The knight is famous throughout the realm. He had been banished and released from service after some scandal and is living the life of a hedgeknight when he comes across Liliana and saves her from an ambush. The two start an affair, but even Lilianas graces are not enough for the insatiable knight and alongside the duke's daughter he keeps many lovers. A fact that annoys and intrigues her.
A rich nobleman with a claim to the imperial throne. Is scheming with Lilianas father to eventually claim the imperial throne.

House Morgrave are the rulers of the duchy Eliangar, north of the imperial heartlands. The duchy is located at the foothills of a mountainous region. The seat of House Morgrave is in a town called Hohenberg, here the family rules from a fortress overlooking the town called High-Moon-Hall. Hohenberg is more than simply the capital of Eliangar, it is also the home of the Academy for Sorcery.
House Morgrave are traditionally in charge of the Imperial Arcane guard and were quite influential in this role. When the Empire started to crumble, they were the first to offer their strength to help stabilize it. For their loyalty the Morgraves had been promised an imperial marriage. Liliana Morgrave (MC) daughter of the Duke Alberion Morgrave, had been betrothed to the Emperor's heir, yet a decade ago after the catastrophical battle of Grayground the house fell out of favour with the Emperor for the leader of the imperial forces in that battle was a Morgrave.
When it was announced that the Emperor decided to marry his heir to the Lady Alexia of House Eldrune, the daughter of the Duke Aronan Eldrune, Alberion Morgrave took it as an outrage and withdrew all Morgrave resources to their home duchy.
After almost a decade of planning, Liliana was betrothed to her current fiance, a Duke who has a distant claim to the imperial throne and who's house is one of the wealthiest families in the realm. Liliana is supposed to be the glue to bind these houses together and create an anti imperial alliance.
When Liliana is ambushed on her way to the wedding a knight, once exiled by her father, saves her and her companions.
