I'm Mari and I've been role-playing for over a decade. I am an avid romance fan, with the occasional sprinkling of fantasy or science fiction thrown in there. I am a certified goof ball but I love diving into plots and creating something entirely new. I role-play with both OCs and canon characters, which just opens the world up to more story possibilities!
How long do your replies tend to be and what is your writing schedule like?
My replies at the very minimum are one paragraph, and that's only if the scene is dialogue heavy. I do tend to go 3+ paragraphs as I enjoy describing scene, emotions and character thoughts. As for my writing schedule, I do try to reply once a day or once every other day. I work in the mental health field so occasionally I need a break but I do communicate the harder days with my partner.
What is your tolerance level for gore? Violence?
Violence is fine, but gore I prefer to not get into explicit detail.
Do you write sexual content? If so, what are your kinks? Limits?
Unfortunately, I suck at writing sexual content. So if we do get to that point, I prefer it's implied with a "fade to black" situation.
Do you write any fandoms? (Please bear in mind that any characters under 18 and any high school settings must be aged up)
All fandoms I write for, characters are at the minimum 18-19. Specific plots may call for aging up further.
Some of my fandom interests are Life is Strange (I've played all the games except Double Exposure but I know the plot), The Last of Us, Stranger Things, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Spider-Man (more specifically any rendition with Black Cat) and a wide variety of anime.
Do you have any pairings you prefer?
Some pairings that I would love to explore (*- indicates the character I would prefer playing)
Zuko/Katara* (ATLA)
Zuko/Sokka* (ATLA)
Max*/Chloe (LiS)
Ellie/Dina* (TLOU- would be open to playing Ellie but Dina has my heart)
Peter Parker/Black Cat*
Black Cat*/Harry Osborn
Harry Osborn/Peter Parker (could play either, but I lean towards playing Harry in this dynamic. He's such a fascinating character)
(While this isn't the longest list, I do plan on expanding it in the future. These are just pairings I don't get enough of and would love to explore more of their dynamics)
Do you have any detailed plots prepared?
I have plot ideas for each pairing, which would take a while to list them all. So in the interest of keeping this post cohesive, I have some vague ones I'll list below.
Unexpected Partnering: Two unlikely people paired together either for a school assignment or hero mission.
Person in Power/Bodyguard: Prince/Princess/King/Queen & bodyguard, Celebrity/bodyguard, politician/bodyguard, you name it.
Apocalypse: Works perfectly for zutara or even Ellie/Dina. Can be based on a plague that's dwindled the world population, zombies, alien invasion gone very wrong. Very open and flexible.
Arranged Marriage:Can work in both a royal setting or even just 2 people trying to slightly better their positions. It doesn't necessarily have to be two royal figures, as arranged marriages were considered normal even to common folk.
Reincarnated Souls: The idea that our two characters knew each other in a past life only to be complete strangers in another one. Only when they meet, flashes of these memories return, and they have to try and not allow the same things to rip them apart once more.
