You would play a research scientist in a lab. Your character would be single and has a crush on the scientist you work with in the lab. He is working on a genetic altering agent while you are doing your research on what causes a vampire bat to drain the blood from its victims. It is while working that you have a Tray of vampire blood and I am carrying the genetic altering agent. We bump into each other and some of the vampire blood spills into your coffee along with the genetic altering agent. When your character drinks her coffee she changes from being human into a vampire and wants her co-worker as her mate to create a new breed of vampires.
