The Askerissan Crone, often referred to as an Ask Witch usually belongs to a clan, referred to as a coven. These covens vary in size, but are usually groups of ten to fifteen witches, led by a trio of elders. These elders are well versed in all the dealings of the members of their covens, and are said to share a strong telepathic bond with each other. Askerissan Crones received their common name from their tendency to trade in their impressive powers in exchange for favours. All one needs to do gain one's deepest desires is to ask the witches and, if the price is paid, the gift will be granted. Crones usually travel in pairs, and while they are not physically imposing, do have a variety of spells and curses at their disposal.
