Introductions are always a little awkward, aren't they? You're expected to reveal just enough to be interesting without giving away all the fun at once.
You may call me Sorceress. I'm new to the Sanctum, though certainly not new to roleplaying. I've always had a weakness for stories that take their time... the sort filled with complicated characters, dangerous little decisions, slow-building chemistry, and that delicious moment when two people realise they've become considerably more entangled than either of them intended.
Fantasy and dark fantasy are very much my natural habitat. Give me decadent courts, treacherous nobles, forbidden magic, monsters wearing beautiful faces, doomed romances, morally questionable decisions, and characters who really ought to know better...
I'm primarily interested in 1x1 writing. I enjoy getting to know my writing partner, plotting together, sharing ideas, building worlds and letting our characters surprise us along the way. I'm not particularly interested in rushing from one predetermined scene to another. Half the pleasure is seeing where the story wanders once we stop trying to keep it obedient.
My writing tends to be character-focused and fairly descriptive, although I much prefer matching the needs of a scene over counting paragraphs. Sometimes a moment deserves several paragraphs and sometimes a single sentence does considerably more damage in the moment.
Mature themes are very welcome, as is explicit content when the chemistry and story lead us there. I'm far more interested in tension, atmosphere, temptation and characters genuinely wanting one another than treating a story like a checklist of things we need to reach.
As for the woman behind the curtain? I adore fantasy, worldbuilding, writing, strategy games, and creating entirely too much history for imaginary places that nobody asked for. I'm also rather fond of people who can make me laugh... that will get you surprisingly far with me.
I'm still finding my way around the Sanctum, so for now I'll simply say hello.
In the meantime why don't you come a little closer, child. I'm sure nothing terrible will happen. ☾
