cold while the far South gets very hot. A large diversity in climate means a large diversity in Pokemon, and with an official Pokemon League as well as Elite Four the Osaki region has done well for itself over the years. There's far more than just battling, like all Pokemon regions, and many Pokemon owners may go their whole lives without battling. Breeding, Contests, or just living your life alongside Pokemon with no need for conflict gets most people by. The adventure is up to you, but know that the path always lies open.

Hello, this is fairly straightforward and I'll cut to the chase. This is a role-play adapted off of a Pokemon Tabletop RPG I've written. I'm looking for three additional people to fill the world. A group role-play works most effectively for this, as long as the writers involved understand that this world is built on cooperation and not competition.
To list my expectations: At least two to three paragraphs per post. There's a lot to cover in this RP, from your internal dialogue to your Pokemon, interactions, environmental details, speaking to other players, etc. etc. The point being short posts not only fail yourself, but the other players. Spellcheck exists and is easy to access, so do your best to maintain coherent posting. I'm one of the stricter people on the site in terms of what I will and won't accept in terms of writing, but I always accept effort. Secondly, if you choose a starter that is not one of the "regular" options from any region, be sure that it follows the same format. Three stage evolution, no pseudo-legendaries, something a regular person would be able to catch on their own. Simple enough, yeah?
I will be effectively acting as both a player and Game Master in terms of the overarching plot, mostly to keep people from saying "ha look i caught a mew". Cause let's be honest, you didn't. Battling and capturing will be mostly free form, since again, this is for fun and isn't a competition. There is a League system in place, all Gym Leaders exist as do the Elite Four. There is a villain team with their own motivations, which will be introduced over time.
Once the group has been filled, and unfortunately I am picky with what I believe to be quality writing, I will close this thread and we will continue in a group PM since it'll be easier to discuss the expectations and start the actual process of the role-play.
That's all I've got to say, I've got maps and stuff for the world, blah blah blah. Apply below, thanks.
