(Please message me if you're interested. I normally don't respond to post reactions!)

Why not, right? Everyone's got a Five Nights at Freddy's-inspired idea nowadays. ¯\(ツ)

(Of course, while I keep mentioning FNAF, this will not at all take place in any fandom setting. I'm just leaning into what is obviously me stealing a popular trend.)

I'll preface this by saying that the plots I have in mind are very, very loose. I'm looking for someone to brainstorm lore with me, so we can take what we like from the animatronic horror genre and roll it all together into something even cooler. Most of this is because the setting's theme and other characters will heavily rely on what character my partner is playing: The head animatronic mascot! The face of the franchise and likely its namesake too. (Or just a 'regular' animatronic, that works too!)

In short: The main pairing for this is Male/Male-leaning Animatronic x Male/Female Human

My character will likely be an employee - night staff or perhaps a technician responsible for the animatronics' daily maintenance and repair. They could even be YC's 'caretaker' or 'handler' of sorts, ensuring the animatronic is looked after properly. We could also go for the classic 'night guard' position. It all depends on which direction we take the story.

The gist of what I currently have in mind is…FNAF, but without the kids. Meaning the setting in question isn't a family-friendly restaurant, but instead is an adult-only space. The business might have originally started out as the average 70's-80's playground for a young audience, but eventually went bust and rebranded for a more mature crowd. Rather than get rid of the animatronics, they were brought back as mascots to give a more quirky or nostalgic vibe. Or it's a business started by a very...eccentric team looking to cash in on the animatronic craze.

Quick note: When I say "Adult Only", I'm not referring to all-out smut fests. I very much prefer plot over smut. Some of these settings will lend themselves for very mature scenes, but please keep in mind that I get bored of sex scenes if they drag on too long/are too common. Let's mix some horror, hurt/comfort, and all that other good stuff in there. Some settings I have in mind are:

  • Adult-only water park (lifeguard animatronic maybe?)
  • Spa
  • Small hospital/treatment center
  • Kink dungeon...?
  • Etc…

I just think it's an interesting change in the current formula. In this story, children aren't being lured away from their parents and stuffed into animatronics. A human serial killer isn't behind the disappearance of several adults - but an animatronic certainly is. At least, that's the theory. YC is blamed for the wave of fear that's caused the business to either consider shutting down, or has forced the place to close. Whether or not YC is responsible, partially responsible, or completely innocent, MC isn't about to run off like the guests and employees. Even if they wanted to, management won't let them. Lately, I've been into the 'friendly ball of sunshine x grumpy asshole' relationship dynamic. Maybe YC is genuinely a friendly character, but has been accused of some heinous acts...Just an idea, though!

Orrr...

We can throw the horror aspect out the window and go with something else! Something a little more home-based, perhaps YC is a new guest in MC's home for whatever reason. For real, gimmie your ideas!

YC's build and species is entirely up to you! My only requests are:
  • Anthros, creatures, or humanoid designs are what I'm hoping for. Hyper realistic human robots are…sorta boring.
  • Fully sentient animatronics are far superior to 'haunted' animatronics. The personality is better if it's 100% the animatronic behind it, in my opinion.
  • We don't need to stick to the same physical limitations of actual, modern tech.
  • As said at the top of the post, a male or male-leaning animatronic would work better with my character.

Before we wrap this up, here's some info about me:

  • I am 21+. My partner needs to be the same. I'm thirty, so the older a writing partner is the more comfortable I feel, regardless of actual content.
  • I greatly enjoy angst/darker themes such as drug use, cursing, and some level of violence/gore. If someone is exceptionally squeamish, then I may not be the best person to write with. That said, please let me know of any concerns and I will adjust!
  • As above, this could also include psychological torture, possible self-harm, and emotional trauma. Not a necessity, but it's all on the table. Anything that turns the story into something gritty to mix with hurt/comfort fluff is what I crave!
  • Romance not required! Smut is entirely optional and so is romance! Found family is just as good.
  • In terms of smut, I'm not a pure smut type of person. We're looking at a 60/40 - 80/20 plot-to-smut ratio depending on chemistry. Gimme characters who can switch around and have fun with each other + have realistic flaws and emotions.
  • Also related to smut, I'm pretty flexible when it comes to tame and extreme kinks. I have some hard no's, but I'm down to hear suggestions judgement free.
  • My post length varies, though I average about 2-4 paragraphs. Inspiration can hit me hard, so my posts might be randomly long if the scene's good. Quality over quantity and all that.
  • I am not a 'one post a day' person. It's time I accept that I just can't pump out posts like I used to. Some days I just don't feel like writing. A post a week is the minimum I strive for. I won't vibe well with someone who insists on daily communication, whether OOC or IC, but I will do my best to be chatty and transparent.
  • I fully expect proper grammar. I want to write with someone who loves writing and shows it.
  • I'm pretty ghost-friendly. Life happens, things don't last forever. Pop back in whenever you feel like and we'll get something going again!
  • Doubling isn't my thing. If a partner isn't into playing a certain character for their own interest, then we just aren't compatible.
  • Writing samples available! I might ask for one in return!

And I think that's it! Feel free to PM me if interested c:
