Post-Apocalyptic and Dystopian characters
Character #1 -- Kyan
Genre & Content: Post-apocalyptic, 1x1, mxm, story-driven
Content warnings: Violence typical for a post-apocalyptic setting, possible gore for when he's treating severe injuries.

Gender: Cis male

Occupation: Healer and Scavenger
Alignment: Neutral good
Height: 5'10
Weight: 159 lbs
Build: Kyan is lanky and lean, due to an active lifestyle and unreliable diet.
Hair: Dark brown, almost black, grown to about shoulder length. Prefers to be clean shaven.
Eye color: Dark brown with lighter brown flecks.
Complexion: He has brown skin with warm undertones, though he will appear paler in the winter or whenever he hasn't had enough to eat.
Style of dress: Practical, weather appropriate clothes, which will often be worn and patchy. He favors dark and neutral colors. He nearly always has a mask, scarf, or some other over the lower half of his face due to scarring.
Distinct marks: Kyan has heavy facial scars around his mouth (similar to a glasgow smile type of scar), and he nearly always keeps them covered.
Personality:
Kyan often seems quiet and withdrawn, going long periods of time without talking or even talking to himself rather than another person in the same room. He can enjoy the company of one or two close friends, but will quickly become overstimulated and stressed out in crowds. He can be insensitive when it comes to others' emotions and is not particularly concerned about social conventions and manners, so he may come across as rude and cold. He also has a tendency to bark orders at people when he's working, and is easily annoyed over interruptions.
But despite the somewhat brusque bedside manner, he does have a deep desire to connect with people and has a deep sense of compassion, as demonstrated by his work as a healer. He will work ceaselessly to help a patient, to the point of forgetting his own needs. He is willing to help strangers as much as possible, and will continue to help even when people take advantage of his kindness.
Skills: Good survival skills. Basic self-defense. Knowledge of plants, first aid, and treatment of wounds and illnesses. Can sew well enough to repair clothes.
Strengths: Good at evading or hiding from danger, or thinking his way out of tough spots. Excellent healer (by wasteland standards.) Good at scavenging for food and other useful things. Decent hunter.
Weaknesses: Not physically very strong. Knows the basics of how to defend himself, but will be in trouble against well-trained attackers. Not great in social situations, and has a tendency to accidentally offend people.
