Hello! I'm returning to the site after an utterly absurd few months that left me running across the region trying to handle a thousand little nightmares.
As I ease back into writing, I'm really craving an adventure that incorporates some damsel in distress elements. I really enjoy playing a mix of villains who take the heroine hostage, and the hero who comes to her aide. I love a mix of action, romance, and perilous rescue (which leads to more romance).
1. The Investigation
She has known the city was corrupt since she was a teenager. The city has always maintained a reputation as the home of law and order, but that reputation is based on lies. The police know which criminals to allow, and which to target. The mayor is in the pocket of the underworld, and most in the media are either oblivious or terrified of the repercussions of exposing the truth. That's where your character comes in. She's a struggling reporter, willing to offer up a legitimate view of what the city is like, but because of her honesty, none of the major papers want to touch her. All of that changes when she stumbles onto a weapon's deal. One of the dealers tries to kill her, only for the city's first superhero to step in. Up until this moment, everyone assumed he was a legend or myth, but there he is. Rather than simply fly away, my character talks to her for a moment, even going so far as to admit that he's still figuring out how to do all this. Over time, a partnership could form. Neither of them is afraid to go after the corruption that is infesting the city, and between the two of them, they might be able to find what nobody else can.
I picture this as kind of a new version of the Superman/Lois Lane dynamic, but I'm open to other characters as well. I know a lot of people gravitate towards OC's, and I'm 100% cool with that too.
2. Harley's New Puddin
I saw this idea somewhere else, and it stuck with me. Harley Quinn was once Dr. Harleen Quinzel, until the Joker eventually molded her into his perfect sidekick. Over time, he convinced her that she was utterly unloved, and the only one who could possibly understand her was him. My idea is that what if someone else had made a connection with her when she was right at the point of breaking, enough to make her see that the Joker was a monster, and to kind of shift her obsession towards someone more noble. In my head, I see this as the Joker breaking out of the Asylum, but when his plan doesn't quite work out, he takes Harley as a hostage and human shield. She quickly realizes it isn't an act. He will kill her to get out, and has no second thoughts about it. In that moment, someone saves her. (I'm not 100% set on who my character would be, though probably not Batman) He drives the Joker off, helps Harleen, and goes out of his way to make her feel safe. I imagine he takes her home, even checks on her again later to make sure she is still alright. This is enough to make her turn away from the Joker, and instead become obsessed with this new hero. Eventually, I'd like to see her start to seek him out, taking on an alter ego, though perhaps biting off more than she can chew from time to time.
3. Lasso of Truth
Ever since she came to man's world, Wonder Woman has had certain fantasies about one of her fellow Justice League members (I'm leaning towards Superman, but open to suggestions). She has bottled these fantasies up, as it would be improper to voice them to someone she works so closely with. But as fate would have it, she finds herself overpowered by a villain, who binds her with her own lasso. Her crush manages to rescue her, and when he asks her of she is alright, the lasso compels her to reveal that being tied like this in front of him is something she has thought about more than once. This would start things in motion for the pair, taking them down a path neither of them expected. I would like this one to be a mix of distress and consensual bondage, something they both realize they enjoy.
4. Your Idea Here!
By now, you probably get the idea of the sort of story I'm craving. I don't have plots for other characters, but that doesn't mean I'm unwilling to come up with them. If you have a particular Marvel or DC character you are really craving, maybe we can figure something out. I've toyed with ideas for Supergirl, Black Widow, Black Canary, Scarlet Witch, Catwoman, and probably a dozen others.
