My name is Johnny Boy, but you guys can call me John (or really anything else you'd like). I'm from the United States, on the East Coast, and I'm a 21 year old college student. My major is in education - after so many years of procrastination and even dropping out - and I plan on becoming a teacher after graduating. My true passion however has always lied in writing! Since I was thirteen years old I've been super into making stories, most of them were crap, but I was writing and that's all that mattered. As I got older that passion died a little bit throughout adulthood, I turned to a sales job after dropping out that made me some amazing money but inevitably it was way too much stress to deal with. After a year and a half, with the help of Covid, I ended up leaving my sales job and went back to school with the desire to get my degree.
There I found the flaming passion for writing again hidden deep in my heart, and it came back so much stronger than before. I started reading an entire book every week, and writing in different short stories throughout Covid for fun. But just a month ago I decided I was going to turn my focus on trying to write my first Novel - knowing it won't be my best work but it would at least get my foot through the door of potentially being an author like I've always dreamed. I'm about 30% with it now but like anybody else, I'm losing some steam and want to keep my motivation and writing skills fresh. It's been some time since I last been a part of an awesome roleplaying community, but I would love to get it started here since it seems to be the most popular area!
As for my writing skill I would like to think I'm pretty adept at adjusting to anything my partner prefers. If they want extremely long novella sized posts I could manage that, or if they want just a couple paragraphs that's also fine by me. I just enjoy making some really memorable stuff with some really cool people! So I'm coming in with super strong expectations. Sorry if I babbled on for too long! Can't wait to get to know everybody here.
