« About Me »

Hello, all! I'm Mulberry_Wine, though you can feel free to call me by my actual human name, Gray.

I'm an experienced writer, though my prose skills are a bit rusty. I've written virtually no prose since college, but I'm hoping this will be a good way to get back into it! I have very extensive experience with roleplaying in the tabletop sense, but this will be my first forum roleplay in quite a while.

« Writing Style »

Ideally, I'd like our posts to be like, one to three paragraphs on average, with some posts likely being a bit longer than that. That said, I'm not super picky about post length. I tend to match whatever my partner prefers. I'll confess that my schedule can be a little erratic, so I'd be aiming to post every few days, and hoping that you'd do about the same, at least as we get started. I am very forgiving about post times on your end. I don't really mind pausing for a few weeks and picking up once you get back.

I'm not adamant about perfect grammar and spelling, but I would like us both to be aiming for perfect grammar and spelling, if that makes sense. Mistakes are perfectly fine, but indifference frustrates me a bit.

« Content »

I like writing genre fiction. In particular, I'm interested in pulp fantasy in the general D&D and tabletop mold, soft sci-fi in the space opera or Star Wars sense, and original superhero stuff. On the off chance that someone else is interested, I'm also interested in pulp adventure, in the general realm of Doc Savage and similar characters. I'm not super interested in fandom roleplays, with the exception of DC Comics. If we play in an existing universe, I'd definitely prefer to play very fast and loose with the established canon.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm pretty experienced with tabletop roleplaying, typically as a GM. I'm happy to write in the traditional shared-narrative-control sort of way, or to have a more GM-and-player dynamic where you control your character and I control the surrounding world. Again, I am very flexible.

I'm
interested in romantic & sexual content, though I'm also fine with fade-to-black stuff if that's what you prefer. If you are interested in playing sexual content, I'm open to most kinks. My limits are scat, vore, and gore in a sexual context. Basically everything else is on the table. I'm particularly interested in D/s dynamics, petplay, humiliation, discipline, size differences, and things of that general nature, with my character(s) in a dominant role. In terms of the "smut-to-story" ratio, I'm probably looking for a maximum of 50% smut in long-form roleplays. I'm happy to do shorter stories that are purely sexual, but I honestly lose interest in them if they continue for too long.

I hesitate to flesh anything out too much before we get to the collaboration stage, but here are two broad ideas that could be fun starting points for ideas:

Sword and Sorcery
Becoming a cleric is hard work. You've spent years in the abbey studying holy texts and memorizing prayers, meditating alone for hours on end to hone your connection to divine power. But you know that studying isn't enough. Worshipers like yourself are meant to take the light of your goddess out into the world. You've put that off for a while, actually. Most of your classmates left the abbey years ago, when they turned eighteen. Your superiors are starting to get the sense that you're stalling. Nothing to be afraid of, they tell you. Most people are very kind to clerics in training. After all, they know you don't have much experience with the outside world.

They are wrong. There is plenty to be afraid of. But there's also a lot of fun to be had. You'll just have to be brave.

Science Fiction
I don't normally take passengers on my ship. Passengers are witnesses, and very little of what I transport is legal cargo. So usually, it's just me and the AI, playing the three games she knows how to play over and over and over as we move from planet to planet. But you seemed desperate for transport, and we were headed in the same direction.

Letting a stranger board the ship in such a hurry was a dumb move. I can think of five or six people who would like to kill me, and at least three of them would pay someone to sneak on the ship to do just that. I should be more careful, but I trust you for some reason, though I can't say why.

Having you here makes things feel strangely crowded. The ship is big enough that we could avoid seeing each other for days if we wanted to, but just knowing there's someone else here makes everything feel a bit different. The ship's AI beeps at me angrily, indicating another ship headed toward ours, and I'm struck by two things -- first, that I thought of this as "our" ship, and second, how worried I am that you'll get hurt. Weird.

Hi! If you're still looking for a partner, I love both the ideas you have here!

I am wondering what kind of character(s) you like to play?

If you are interested I'd love to pm and discuss!
