Hello friends, I have come here to further my writing endeavors in a community of like-minded individuals. I aim to write a book, plain and simple. In this respect I would imagine that I am most probably no different from many of those who have and will come here. To all of those who have come before me, greetings.
My favorite things to write about are existential things. I enjoy philosophy and musings, I like cosmic horror and introspection in my works. I do enjoy very flamboyant characters with big personalities because I still require having a lot of things to work with, and I worry that my ability to characterize people well is probably inhibited by some anti-social behaviors that I still cling to but I also wish to resolve.
I would not suggest that I have a style yet, despite having written many tens of thousands of words in my life-time. I say this due to a lack of consistency, not tendency. I tend to be overly critical of myself and subsequently easily demotivated, which has caused me to abandon projects that were perfectly fine because of small conflicts that I could not resolve. This is because the things I like to write about, the manner in which I would like to write and the format in which I know an audience might enjoy my writing are not always easily compatible and I lack a defined sense of where things do and don't belong. I also tend to improvise more than plan so that my stories can organically grow, and this can become problematic when a story grows too large by virtue of a lack of focus.
I do intend to bring some characters here and maybe try to work on that story whilst on this forum, and I would appreciate all feedback.
