Does anyone actually like doing self introductions? I feel like the answer might be no.
(Insert generic but friendly greeting here), I'm (insert username or cute nickname here) and (insert interesting fact about self here).
I'm a veteran of the roleplay world but have been out of the main game for a while since real life got busy and I had some good long-term partners to scratch the itch whenever I was craving to write with someone. But alas I have cravings that have gone neglected for a while and, besides that, it's good to get variety to help my writing improve and to have a breath of fresh air.
I'm an introverted person who is usually blunt and honest with my friends. I enjoy talking about characters and speculating about scenarios. Seeing my partner gush about how much they're enjoying this or that lets me know I'm doing a good job.
Because I've been doing this for a while, I have gotten better at knowing whether I'll enjoy writing with someone based on their writing samples, so I generally ask for those nowadays before committing to a roleplay. I do require decent grammar because too many typos or poorly constructed sentences are distracting, plus they're not very dyslexia friendly. That said, I'm guilty of plenty of my own mistakes and I get we are all human (or pretending to be... I'm onto you robots).
Even when I'm not actively looking, I'm always open to new stories or ideas. I like to focus on MxM pairings but am actually comfortable with all types of pairings if the stories and characters are right. I enjoy heavy focus on romance and have a few guilty pleasures for certain sexual themes but to me, the plot always comes first. So, although I am often happy to get into the hot and sexy details to show character, if a steamy moment feels more gratuitous than beneficial, I might prefer a fade to black or to gloss over the moment. That said, I have very few limits for any form of content as long as it falls within site rules.
My PM's are open whether you have an idea or just like something you've seen me post somewhere and want to strike up a conversation about it. Oh, and also, hi, I'm WhisperingEcho and I love to write.
