okay okay- got it got it. UHHH how about just a party? sometimes when soldiers came back from battle theyd get a welcome home party thrown for them basically! so then we can write like... a day or before so we can write them doing their thing before they actually come across each other in person

Spoiler: palace tingz

the palaces were usually on hills so they could look down on the people literally ahah. theyd have big rooms underground for storing wines and other drinks that have to stay cold. HUGE rooms just for baths. every palace for sure had at least a place to worship gods but they were all styled differently so... but it would basically be a "church" with statues of gods. theyd slabs for ~sacrifices~ and pretty gardens of COUR s e. usually an orchard too would be around the palace. and stables. and the guards wouldnt sleep or stay in the actual palace, usually there were barracks for soldiers/guards and it was seperated from the palace by the garden or something like that. but they were nice!! cause greeks liked to treat their guests really nice

- dont arrive on time cause its rude lol, apparently "late" is "on time"
- they only had knives as utensils when eating
- guests are treated like royalty
- nepotism isnt a bad thing to them
- they dont like receiving letters cause it seems impersonal, they like to talk face to face #boomers
- if you have a guest and you dont know who they are, you dont ask questions about their identity until AFTER you invite them inside

- royalty could create laws and act as judges
- they had aristocrats who acted as their advisors
- spent their days hunting or watching chariot races, held feats and parties in the afternoon
- noticed unfair treatment between the rich and poor but didnt care lol
- not cool to date people that arent your social class, party foul
