A BIT ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, I'm Nettles (she/her or they/them). πŸ™‚

I'm a twenty-two year old uni student who was once a Quotev connoisseur from 2018 to mid 2024 (if you know you know). I'm a lesbian, disabled, and (Gasp! My greatest ailment!) English.

I adore the wide span of the medieval era, pre-history (Spinosaurus, my beloved), drawing, scruffy dogs, autumnal colours, folklore and mythology, and making little pocket words in my brain ── amongst other things.

I also love reading and I am currently (still) reading The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, Our Hideous Progeny by C. E. McGill, and Greenteeth by Molly O'Neill due to uni work getting in the way most days. My music taste can be condensed into my favourite artists: Little Miss Cadaver, Adrienne Lenker, Yaelokre, Small Fools, Muco, Lo & the High Road, and Rabbitology.

ROLEPLAY PREFERENCES
I would prefer anyone roleplaying with me to be in the age bracket of 20-26 however, if we get to know each other first as individuals before roleplaying, I do think we could roleplay together. This preference is my only one ── a partner's gender, sexuality, or race is no preference of mine ── and it is up to change with time, because I haven't roleplayed with anyone beyond 26 before. So maybe I will remove this preference with time.

On a less serious note ... with a roleplay partner, I need to (and love to!) discuss with roleplay partners the roleplay idea before hand. Along with plotting, headcanons, and, overall, getting to know roleplay partners before the roleplay starts. it helps me submerge myself in the roleplay ideas. I also support the divas who make OC playlists, pinterest boards, and anyone with the same interests as me.

CURRENT CRAVINGS
I will edit this as I go, since I am currently craving escapism not my normal cravings.

FANDOMS
Roleplay doesn't have to be in these fandoms. Our world / original worldbuilding also interests me.
Alternate universes

✦✦✦✦✦
The Selection series by Kiera Cass (Guilty favourite)
House of the Dragon
Avatar (2009) & Avatar The Way of Water*
Middle Earth ── The Hobbit (films) / Lord of the Rings (films)

✦✦✦✦
Harry Potter series (films)
How to Train Your Dragon (3rd film doesn't exist)
Game of Thrones
My Hero Academia (anime)
*No spoilers for the third film please! :)

PAIRINGS
OC x OC and OC & OC is my only experience within roleplaying, however if a partner would want to play a canon character I wouldn't immediately say no.

βœ¦β”€β”€ MxF: I can roleplay either female or male OCs. However my female OCs tend to often be sharp, confident and assertive, meanwhile my male OCs are often kind and people-pleasing. So if you are up for that, message me after reading all of this if still interested.

βœ¦β”€β”€ FxF: I am new to roleplaying lesbian relationships due to only recently being fully comfortable in my identity, however I am excited to roleplay this dynamic as equally as a MxF or NBxF/M.

βœ¦β”€β”€ NBxF / NBxM: I have a few non-binary OCs and I wouldn't be against partners roleplaying a non-binary partner either. :)

MUSTS
Triggers: My only trigger is domestic violence. Please respect that trigger, as I am not someone who uses the term "trigger" lightly.

Smut: I have had a bad experience with roleplaying this theme years ago and it's stuck with me, even now. That being said, however, I promise I'm no prude 🀭 and that my OCs can dirty talk, tease, and intimately touch if that is anyone's preference. Like my partner's age preference, this might be something that changes in the future.

So if you've read this far and still want to roleplay together, please send me a message! :loves:

Note: This is a rough draft of an idea. Everything is up for changing β€” apart from the staples of this plot idea.

AMERICAN DYNASTY

THE UNITED EMPIRE of AMERICA

Alternate history ✦ Imaginitive ✦ Royalty
Regency // Victorian // Modern
Dystopian(?) & Political // Light-hearted & playful

THE WASHINGTON DYNASTY (1792 - present day)
When the Constitutional Convention deadlocked in 1787, a fateful compromise emerged. The U.S.A would become a constitutional monarchy, with George Washington crowned as King George I of the United Empire of America on 16th August 1792. The decision, driven by fears of democratic chaos and foreign threats, established the House of Washington with carefully limited powers β€” a crown in flag alone that would supposedly embody liberty and provide stability.

The second generation of Washingtons β€” all descendants being of King George I's wife, Martha, and her first husband, Daniel Parke Custis, but carrying the Washington name nonetheless β€” ruled with restraint, but each generation grew more comfortable with their royal status. By the 1860s (known as the Alexandrian era in the U.E.A), the monarchy had evolved into something King Alexander's step-grandfather never intended, complete with elaborate court ceremonies, an increase in both nobility and poverty alike, growing executive power that bypassed Congress, and crowns that were not only on flags but placed on royal heads.

THE ALEXANDRIAN TRANSFORMATION (1860s-1890s)
King Alexander gained the crown in the 1860s, which became the turning point of America's "Golden" age. Influenced by his British royal "cousins", Alexander transformed the American court into a spectacle of excess. The "American Versailles" β€” a sprawling palace complex built outside Philadelphia β€” became the symbol of everything the Republic had supposedly rejected.

Alexander's Queen, Catherine Hepburn (the only child of an Alexandrian millionaire), championed morality while living in unprecedented luxury. The royal couple preached temperance from golden goblets, advocated for the common man while surrounding themselves with titled nobility, and spoke of democratic values while systematically undermining congressional authority.

THE SEEDS OF THE REBELLON (1900-1915)
There comes a breaking point for all things . . . The contradictions became impossible to ignore . . . The Goldsmith Underground emerged from the United Empire of America as a secret network of people against the monarchy. They glued anti-monarchist posters to shop windows at midnight, distributed letters to supporters, and organised protests across major cities. This movements symbol was a molten crown, and it began appearing in broad daylight in the months after the Great War (World War II) was announced.

THE WASHINGTON ROYAL FAMILY
(as of circa. 1843CE in this idea)
Those underlined in italics are OCs (who are placeholders and are always up to be removed / re-assessed) and those simply underlined have information made of them that isn't factual due to lacking information ── including from birth/death date to their name. The names with no italics are historic figures, however, I am also open to creating a whole new royal family for this plot idea. :)
