Alright, so the title is obnoxiously pretentious, so sue me. It still remains to be seen if you'll find me just as obnoxious and pretentious; that's your choice and yours alone!
Who I am? I'm simply Vermai here, a long time role-player and daydreamer who spends way too much time thinking about plot twists and fan fiction for it all to be even remotely healthy. I'm a naturally pessimistic and anxious person, so I usually go for fun, light and fluffy stories to compensate for my often dark thoughts. I write in third person, past tense and can write from three short paragraphs all the way to two whole pages worth of content a pop, depending on what I'm working with at the moment and the amount of HYPE I'm feelin' right about the time I write.
I'm most used to modern and urban fantasy lately, but I love medieval fantasy, fairytales, legend-like settings and gritty victorian or bio/steam/cyberpunk dystopias. I'm mostly a original setting type of girl, but I would not mind using the ideas from fandoms I know to make something new, like the likes of existential thrillers like the Persona/Megami Tensei series, epic and often complex adventures like the Dragon Age series or even something a little indulgent yet intricate adventure like Harry Potter or His Dark Materials.
I like making silly characters, and in love they tend to be liberally coated with cute sentiments and EXTREME determination. I also love when their meet cute makes no sense whatsoever but is still the start of True Love, so some reason. I'm a romantic at heart, so abuse and angst are not really my cup of tea, I prefer more realistic drama to counteract my love for campy lovefests.
I can play males or females, but MxM is absolutely still my favorite, and I play any sort of pairings. I like supernatural creatures, but furries are a no no, as the most I like are mostly human shaped, like the fellow in my avatar.
Finally, I tend to concentrate on feelings and thoughts when I write my characters, so sometimes descriptions will be lacking when I get into the inner working of their adorkable minds. I'm mostly a 1x1 player, manly because I can be really slow to post due to issues in my life. I'm really chatty though, so maybe it's worth it? You tell me!
