Hello!

I have a handful of ideas I've been toying with, and while they take place over a handful of different genres, each kind of revolves around the theme of bondage, control and a bit of last minute rescue. I'm also a big fan of at least some degree of romance in this sort of story, so some of these ideas will start out kind of romantic, and others will take a while to get there. If you see anything that calls out to you, please send me a message!

Mine

Everyone has heard the stories. Lois Lane gets into trouble investigating a big story, and Superman saves her at the last minute. But what if the reality was more complicated than that? What if, over multiple times rescuing her, Superman started to feel possessive of her, and even started to keep her tied up and dominated until the next morning. Their situation becomes more elaborate with every rescue, until she finds herself taking ever increasing risks, knowing that they will likely get her captured, rescued, and dominated. (This could work with other characters as well, but I will love you forever if you write a Superman/Lois version of this story with me)

The Narrows

Your character has taken it upon herself to investigate the Narrows, a run down part of town that has been abandoned by the police and politicians, and used to move drugs, weapons, and to simply make people disappear. Your character could be an original character who is a new police officer or reporter, a canon civilian like Lois Lane or Mary Jane Watson, or maybe a new vigilante. Whoever she is, the people who own the Narrows want her to disappear. When she is investigating a ship coming into the harbor, she is grabbed by goons and taken aboard to be disposed of. That is when she meets my character (a vigilante). The vigilante is brand new in town, and has decided to start up his crusade in the Narrows. Unfortunately, while he can see that a lot needs to happen, he doesn't know where to start. Eventually, the two characters form an unlikely alliance, one that is filled with peril for your character. The various mobs might not be able to hurt my character, but they can grab his partner to try to throw him off the scent.

I'm mostly thinking of playing Superman or Spider-Man for this, but I'm pretty flexible. If you're really craving the chance to play opposite someone like Captain America, Flash, or Green Arrow, we might be able to figure something out.

Fight the Darkness

Our characters were lovers leading relatively peaceful lives, until an unspeakable foe launched a massive invasion. The enemy seemed unstoppable, but both characters still threw themselves at the problem with everything they had, and for a time, it seemed like there might be hope. That hope seemingly died when our characters were caught in a devastating ambush. Your character was one of the few to survive, but my character was lost, presumed dead. Despite her grief, she fought on for two more years, until she was finally captured. She was taken to the enemy capital, and told that she would be auctioned off as a slave, likely to a high ranking member of the invading force. When the inspection starts, she is shocked to find that one of the enemy generals is my character, though he has no memory of her. Clearly, he has undergone some sort of brainwashing, but she can't help but feel that some glimmer of the real him is still in there. If only she could convince him to buy her, she is sure she could find him under all that conditioning.

I'm super vague on the setting here, because it could work in a variety of settings. I had originally pictured a fantasy setting, but we could maybe work it into something modern. I had also thought about using a Star Wars setting, or maybe even a Marvel or DC universe.

A Professional Opinion

Gotham City is full of all sorts of costumed criminals, any one of which could be the subject of multiple professional texts. To that end, the police have hired Dr. Chase Meridian to try to give the department some insight into what they are up against. But as it turns out, their expert isn't nearly as interested in the city's costumed criminals as she is in Batman. In her obsession with Batman, she rushes into dangerous situations, often drawing attention from the criminals she is supposed to be studying. When it becomes clear that she has Batman's attention, how long will it be before some of the Gotham underworld starts trying to grab her in order to get at the bat?

This would be something of a modern, non-campy take on something like Batman Forever.

*Old Metropolis

Your character has taken it upon herself to investigate Old Metropolis, a run down part of town that has been abandoned by the police and politicians, and used to move drugs, weapons, and to simply make people disappear. Your character could be an original character who is a new police officer or reporter, a canon civilian like Lois Lane, or maybe a new vigilante. Whoever she is, the people who own Old Metropolis want her to disappear. When she is investigating a ship coming into the harbor, she is grabbed by goons and taken aboard to be disposed of. That is when she meets Superman. Superman is brand new in Metropolis, and has decided to start up his crusade in Old Metropolis. Unfortunately, while he can see that a lot needs to happen, he doesn't know where to start. Eventually, the two characters form an unlikely alliance, one that is filled with peril for your character. The various mobs might not be able to hurt Superman, but they can grab his partner to try to throw him off the scent.

This plot could also work in a run down part of Star City or Central City, if my partner would rather do a story with Green Arrow or the Flash. It could also potentially be set in an original world.

*A Gift Princess

Once upon a time, a marriage was arranged between two royals, a princess (your character) and a foreign prince (my character). They never met, but their marriage would never have cemented the peace between the kingdoms. But it never came to be. Your character's older brother preferred war to diplomacy, and attempted a sneak attack that would have devastated his rival's kingdom. The war that broke out lasted four bloody years, with my character's kingdom slowly gaining the advantage. Eventually, your character's palace was surrounded, and their provisions were running low. With no other choice, your family surrendered. Given the rage on both sides, the terms were absurd. Your kingdom lost most of its resources, was forbidden from raising an army, and worst of all, was expected to hold to the arrange marriage they set up years ago. Your character leaves for her new home, fully expecting to be treated more as a slave than a wife, but she has no idea how bad it could be. She is picked up by a group of mages working for her father-in-law to be, and they use a dark, forbidden ritual on her. By the time they are done, her soul is bound to the soul of her new husband. Whenever he gives her a command, she obeys it, whether she wants to or not.

Basically, I'm looking for something that slowly turns into a trusting relationship. Despite her status, the prince would treat her with kindness. The new royal couple would have a lot of problems to contend with, from members of the invading kingdom looking for an excuse to destroy her entire kingdom,, and her foolish brother leading a rebellion that threatens to destroy everything.

*Rivals

When your character was about to start collge, her family hit hard times. The family business (which was illegal, but she didn't know) fell apart. The feds were closing in, and rather than go to jail, her family entered into a deal with the most powerful man in the city. The family's new benefactor made their legal troubles go away, stabilized the family business, and put your character through the best schools money can buy. But there was a price. At least once a week, he calls her from a secure line, and she is expected to appear to him without delay. During these 'dates,' she is his slave, complying with his every wish. This arrangement has been going on for years, and he has positioned her somewhere where her career can benefit him (I'm thinking reporter or DA's office, but this is pretty flexible). From time to time, she is forced to use her position to help him, and each time, he keeps enough evidence that if she crosses him, he can destroy everything she has.

Unfortunately for her, some of his enemies have figured out that she is a pawn for his games, and decide to take her out. When she is walking home, she is grabbed by a handful of masked men, and just when things seem like she is finished, a vigilante appears. He takes out her attackers, makes sure she is alright, and even sees her home, promising to check on her again later. Her benefactor couldn't be more delighted by the turn. He has been looking for a way to control or destroy the city's new vigilante, and now it seems his plaything might be the perfect weapon.

Effectively, what I would love to do here is have a triangle between your character, the benefactor, and the vigilante. She still 'belongs' to the benefactor, and is forced to spy for him, and perhaps even have his men put her in peril so that the vigilante will come rushing to save her. But each encounter with the vigilante makes her care for him a little more. Can she escape her 'owner' and find a way to be with her guardian? Would her guardian even care for her when he learns the truth? (This could absolutely be done with original characters, but I will love you forever if we do this with canon characters. I'd love to have the vigilante/benefactor be Superman/Lex Luthor, or perhaps even Spider-Man/Norman Osborn.)

*The Curse of Capture

It is 1940, and while the United States hasn't yet entered WWII, there are some in the government who suspect it is only a matter of time. When the US realizes that Germany is searching for ancient relics that legends say had immense power, they form a small team to thwart the German's search. The government doesn't actually believe these objects do anything, but the fact that the Germans want them is enough to warrant a small team to try to thwart them. That team consists of your character (a young archaeologist, perhaps even the daughter of a famous adventurer) and my character (a former army lieutenant turned archaeologist). On their first mission together, they stumble upon an ancient tomb, home to a book that was supposed to contain forbidden knowledge. Legend says that whoever takes the book from its alter will be cursed, but there is no such thing as curses, right?

Only a minute after taking the book, tomb raiders burst inside, managing to take the book and your character as a hostage. As it turns out, the curse is real. The guardians of the book devised 'the curse of capture' as a punishment for anyone who would try to claim their knowledge. Effectively, evil is drawn to her like a magnet. The curse doesn't actually make people evil, but if she goes to a town, the local muggers will likely zero in on her, and will have the striking desire to leave her bound and gagged, rather than simply take her possessions. The duo's mission to claim artifacts will be that much more complex now that the fates are working against her.

(I'm looking for something kind of pulpy, with a sort of Indiana Jones feel to it. Nothing too heavy, just adventure and peril, with a healthy bit of romance that blossoms a bit after each successful rescue.)
