Personality/Appearance

Astra is a young half elf with her father's silver-white hair and frost blue eyes. Despite their cold color, they usually accompany a warm smile. She tends to be more soft spoken but enjoys helping people and will never tell you but likes attention.

Spoiler: Backstory

Astra was born to her elven mother 26 years ago. For the first few years of her life she was raised by both her parents until they gave up on each other. They didn't hate each other, but the city they lived it made it horrible to be a mixed couple and they weren't happy together besides. By the time she was 10, Astra and her father had moved to a human city. While she was training as an Acolyte her father made money for them the only way he knew how. By being a thief. Astra quickly dropped out of her studies and discovered what her father was doing. As a helpful innocent bean, she asked if she could help in any way and was inducted into a life of crime. That is, until she was older and realized what they were doing. After a failed heist landed her father in prison, Astra found herself back at the church learning to be a Cleric again, hoping whatever sins she and her father committed could be forgiven. Her father was sentenced for a lot longer than expected. He continued to cause issues while in prison and without a way of contacting her mother, Astra decided she needed to move on, but still keeps in contact with her dad by mail.

Amelia Varin Lavinius

Personality/Appearance:
Ginger with medium length curly hair and violet eyes. Her personality is hard to pin down but generally speaking she's kind of a sassy bitch. While she doesn't say it to your face she does think she's smarter than you and she might be right.

Spoiler: Backstory

Bit of a trigger warning, there's some messed up shit in here.
Amelia was born sick. Her parents, both powerful war heroes, were actually quite scared by the prospect of their child dying on them. Weird. But they took it a bit far. Even after she got better, Amelia was kept inside against her will and was never allowed to do anything strenuous. Growing up watching her high level parents sparring outside every morning and then never being allowed to fight like them made her angry. She was constantly told she was not good enough. That she was too weak. She didn't like that. It turned her into a nasty child. To get attention and payback against her parents she began doing progressively worse and worse things. At a very young age she started seeing the stable boy, that didn't bother them. She killed their dog. They just brought it back with magic. Became a bully at school. They didn't care. She ended up being the head of a bunch of mean girls. Eventually when she was old enough she tried to run off and join the military. That. That was what got their attention. They weren't going to let her make their mistakes or be involved in anything like that so they decided to ship her off to a different country to live with a friend of theirs and become a mage.
In her time with her tutor she mellowed out a lot. He was a nice older teacher figure and that was what she "liked". She was rejected by him due to their age gap and the power dynamic. That didn't stop her from wanting to be with him and eventually they both got drunk enough that it happened. He disappeared the next day leaving a note and a letter of recommendation. After internalizing all her emotions from him leaving she took that letter and she made her way into a mage's college. For her thesis she decided to travel and research something specific (depends on setting)
