Who are you, how long have you been writing and what kind of things do you like to write?
I am me, Nightryder, hello. Been writing for about...15 years or so? And I primarily write medieval fantasy. Basically might as well consider it DnD / Pathfinder or what have you. Swords, magic, treasures, and adventures is what I'm looking for. I'm also mainly looking for MxF or F// pairings. I can be convinced to do M// if your character is cute enough. Also didn't realize this was something that needed to be said, but please PM me if interested!
How long do your replies tend to be and what is your writing schedule like?
Reply length is somewhere around 4+ paragraphs. It all depends on what's going on. If there's a character or locale introduction there's probably going to be a lot more. If there's a back-and-forth discussion? Might only be one paragraph. I'd say four is about my average though. I generally post a couple times a day or every other day, depending on what I have going on. All I ask is that you post at least twice a week, otherwise I will become bored.
What is your tolerance level for gore? Violence?
Perfectly a-okay with the two things, as long as the gore isn't extremely detailed. And if you go for the eyes maybe provide even less detail...
Do you write sexual content? If so, what are your kinks? Limits?
Sure, though I'm generally look for a balance of something like 85% story, 15% smut. Maybe even less smut than that. The fact of the matter is that as fun as smut is, it often adds very little if anything to the story.
For kinks, I guess I'd say anal, masturbation, futanari? They aren't something that needs to be included though and it's not even what I'm really searching for.
As for Limits, it's mostly relegated to bathroom things and hard BDSM. Obviously some light spanking or someone having their hands tied is fine but I'm not interested in someone being burned by candle wax or whipped.
Do you write any fandoms? (Please bear in mind that any characters under 18 and any high school settings must be aged up)
Not really. I'm fine with yoinking a setting/world but not characters or story/plot. For example I'd be happy to play in the world of Wakfu/Dofus but I'm not interested in playing any of the main characters or having them show up. And I'm not interested in a story about an Eliatrope finding their powers or something.
Do you have any pairing or setting ideas?
I generally keep settings / world building to a minimum. It's a lot of work that doesn't really pay off in the end. I also simply enjoy building a world with someone together. It's fun to see where each person slaps points of interest down and be surprised. Also also, I feel like settings and plots intermingle.
As for pairings, I'm mainly looking for M/F and F//. I can be convinced to do M// though, with the right kind of characters. For specific pairings, they are somewhat ingrained into the plots.
Do you have any detailed plots prepared?
A handful, yes.
1. A group of college students from the real world suddenly find themselves in a medieval fantasy world. The humans escape the world by venturing forth to find "Wells of Power" (for lack of a better name). They are basically sinkholes of pure power / divinity, allowing them to gather strength to make a wish. A strong wish, such as jumping through dimensions / worlds, would require multiple of these wells to be granted whereas simpler wishes would only require one. This idea is very moldable in regards to characters and relationships. Maybe some of the characters decide they are happy living in the new world and don't wish to return home, thus leaving the group and new characters are introduced into the group. Either wanting to visit this other world or simply help some lost souls return to their home. Maybe the entire group of humans decide to settle down in the new fantasy world and set up shop.
- I also enjoy the idea of the world being almost devoid of normal humans. The world is mainly inhabited by monstrous creatures, such as bugbears, minotaurs, driders, lizardfolk, etc as well as the basic elves, dwarves, half-elfves and whatnot. And because humans are so rare they are often targeted for kidnappings as they sell for a high price, creating a more hostile world for the new worlders.
- I know I put a "group" but if you aren't interested in doubling I'm okay with this being simply 1x1 pairing.
2. Dragonborns were once a powerful race that ruled over the lands., ravaging the continent of its resources and people. Then for whatever reason they leave for new lands across the ocean and overtime they essentially become horrible legends to whatever sentient race that lives upon the old lands. Dragonborns are regarded as fierce, primal, horrible creatures that ravaged the lands and people that lived upon it. Well, surprise! Dragonborns have come back to these old lands on boats. They are, however, a changed race. They are no longer as primal, fierce, or terrible as their ancient predecessors. They are still strong though, generally much stronger than whatever dominant race has taken over the lands in their absence. But the Dragonborns only seek to form an alliance and integrate into the lands and the people residing there.
- This type of setting could follow any type of pairing. Perhaps it's two nobles from the opposing races trying to ease tensions and create trade deals. Maybe a noble Dragonborn seeks adventure and finds a commoner who will take them on it. Maybe two commoners decide to go on that adventure instead or perhaps they seek to create war between the two races (for whatever reason). Maybe a commoner of the old lands seeks to visit the lands of the Dragonborn and see for themselves the glittering cities the Dragonborn speak of.
3. A group of adventurer's are given a mission by a merchant's guild requesting them to clear a popular trade route that has been harried by harpies. The harpy attacks have recently become much more violent and frequent which forced the guild into actually doing something about it as it finally started to effect their business. The adventurers agree to the terms and conditions and set out to put a stop to the harpy menace. On the way they find a harpy child lost in the forest, crying. And to their surprise she looks not much like any harpy they've seen before. She looks much more human, she smells nothing like the vile rot of a harpy, and she seems attentive, alert, and willing to listen.
- Just a basic starting 'quest' essentially. The idea moreso is that this is a very unlucky group of adventurers. Every time they go out to complete a job things either end up not being what they expected at all and very weird (maybe a demon and a priest have swapped bodies?) or things end up not being what they expected at all and it's WAY more dangerous than what they are prepared for (a group of sahuagin? Easy. A group of sahuagin and a giant sea serpent that they worship as their god? Yikes!)
4. This one would be a little more tricky to roleplay I think. The basic premise is of a barmaid who had once dreamed of being an adventurer. And at one point, maybe she was and something caused / forced her to retire. Maybe she suffered a permanent, debilitating injury or perhaps her party got killed while she barely escaped with her life. Whatever the reason, she's now a simple, safe barmaid, away from the dangers of the world. The other side of the pairing would be a famed adventurer. Someone who has proven their mettle and worth time and time again. Not everybody knows about them, but those who do consider themselves fans. They love this person and are forever grateful for their work. This famed hero meets the barmaid one evening and they take a liking to each other.
- The idea is a bit tricky, I think, because there's really only so much interaction the two characters can have in a evening. And due to the adventurer's sense of duty they would often be away on a job, sometimes months on end. Kind of makes me think of a western to be honest. A lot of description would probably go into what they do in their own time, how they they are feeling about the other, and what they are hoping for. I do have some ideas that would end up getting the barmaid more involved with the adventurer and I would hope the story would lead to them being together (either the adventurer retiring or the barmaid joining them permanently).
5. This roleplay is the only one I have that is inherently of a sexual nature, as well as features a specific gender pairing (FxF), has me playing a specific side of the pairing (the succubus), AND has a specific character to be used. The basic idea is that the land is at war between humans and demons. A war that has lasted centuries. While a lot of it has been mostly small battles and skirmishes, recent years has seen much more violent action as the demons have finally started to become impatient. Battles now last days, if not weeks or months. Both sides are no longer conserving themselves as they bring forth stronger units and the limit on magic is removed. The story, however, follows a futanari succubus who simply wishes nothing more than to be human and to live a quiet life away from it all.
- The story would involve the succubus managing to find an Chuch/Temple/Cathedral/Order/whatever you want to call it that does take her in. The high priest would be willing to take her in but eventually asks her to help with what she would rather ignore: Ending the war. The high priest would issue a female paladin to join the succubus (against the paladin's desire) and the two would set off to either kill or make peace with the demon king. This could also be a double-up situation and two others could join the pair.
- Because of the inherent nature of a succubus this would naturally be somewhat more sexual. However, I want it to be clear that I'm still looking for more story than smut, even in this idea. Think something like 75% Story, 25% Smut instead of 85/25. The succubus is trying to change who she is, not stay the same. She is trying to resist her lustful desires and purify herself of her demonic nature. It's not a trick or anything, she is genuinely trying to make herself as human as possible. She will struggle at times, obviously, but she wants to be better and she will do whatever it takes.
6. More of a concept than anything, but I would love to have a medieval fantasy setting mixed with guns. Is it only because I want to give my character a gun that shoots lightning so I can call it 'The Bugzapper'? Haha, nooooooooo.Yes.
Any additional notes you want to add?
Just want to reiterate that these ideas, save for the 5th, are all variable in terms of pairings.
I haven't included a whole lot of details about the worlds or settings because I prefer to build that with my partner.
I am interested in mostly story, with a little smut sprinkled in.
I am also interested in your ideas! If you have a specific medieval fantasy world/setting that you think one of these ideas could fit into, please do share! Or even if you have your own original plot / idea, by all means!
I ask that you reply at least twice a week. More often is also welcome!
I don't pretty up posts or make them fancy. I don't mind if you do so, just please make sure things are clear and don't make your font size any smaller than this. My eyesight has been forsaken by God...
Please be patient if I don't respond right away today! I can be a little lazy about checking things until I get into the thick of it...
