Skills:

Hand to hand combat - both in striking range and grappling range

Blacksmith - Kenji come from a long line of warriors who have past down fiercely guarded family techniques regarding the forging of weapons and armor

Military tactics - children in Kenji's family learn Go when they are about three summer's old. The strategy and tactics from these games are enacted in three dimensions as the children grow older and instead of tag and pick up sticks their youthful games resemble military exercises with different formations and attacks of the roughest terrain available.

Powers & Abilities:
Kenji is blessed by Kai. This manifests itself in a immunity to flames and heat. Cold environments don't bother him either. Water is a different story. An ocean voyage would likely make him shit his pants. Maybe he will become braver with age.

Fire nova - Kenji can turn into a being of fire. The change starts off with a fiery explosion that radiates outward. The radius is about ten yards. After the initial blast he can move as a living flame. He looks the same but his body is composed of orange, yellow and white flame. He can fly, has increased strength and can burn thru anything fire can burn through (think welding torch, not campfire)

Here is the flip side. The nova effect can only last five minutes after which Kenji is as weak as a kitten. Barely conscious, needs help to walk. Oh, did I mention his clothes will be gone? He needs to eat his own weight in food to get his strength back and it will take him between 24-48 hours before he can Nova again.

He also needs to learn how to control it because extreme anger will cause him to Nova uncontrollably. People have died. People close to him.

Personality: Kenji has a fiery disposition as would be expected of an adept of Kai. Two years ago he was impulsive and headstrong. Every problem was a nail and he was the hammer that would solve it. The tragedy struck. He spun into depression for a full year and a half. His love for smithing and crafting metal brought him out of it. He's somewhat more cautious now but his blood burns. Fire is mercurial seeking its path and flowing where it will. Kenji is the same way and is reluctant to follow unless he feels the person is worthy.

Written Appearance: Kenji is shorter than average height. He's about 5'6" but the amount of muscle packed into his thick frame makes him appear larger than he actually is. His features are dark and his eyes are light brown. When he becomes angry, his pupils become lighter, almost golden and they glow with orange yellow light right before he goes Flame Nova. His thick hands have callouses from holding hammers and weapons and despite his wide chest and shoulders he has a small waist and fat looks to be non existent on his athletic frame.

The entire left side of his torso is filled with Kasai Clan tattoos. They start at his neck and cover the entire left side of his body, flowing downward and ending at his ankles.

He is hairless. No eyebrows either. I don't see eyelashes. Nope, no hair down below. These days his face, though handsome sports more scowls than smiles.

Background: Kenji was brought up on the outskirts of civilization he would be considered nearly feral as a child. He took to strategy, hunting and the arts of war but shunned letters and music as if they were plague ridden. His father often graced him with the bony side of his knuckles or a boot to the rear to get Kenji in line and Kenji loved him fiercely for it.

Solaris (Light) "Healing and romance is all well and good. You and yours stay away from me and mine and let me kill what needs to be killed. Who has time for love?"

Lunari (Dark) "All must render unto Lunari what is hers and in the end she will come for us all. Not today. Move along. I'm crafting weapons here."

Bahari (Water) Scowls, while his hands drift to his weapons.

Terraria (Earth) "Wood for the fire. Animals for the hunt." He grins. "My family prayed to her as well."

Makani (Air) Has an intrigued look on his face. "Without Air, there is no Fire. I hear they like books as well. I…think I would like to get to know them better. Together we could be very powerful."

Powers & Abilities:
-Human Furnace-
He never got the ability of Pyrokinesis however his body is built to create and handle extreme heat. He can control the placements of the high temperature he creates. His ability is strong enough to melt metal. Because of this ability, his endurance is higher and basic physical attacks won't affect him much. Fire and hot climates don't harm him physically, although it's uncomfortable. To withstand the heat for long periods he needs to consume a lot of water. He can burn off water thrown at him and can withstand extreme cold weather for a limited amount of time (about an hour)

How he can use his ability
He can mould metal objects with his hands to create something different, typically different types of weapons. He can weld just with his fingertips. During hand-to-hand combat, he can heat his hands causing more damage to his opponent. Don't have a furnace during the winter? He's got you covered. He also wears gloves made of metal and leather to hold in the temperature and reduce how much of his power he'd use. When desperate he can melt the metal to make something out of it.

-Enhanced Intuition-
He was always good at reading others, especially during his underground fighting matches. The god blessed him with a sixth sense. The ability to perceive or know things without conscious reasoning. He can pick up on things that no one else can. His 'gut' feeling is almost always right. When fighting toe to toe he can see movement seconds before it happens to be able to react quickly to counter or strike first. It's almost like he can see the future. He can sense when something big is about to happen, sometimes days prior. He can never tell exactly what it will be but he can tell the difference between it positive or negative. He can see through people's fake personas, pick up on hidden intentions and is rarely caught off guard.

Weakness
Overuse of his heating ability can create extreme burns to the point his limbs begin to char. Depending on the severity of the burns it can take a couple of hours to a few days to fully recover.

Overheating can also cause his Intuition to malfunction to the point his mind becomes a haze and becomes extremely confused. He takes ice baths often to combat overuse.

Personality:
-He is usually quiet so when he talks more than he usually does, his throat becomes sore and the sound of his voice becomes scratchy.
-Although he's usually straight-faced, during social interactions he communicates a lot through his facial expressions. (Usually annoyance)
-He rolls his eyes a lot
-He's always straight to the point, and never beats around the bush.
-He can dislike someone without ever talking to them.
-Can read people quickly.
-Very blunt but will never voice his opinions if not called for.
-Thoughtful and remembers small details about others.
-He likes to tease and tell jokes from time to time however his delivery sounds serious until you see a grin on his face.
-He might come across as standoffish but he's quite nice and caring.
-Always pays close attention to small details of something no matter how 'unimportant' it may be.
-He is more factual than emotionally driven and doesn't understand that sometimes when he speaks it comes across as insensitive.
-He's usually calm and collected and it takes a lot to anger him.
-It takes a lot to scare him, jumpscares will never work.
-He focuses on goals and is very goal-oriented, a hard worker and always focused.

Platinum blonde, loose and feathered ear-length hair. An old scar on his bottom lip from splitting it during a match. Piercing dark maroon eyes with seemingly permanent dark circles under, pale snow-like coloured complexion. Three black piercings on one ear. One singular freckle above his left eyebrow, lean build with toned and defined muscles, standing at 6"3


Background:
Ryker grew up in a family of four, father, mother, and younger sister. His baby sister is his everything and her being 10 years younger than him he played a big part in helping her grow up.

Ryker grew up very close with his father. His father owned a car repair shop, and when Ryker turned 12 his father began to bring him around the shop. He showed him the ropes and taught him the skills of a mechanic. He and his father even had their very own car that they restored and personalized. Those memories of working in the shop were the best memories of his childhood and continue his father's work to this day.

At 16 he was introduced to his father's hidden life of illegal underground fighting. His father was a feared contender, one of the best and made a great amount of money after each match.

Just like at his father's shop, he was a part of another style of his father's life. He was taught how to fight just like his dad. At 18 his father encouraged him to go into the ring. This is when his father was no longer encouraging but demanding and hard on him. He trained him until his knuckles bleed and at his limit and even then he'd push further. He no longer had the fun father who shared his knowledge and skills.

During one of his father's matches, his father's opponent shattered his leg leaving him unable to continue with that lifestyle. The injury also affected his father's ability to work at the shop. Ryker was now providing for the rest of his family since his father could no longer. His father's standards and harshness towards Ryker dropped drastically to the point Ryker felt his dad no longer cared about what he used to be so passionate about. This encouraged Ryker to work harder and continue his father's legacy. This time it wasn't just for his father, but it was for his family and most importantly for himself as well.

  • Healing Hands: Can heal anywhere from minor cuts and bruises to significant life-threatening injuries. Has to be touching the victim with her hands to heal them. The larger the injury healed, the longer the time it takes to replenish her ability (anywhere from minutes to days depending on the injury and amount of power used). Can heal others, but not herself. Cannot bring people back from the dead or heal chronic diseases.

Personality: Friendly, outgoing, patient, empathetic. Dislikes violence or conflict of any kind.

Background: Elora comes from a long line of those Chosen by the God Solaris. Her twin brother Eren has also been Chosen by Solaris. Her family is very strict, and through tradition, places a lot of pressure upon the Chosen members. She was raised to distrust Chosen from the other Houses. There is a lot of tension between Elora and her family as she does not share many of their strict beliefs.

  • Light: Can redirect light. He can project light into shapes or beams, or use the light to illuminate his skin, anywhere from a mild glow to blinding intensity. Must be in direct view of a light source of some kind to be able to use this ability. The larger the glow, the longer it takes to recover the power, anywhere for moments to days, and light can only be held for short periods at a time. Is often fatigued after redirecting light and energy.
  • Romantic Inclination: Has a vague sense of connections between people - a faint feeling projected to him (attraction, love, lust, etc.) When two people are touching, he is able to sense these emotions if he directs his attention and focus upon them. This ability is very hard for him to understand, and he often has difficulty interpreting the emotions versus his own. Does not work with all people, as if some are immune to it.

Personality: Extremely charming, flirtatious, easygoing, loves to joke, deflects through humor. Is protective of his sister.

Written Appearance: Light blonde hair, layered. Pale skin. Icy blue eyes, almost silver in appearance. 6'1". Thin build. Has a scar through his right eyebrow, and various random scars on his hands and chest from boxing. Has a tattoo dedicated to Solaris on his right anterior thigh.

Background: Eren comes from a long line of those Chosen by the God Solaris. His twin sister Elora has also been Chosen by Solaris. His family is very strict, and through tradition, places a lot of pressure upon the Chosen members. Eren does not take things as seriously as the rest of his family, and does not share his sister's need to achieve greatness. Eren simply strives to have a good time no matter what he is doing. He got into boxing a few years ago to assist with relieving some of his familial tension, against his sister's wishes. He was raised to distrust Chosen from the other Houses, but Eren enjoys everyone, a notorious flirt. Enjoys being around Fire most as he can redirect their light.

Powers & Abilities:
  • Reincarnation/Rebirth: Every time Realee dies, she comes back alive in the body of another person. If she's holding a toy with humanoid like features, she will reincarnate in that object. So in a robot, doll, or sculpture, or other humanoid looking object I have not yet thought about. :D
    Cooldown/Limits: whenever she takes over a body, she will inherit all the body's past knowledge and experience. That is why it will take her up to a week before she gets her memories about previous lives back. In that week she will live the exact same life and take over the behavior of the possessed body as if she was that body's soul. Also, when she dies, she needs to hold the body, or object, for her soul to transport itself into the other body. If not, she dies.
  • Shape shifting: She can shape-shift her body temporarily into one of the people, or objects, she had been reincarnated with. This shape shift ability will last at it's max for 48 hours, before she can retake that appearance again. If this body used to have special abilities, she will not take over these abilities. Only their memories. The buffer time is the same amount of time she has been shifted into the other person, or object. So if she shape-shifted for an hour in one persons' body, she needs one hour cooldown.

Personality: Realee is a shy but kind person, who always considers other people's feelings. She's very empathic and likes to make people around her feel happy and comfortable. She does not like confrontation, and is fearful of being disliked. This makes her a people pleaser. Whenever she meets people, she will likely compliment them in her head all the time, and has therefore a hard time seeing people faults or dark/evil sides. (Which makes her naive and easy to kill? And I guess also easy to love.)
Realee is terribly afraid to die. Her room is therefore full of humanoid toys, all holding hands or crocheting dolls. In her free time, you'll see her crocheting more dolls, with new outfits. They also each have their own name. Realee also wears little crocheting doll on her at all times (and she tries to keep this a secret). She also wears earrings with humanoid features. Like snowman earrings, and has a ring on each finger with a humanoid appearance.
She wished she was more of use, and feels useless most of the time in battles. Therefore she has this impulsive outburst where she does something incredibly stupid or brave. She also feels guilty for taking the lives off the people in whom she can shape-shift. And that's why she never really believes she deserves to live in.

Blond hair with bright blue eyes and fair skin. She had a curvaceous body and a kind and round face. She was considered beautiful and had gotten many heroine roles because of it.

Realee's day was one of the best of her life. Today she had just finished filming the final take, and all there was left to do was to celebrate with Keane. However, as they sat in the restaurant, one of Keane's 'friends' entered the restaurant. He shot in the in the air, and all people, except for Keane and a terrified Realee, stayed inside. Keane and the man argued about something Realee didn't understand. Something about money. When Keane refused to give it, and refused to do a job in return, the friend was mad and shot Keane. However, Realee saw it happen and jumped on Keane, taking the shot instead. She woke up as Keane, seeing her own dead body in his arms. Realee didn't know back then that she was dead. And that she wasn't Keane. So, she roared in pain and frustration, suddenly having full knowledge of their argument, and killed the friend.

After a week, Realee's memories returned. She realized that she wasn't Keane. Instead Realee had been reborn in Keane's body, and Keane was gone. All she had left of him were his memories, and the knowledge he had loved her. However, there came revenge for the death of Keane's friend. Another man came by. Throwing the doll in Keane's arms, explaining how the daughter of the friend had to live a life without a father. Realee looked at the doll. Feeling guilty and tried to apologize. Instead, she was shot again.

This time Realee woke up as a doll. The man who had killed Keane, picked up the doll and took it home, to give it to his spoiled son. The son was a real brat. He was extremely spoiled and annoying. Upon seeing the doll, he had wanted to throw it in the fire immediately. However, he had gotten one of his anger outburst, and teared the doll to shreds. Realee woke up as the young boy. Behaving like a real brat and bully. Until she had gotten her own memories back, and decided too safe this child's future. She behaved like the perfect little gentleman, and was quickly loved by anyone she met. However, getting so much attention, was making some people jealous.

Like Rosie, the wife of the boy's father, and the little boy's step-father. In a flare of anger outburst, she strangled the boy by accident. Realee woke up in Rosie's body. And, still thinking she was Rosie, got terrified of her own action and ran away from her husband and this dark world. After a week Realee got her memories back and decided to go the city of Astoria. She got into the academy, and learned there she could also shape shift into the people who's body she had taken over.

Because of his roots, Iwan is decent at cultivation. He also surreptitiously good at tailor because he often has to alter his suits to match the latest trends.

Powers & Abilities:

It is possible to revive the dead, but at the cost of life—Iwan hid this ability because he didn't want to be someone else's mobile coverage. Can heal himself, but the effect is slow. Treating others with fatal injuries can take a lot of effort and shorten his life span, so he tries to avoid those requests.

Can do simple tricks like reserve light into an orb to dazzle opponents/light up a room or navigate in the dark. The orb needs to be charged with light, otherwise it's useless unless you want to throw it at someone's head.

Personality:

Iwan is obsessed with keeping things principled. He has lied about his résumé so much, it has become a habit. Normally, he pretentious and flirty, but when he's drunk, he reveals his true self—ditzy and elvish. The brunet is nice in his own way.

Written Appearance:

Tanned skin, six feet tall with a solid build. Iwan has curly dark brown hair that is somewhat reddish due to sunburn that reaches his chin. His pea green eyes are always narrowed because of nearsightedness, however, he rarely wears glasses unless necessary. He has a rustic charm that is hard to conceal.

Background:

Born into a poor, illiterate peasant family, Iwan spent his childhood in a nameless town near the foothills. As the eldest son of a family of eight, the brunet has responsibilities that cannot be avoided. Ever since finding out that Solaris has blessed him, Iwan's parents realized this was the chance to resolve their lives and raise the family's status, joining the nobility. They spent their savings to hire the capital's top teacher to teach their cloddish son literacy, how to behave and speak like an aristocrat. They acquired him the most fancy clothes they could manage, in the faith that he might catch the eye of some noble lady.

While Iwan doesn't enjoy being treated like a stallion, he still loves his family. Outwardly, he strives to please his parents; on the inside, he wants to prove himself and doesn't want his worth to depend on others.

Skills:
Natural medicinal remedies- Using flowers and herbs to create teas, poultices, essential oils, compresses and etc to cure or relieve ailments of many varieties. Included in this is the in-depth study of flora and fauna, everything that can help you and everything that can hurt you. It's extremely important to know what you are working with and identify a plant correctly… else you could wind up poisoning yourself or your patient.

Archery- Ahmy is very passionate about preserving her culture in various ways, one of which is practicing and perfect the art of archery. She's become quite an excellent shot.

Cooking- Ahmy loves to cook and bake, you'll often hear her humming a jolly little tune as she works in the kitchen.

Sewing- Whether it's simply mending of her clothes or creating the beloved traditional regalia of her Cherokee people, Ahmy is quite handy with a needle and thread. Her nimble fingers have produced quite splendidly beautiful beadwork.


Powers & Abilities:

Chlorokinesis- The ability to either hyper stimulate the growth of plants and controls the movements of plants already existing in nature.

Stimulating plant growth requires concentration, it will not work if Ahmy is not permitted to focus on her task.

Controlling plants is a little bit energy consuming and using it for little things here and there is not very taxing, but using it for more than 30 minutes at a time (with like a twenty minute rest in between) or to do something grand-scale can leave her feeling weary and fatigued.

Commune with the Earth Mother, Terraria- Ahmy can place her palms upon the Earth and do a number of things. She must choose one at the time she attempts to commune with Terraria. THIS ABILITY IS ONCE A DAY.

  1. Ahmy can open herself up and allow Terraria to communicate with her what she wants of her in a particular situation via a sharing of feelings and emotions, she is allowed three questions of a yes and no nature. The answers are usually a pleasant and sweet smelling warm breeze for yes or to mean something positive and a cold breeze for no or to mean something negative.
  2. She can focus hard and gain understanding of the terrain and where safe drinking water can be found, she can also know the location of animals and human life in the immediate area. This is limited to a mile distance extending out all around where Ahmy is situated.


Personality: Ahmy has a very kind and serene demeanor as her normal everyday personality, she is compassionate and loyal to no end, she cares deeply for nature and enjoys spending time outside among trees and flowers as often as she can. It always makes her a little sad when Winter begins to set in and puts all of Nature into a quiet four month sleep.

Ahmy loves to make other people smile, be it with her exquisite cooking or just with a clever little joke... heck even a hug when someone really needs one. It always makes her feel all warm and fuzzy inside to have had something to do with a smile on someone's face. People smile too infrequently it seems in passing years and smiles do much to make the world just a little bit brighter.

This young woman loves deeply and is not afraid to make an emotional connection with another person, she always has room in her heart for another friend and she is sometimes quick to fall in love, though she's working on trying to reign herself in a little on that and slow down, she reminds herself it is important to stop and think a little more clearly when the heart starts thumping that lovely little romantic rhythm as to avoid getting your heart stomped on like a discarded elephant ear at the carnival.

Like the forces of nature though, Ahmy can occasionally have a volatile temper, but this is quite rare for her... usually only in times when she has been dealt a just downright god-awful insult or been slighted in an unforgiveable fashion. Or heaven help the soul responsible, if someone were to harm those she has come to love and consider her family, Ahmy's wrath would rival the tempestuous hurricanes or volcanic eruptions known to man. NO ONE hurts her loved ones.

Background: Ahmy was born on the great plains of Astoria to a peaceful tribe of Cherokee Native Americans, she has grown up raised by her Shaman Grandmother, Awinita Proud-Bear, her father's mother. Ahmy's mother and father disappeared when she was two… Awinita remains adamant that the Earth Mother Terraria's sworn enemy took them to punish her for standing strong even after so many eons.

The 'Earth Heart' tribe has always been devout followers of the Earth Mother Terraria, they worship her and do her will to care for the Earth in every way they possibly can, through mortals means, spiritual and ritualistic… making them a very tempting target for anything out there that might hate Terraria. Ahmy's mother was training under Awinita to one day take over the tribe's lead Shaman when Awinita was ready to retire and rest her weary shoulders… Ahmy often thinks about her parents and wonders if they will ever come back… or if some terrible evil enemy of the Earth Mother Terraria really did take them.

Now, it will fall to Ahmy to one day take over as the Shaman of her people… her Grandmother says it is clear that this is her destiny, as evidence has begun to surface more and more ever since her childhood that Ahmy has been chosen and blessed by Terraria's own hand. Historical and cultural studies- Sebastian has always been fascinated by the history and cultures of the world, he spends a lot of his free time studying all of that. If you wanted to know something that happened in the past or a particular culture of people, he's your guy.

Powers & Abilities:

The Dead Speak- Sebastian has the ability to see and speak with the spirits of the dead. He is tasked by Lunari to assist spirits that come to him in crossing over to their proper after-death destination.

Opening himself up to the dead for more than two hours at a time in between an eight hour rest is extremely taxing upon Sebastian physically and mentally as the dead tend to draw copious amounts of energy to themselves when they come to him.

Magick adept- Being chosen by Lunari, Sebastian is able to wield arcane magick of just about any variety with little to no difficulty, it's as easy as learning to ride a bike for Sebastian. He is exceptionally gifted with conjuring and transfiguration.

While magick in general is walk in the park for Sebastian, the art of conjuring and transfiguration (the art of turning something into something else) can be exhausting depending on what exactly Sebastian is trying to do.

Conjuring something simply like maybe spell regents is nothing, but trying to conjure something like money or large objects like a car, that would require that Sebastian is permitted to have a rest of at least an hour or more.

He's good at illusions as well, images that appear real but do not move or make any sound. Touching them immediately dispels the illusion.

Personality:
On the outside, Sebastian is elegant and charming, he is the very picture of sophistication and graceful refinement. He is respectful and traditional when it comes to the ladies and how to treat them. In short, he is the ideal gentleman.

On the inside, all of that remains true… although things get more complicated… Sebastian is bitter and resentful of his health matters, he is angry and doesn't understand why this is happening to him.

In some ways, Sebastian can be quite cruel and bordering on sadistic, he is largely unphased by the suffering of others, though this has not always been the case. He is exceptionally good at hiding this side of himself.

Sebastian is good at people. He's good at deceiving and manipulating them in a wide variety of ways. No one ever suspects there is a monster lurking beneath that beautiful and elegant exterior.

One might call Sebastian an Anti-Villain.

This young man never started out as a cruel and sadistic evil shitbag and in some ways, doesn't really want to be, but how do you fight deep rooted anger, bitterness and a corruption that has spent years wriggling its way into your heart?

Sebastian was abandoned at four years old on the steps of the Temple of the Divine. He has no memories beyond that.

They are certain the reasons for the abandonment is the rare and baffling blood disease that he has… it makes him feel tired and fatigued often, he requires a blood transfusion once a month to keep the disease from killing him by the time he's 30.

Finding that this boy was chosen by Lunari, they believe it was the Goddess of Darkness's will that they save him and in turn, enable him to do the dark goddess's will in the world as the other chosen of Lunari are destined to do as well.

The truth is… while the blood transfusions help, the strongest factor in Sebastian's health progress is when he reached his early teens… and discovered he had a powerful talent for Necromancy… the forbidden magical art of death itself.
He discovered rituals that allowed him to sap little bits of life energy from others at the temple, only small tiny bits that would go unnoticed, from several individuals at time once per month around the same time as his blood transfusions… he continued to do this completely under the radar for years.

When he turned 18… things took a turn for the worse for Sebastian… his blood disease grew more aggressive and for a while, the temple believed they might have to move up to two transfusions a month.
Desperate to live, a weak and fragile Sebastian made his way into the nearest town in the dead of night… he came upon a beautiful blonde woman stepping out of a dwelling after some rather scandalous extra-marital stepping out on her husband… he used his own captivating good looks to lure the woman into an alley under the pretenses of some bonus passion with a handsome young stud before she went home.

She never saw it coming when he pulled his knife and jammed it into her heart… he covered her mouth to thwart her attempts to scream and began chanting his dark words… he could feel it as her life essence was siphoned into him, her weakened dying body unable to resist him as he pulled more and more until there was nothing left to take.

He left her there, colorless and dead on the ground and returned to the temple.

Everyone was astonished at the way Sebastian had made such progress overnight, but did not question it much as they were just relieved that he had made it out of those dangerous woods and was still with them.

Meanwhile, Sebastian had gotten a taste of intoxicating power, power over life and death… and he liked it… he liked it a lot… necromancy was so much more than he ever thought it could be and he was excited to see what new doors he could open next…

At the same time, he felt conflicted… he loved his Goddess Lunari, he loved that she valued him so much that she tasked him with such a sacred duty as guiding and counseling the souls of the dead. He loved her so much that he never had and never would consider devouring the souls that came to him. They were precious, they were sacred.
He knew what Lunari would think of his dabbling in Necromancy… it was unnatural and tampered with the balance of life and death… but what choice did he have? He did not wish to die before his time. He could not die, he had too much to do. He would only go when he was old and gray, when he had lived his natural mortal lifespan on this Earth, just like all the other chosen.

He could only hope that Lunari could find it in herself to forgive him… because he was uncertain when he would need to kill again…

Speeding up to present day, Sebastian is diligent in his Lunari duties and has often been tapped to show around new arrivals. He has been doing exceptionally well health wise and his blood transfusions have lessened to once every three months. The temple is hopeful that eventually, he will no longer need them at all anymore…

  • Shadow Manipulation: Veronica can control the shadows around her, turning it into a tangible matter. It can be used as a shield, tendrils to grab or slash, or even to lift her or others. The more darkness, the stronger her ability. The brighter the area, the weaker she is.

Personality: Veronica is a quiet and studious woman. She is often very friendly but not overtly outgoing. She typically prefers to sit and observe people rather than putting herself out there to talk herself.

Written Appearance: Veronica stands at about 5'7" and has a slim build. She holds more weight in her hips and thighs with a small waist and small chest. Her most notable feature is her soft pink toned hair.

Background: Veronica was born to a small farm family in the valleys of Astoria. Her father maintained a large portion of crops while her mother ran an all natural remedies shop out of their home. She had a pleasant childhood, always getting lost in a book or helping her mom in the shop. She was always fascinated by magick and read many books on it, learning various spells as well as other remedies her mother could use for the shop.

When her powers manifested, the dark nature of them was a cause for concern by other villagers. "The Little Shadow Demon" was often what she was referred to. She had little control over them at first, much like most people when they are chosen. Her shadows would lash out whenever she was in a state of high emotional charge, something common for a teen. Her parents tried to keep her close to home in hopes of keeping her safe, but more so, to keep others safe from her.

She spent the next eight years trying to learn to control the shadows and not allow them to lose control when she was emotionally charged. The day she received her letter, she was surprised, as was her family. They figured the time would come eventually but they were unsure if it was safe for Veronica to attend. She insisted that she would be fine and that the opportunity could help her further control the ability. They reluctantly agreed.

She knew she was blessed by Lunari for a reason and surely the dark nature of her power did not mean she was destined for evil or to harm others. She was determined to prove that the House of Darkness wasn't just bad or scary people.

  • Charisma: Val is very charismatic and can easily strike up a conversation with anyone. She can be very commanding and holds attention well. Many say she has a silver tongue.

  • Art of Stealth and Deception: Using her charisma, she has gotten really good at taking things right before your eyes without you ever noticing. She is a master at Sleight of Hand and uses the skill often.
  • Daggers: Valkyrie was taught by her father how to proficiently utilize daggers both in close combat and as a projectile.

Powers & Abilities:
  • Fire Manipulation: Val can summon and control flames. She can use this ability in a variety of ways from throwing softball sized flame balls at an opponent, using flames to surround herself, or in long whip-like tendrils. She is naturally resistant to the flames and their heat but can still be burned if contact lasts too long. The cool down is based on the size and how long she has to maintain the flame. Most small flames she can maintain for a few hours, large tendrils or walls, only a half hour. The longer she holds the flames active, the more tiring it is on her body. She has a risk of overheating which can put her in a catatonic state for up to twelve hours.
    • This ability is naturally weak against cold, water, and lack of air. If she is below freezing temps, herself or the area is too wet, or there is a lack of viable oxygen, she can not produce a strong flame.
  • Dragons Burst: Dragons Burst is a special ability that stems from her Fire Manipulation. During a heated battle, she may call on her family's totem and produce a large flame dragon. This dragon can then attack an entity with a high damage attack. The cooldown for this is a week and renders Valkyrie useless for the remainder of the fight. She would only use this in a dire situation, or with a well executed plan.

Personality: Valkyrie is a spitfire who is always happy to start up a conversation. She is vibrant and outgoing, sometimes even on the edge of flirtatious. She has no issues speaking her mind and holding her own. She respects those that earn it but will stand firm against those that put down others or try to take advantage of those that have less than them.

Written Appearance: Sleek and curvaceous with an even hourglass shape. She is on the shorter side, about 5'3", and has brilliant red waves.

Background: Valkyrie was raised by her father, a blacksmith for Astoria. Her mother had passed during childbirth, leaving it to be just her and her father. She was always very outgoing and loved playing with the other kids from the neighboring orphanage and became fiercely protective over them. As she got older she started to do work to help out with the orphaned kids, working days in a cafe. The patrons always loved her bright personality.

Wanting to make more money, she found that she could very easily manipulate the wealthy. She began to learn ways to use sleight of hand, performing in the streets with her dancing and taking from the unsuspecting wealthy. Her father began to teach her the use of daggers to give her another form of protection while she continued the risky lifestyle. She was able to bring in more than enough to support her father as he aged and couldn't work the forge as much.

When she turned eighteen and her abilities manifested, her father shared with her a family secret. Her family came from a long line of those blessed by Kai and they had a small totem that they worshiped in his name. The totem was a small dragon surrounding a sword. He explained that Kai was always looking over their family, now it was her turn. When her letter came for the Temple of the Divine, her father was ecstatic. She knew she wanted to make her family proud and couldn't wait for the new adventures that lied ahead.

Powers & Abilities:
Ice Manipulation: Form ice and control it as long as there's moisture present. In its base form, he can use the ice like a shield or small projectiles, or even encase things within ice. His body has a natural adaptation to cold and can withstand the freezing temperatures longer than a normal person. The larger amount of ice that is used requires more water in the area and will need a longer recovery time after.
Ice Arrows: Ísarr can craft arrows made of strong ice, they have a freezing effect upon contact. He can produce a volley of twelve arrows every day.

Personality: Keeps to himself, prefers smaller groups over larger gatherings. Not easy to get close to. He can be cordial but often doesn't build deeper relationships. When he does build friendships, he can be very loyal. Sometimes can be on edge when its comes to new people, often wary of new connections.

Written Appearance: Standing at 5'11", he has a strong build. His upper body is strong and defined and he has a small tattoo on his right shoulder. He has soft blue hair that is often a bit disheveled.

Background: His father was blessed by Kai, the God of Fire, but upon receiving his letter to attend the Temple of the Divine, he found out his wife was to have their first child. After a long battle of his choices, he decided to deny the calling and stay with his wife.

Nine months later, there was a terrible winter storm plaguing the mountains. They were traveling to try to get to town before she gave birth but went into labor midway. The severe snowstorm forced them to take cover in a nearby cavern.

His father gathered some wood and was able to start a small fire but knew he needed to get help and fast. He left his laboring wife there to make the trek alone to try and get help. When he finally returned, he was met with the site of his wife lying lifelessly on the ground, curled around something. The flames were just barely hanging on.

He and the doctor ran over and found his wife to be dead, her skin like ice. When they moved her, they found his son lying curled against her with hair that was icy blue. He feared the worst and reached down to see if his son had a pulse. When the baby's eyes opened, his father quickly grabbed him, wrapping him in one of the blankets they brought. The doctor was amazed that he survived.

Growing up, Ísarr learned everything he needed to know about surviving the harsh mountains from his father. From hunting to traversing the mountain paths, Ísarr grew up strong and agile. His father would tell him stories of his mother and of how he was blessed by Kai, but turned down the calling for his family. He was certain that Kai would bless the family again.

When Ísarr turned eighteen he woke to being frigid in his room. Ice had formed over parts of his bed and skin. When his father came in to find it, he realized his son was in fact blessed by Bahari. His father began to tell Ísarr that he was cursed, it was a curse all along, from the moment he was born. He kicked him out, wanting nothing to do with a cursed child.

Ísarr spent the next few years held up in a small cabin in the mountains. He fended for himself and used the hunting skills that his father taught him to survive the harsh conditions. He worked on his abilities, resenting them at first. Often wondering if he was in fact a curse, was he responsible for his mothers death.

  • Terraform (aka Earth Manipulation): Albrecht has the ability to manipulate the earth in small scale. This gift, given to him directly by Terraria, allows him to affect the earth's firmament, causing minor earthquakes. He can also move rock, sand and stone, reshape it and dislodge it from the firmament itself. Ultimately, Albrecht believes he will be able to cultivate the ability to move mountains, though for now, he cannot.
  • Vulpes Orandi (aka Fox Prayer): Albrecht has the ability to communicate with Foxes - any and all members of the genus Vulpes. As a result of this ability, Albrecht is nearly always being watched over by overprotective little eyes. Foxes will often follow him from the shadow of Nature's cover and do his bidding when he beckons. They are his friends and his protectors.

Personality: Albrecht is whip-smart and extremely antisocial. He prefers the company of books and foxes to that of people. His disposition is one of both caution and distrust. However, Albrecht has a fierce sense of loyalty. Once he has committed to you as a friend, colleague or lover, he will unflinchingly and forever stand by your side.

Written Appearance: Albrecht is six-foot-seven-inches tall with messy, tawny hair, brown eyes and fair skin. A huge, multi-slash scar decorates his right cheek - given to him by his father during fencing practice.

Background: Albrecht's bloodline is ancient and aristocratic. His supremely wealthy family oppressed the people in the small mountain village he called home. The exhibiting of his powers led to his imprisonment for five years in the keep of his family's castle. His imprisonment ended when Terraria came to him in a dream, demanding that he set himself free. A small earthquake then brought the castle down around him. He was the only survivor.

However, he can only produce one at a time and it takes great concentration and physical stamina to maintain.

Personality: Chrétien is a sweet, yet melancholic fellow. He makes himself comfortable in a crowded room by behaving like a shadow, vigilant and quiet, unless he is asked to perform a song or lyric poem.

Written Appearance: Chrétien is five-foot-ten-inches tall with white hair, blue eyes and very fair skin. He has a slender but muscular build and is very physically agile.

Background: Chrétien is the bastard son of the Grafenreuth family and Albrecht's half-brother. He was born in a nearby village and was raised by his mother, a village seamstress. He was given his father's surname before the family's death, and although he and Albrecht know of each other, they have had little to no direct contact.

Personality: Jacob is a little shy. But he hides under a lot of bravada. And tends to make an ass of himself to those who don't tend to like the Lunaria house. Cares about those that are lost and feel different from the other houses.

Written Appearance: He is 6'2. Around 145 lbs in weight. Pitch black hair combed to the side bangs that hang just above his left eye. His eyes are a Robin's eggs blue set. Skin is a soft alabaster skin. Usually dressed in black band shirts.

Background: Jacob Allen Ritter born to a well known family. His mother single-handedly raised him as his father was basically nonexistent in his life. His mother, being of the prominent side of the family tree. Passed her last name Ritter onto him. Descending from the name Von Ritter.

Before the age of 18, he would spend his time playing his bass. Listening to music. Random harmless trickery. And help out his mom when he could. However his mother had died during the first year into the academy. He fell into a small dark phase. That didn't really help with the image of his house.

Jacob doesn't dislike the other house. He just dislikes the thoughts that clouds their judgment toward his own. And hopes to be an example of his house. While still being an assassin for the Goddess, Lunari.

1 : Supernatural strength:
Khione is stronger that any normal human. She can lift objects over 200 kg with ease and can literally punch an opponent to the moon. This is an ability that has to get 'turned on,' by an extreme emotion. Such as anger, contempt or disgust. Why? Because these emotions are associated with violence (according to google xD). After the usage of this power, she will physically be very weak. In extreme cases, immobile. This ability does not affect her Electrokineses powers. She will also feel emotionally numb, uncaring and tired. How long these effects last, will depend on the intensity and duration of the power. At Astoria Academy, she will train her body to make the duration of this power last longer, and have a faster recover speed.

Electrokinesis: The power to manipulate and create lightning, moving at lightning speed, striking a large group of people with lighting. It's a very destructive power.
Weakness - Electrokinesis are absolutely useless against rubber. That's why she has swords.
When using her ability a lot, she can overheat. When continuing using her powers, she can explode. She will need a cooldown, until her skin is not hot to touch anymore. You can speed up this process by throwing her into cool water, or rolling her trough snow. She will be able to use her powers once she is dry and had some sleep. Her eyes will light up if she uses a lot of her power. They will glow if the temperature in her body is rising.

Personality: Rarely gets consumed by panic, and is level headed in heated situations. She's very competitive, and sees everything as a game, has a calculating gaze, and always wants to win. She never backs down from a challenge. Khione has a little malicious streak, but is like a right hand to any of her friends. She is very confident in her abilities, yet, she is laid back and introvert outside of the battlefield.

Written Appearance: White thick hair, a round innocent face. With pale blue eyes and rosy lips.

A baby lay in the freezing snow. That was how Khione got her name. The baby was found by General Shea of Astoria along edge of the forest. He thought it was a miracle how a baby survived in such hazardous circumstances. He knew immediately that this baby was strong, so he adopted her, and trained her to later be part of army. When Khione turned 18 (the day she was found was her birthday), she was officially part of the army. She had learned about weapons and how to use them, learned tactics, and martial arts. It was incredible how quickly Khione managed to master each skill the general trained her in. He was therefore not surprised to see that Khione was chosen by Kai, the God of Fire, to attend Astoria Academy. He also noticed that she was supernaturally strong when angered. Therefore, he practice hypnotic techniques to keep Khione calm and safe from her fellow army brothers. When Khione was 21 when she first discovered her power of electrokinesis. Running outside in a storm is when she got hit by lightning. Somehow she could feel where the lightning was going to strike, so she pushed General Shea away to get struck by it instead. The blast should have killed her, but instead her eyes glowed blue with electricity that pulse through her veins. A wicked grin spread over her face as she sent the electricity back to the sky. It was not surprise then that she heard Kai, and said she was one of the Chosen.

Powers & Abilities:
  • Animal Manipulation: Can only influence their behavior, commanding them to do her bidding. The larger the animal (or more dangerous) the less likely it is to work. If she has a close enough bond with the animal in question they can mind link but it takes a lot of focus to maintain for longer than 30 minutes, if she tries to push past 10 minutes she gets severe headaches that can last for hours. She must wait an hour before trying to mind link again.
  • Chlorokinesis: The ability to mentally and/or physically summon, control and manipulate plants and vegetation, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. She can cause plants to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil.

Personality: Wyn has always been very soft spoken, choosing to sit back and learn as much as she can. Due to this she is not very social but does go to social functions to learn about new people. When someone new tries to interact with her she tends to stumble over her words although she is trying to do better for her parents sake. Not one to initiate but is too polite to turn down interaction even if it makes her uncomfortable since that was how she was brought up.

Written Appearance: A small frame, standing only at 5'2", she tends to blend into the background. She has black hair that falls to the back of her knees and pale green eyes on the verge of gray. She tends to wear white flowing gowns.

Background: Raised in an upper class household Wyn had a relatively happy childhood if a bit sheltered from the world. Her mother tried to raise her to be the perfect little lady and often referred to her by Terrwyn. On the other side of things was her father who was just a pure ball of energy and would call her little one at every opportunity. Wyn was always close with her father and would join him on his trips to the stables to learn all she could about horses to the disdain of her mother who believed it wasn't befitting a young lady. Every chance she got, her mother would fill her time with lessons on how to be proper and well educated for high society. Needless to say all the lessons and time with her father left no time for socialization with children her own age so she never had any friends besides the family horses.
When she reached the age of 18 her father decided it was time to get her her own horse and so he brought in a group of beautiful steeds for her to choose from. Out of the group the one that stood out to Wyn was a gorgeous friesian stallion. They hit it off immediately and it was as if they were one entity. It was around this same time that Terraria called out to her, asking her to accept her call, and she did. When she returned from her ride she told her father of the voice she had heard and his once bright face began to go pale. None in their family had ever been chosen and he feared his little one would not be up to the task. He tried to hide her from her fate as best he could but once the letter came he knew he really had no choice since Wyn had made up her mind to see it through.
She packed her bags and said one last goodbye to her parents who even at this moment were trying to postpone her departure in hopes that she would change her mind. In the four years prior to the letter she tried to learn her new abilities the best she could but she is definitely not confident in her powers just yet.

  • Calm/Quiet -> Luka is a very calm man and tends to be more on the quiet side. He knows how to handle stress with calmness and can problem solve this way. He walks and talks quietly as well, occasionally accidentally sneaking up on people. He is not good at being sneaky on purpose, however.
  • Reader -> An avid reader. He prefers educational books on the rivers and seas of the continent. He also studies the river ecology, wildlife, and seasonal flow patterns.

  • Water Manipulation -> When he is calm and focused, Luka can control water. He refuses to use this as for violence and he can only use it when he's calm. The water reflects his emotions so if he becomes upset, the water becomes turbulent, and he can no longer control it.
  • Spectral companion-> A spirit descending from the river Luka grew up on. A family of river otters migrated territories, crossing through his parent's property. They left behind a sickly pup that Luka tried to heal. It didn't make it and Luka returned the body to the water with a small funeral. A few days later, the river gave life to the deceased otter in the form of a spirit. It formed a liking for Luka. It comes and goes as it wants. Luka can summon and communicate with it, but he does not control it.

Personality: Calm and happy, he is always looking for the optimistic view. He makes friends easily and he's outgoing. Even so, he's generally more on the quiet side during social interactions as he is more of a listener than a talker. Luka often faces his problems head-on instead of letting them grow worse, but he isn't always the best at communicating exactly what he's thinking. Too worried to hurt another's feelings, he often doesn't voice his true thoughts on social problems.


Written Appearance: Shaggy brown hair that's almost reaching his shoulders and dark yellow-brown eyes. He's tall and fit from swimming his entire life. There tribal tattoos from his village across his arms and chest that represent important marks in his life, such as the first time he swam against the currents on his own, his first time spearing the large species of fish, reaching his eighteenth birthday, etc. The village created a special one for being chosen by the God as well.

Background: Luka grew up an only child in a small fishing village. The village was like a large family and their lives were centered around the broad river they lived alongside. The river fed them, gave them fresh water, provided them goods to sell, and so forth. Every year, the village held a small festival to thank the river and the Water God for giving it to them. Luka and his parents were spear fishers and they specialized in collected the large sturgeon fish, as well as the eggs from the species. This is a massive fish that can live a long time so it was regarded as special and they only took what was needed. They also fed the fish, making sure the population was healthy enough to take from.
Luka did not know he had special gifts until after the river spirit, the otter (Venrir), started to interact with him. The otter kept itself a secret from anyone else in the village. Once Luka discovered he could manipulate the water, he kept that a secret as well. It was unnatural and scared him a little. The village was all he knew, and they would shun him for this potentially demonic power. About a year later, Luka did tell his parents and he got the opposite reaction he was expecting. They were excited! His parents as well as some of the elders explained to him the gifts of the Gods and Astoria. No one in the village had ever been chosen before so no one spoke of these gifts. There was a celebration for Luka, then when the warm season came, he bid his home and family farewell and made the journey to Astoria.

  • Air Manipulation - Nadine can manipulate the air around her in order to achieve various outcomes.
    • Feather Step - Using her ability, she creates cushions of air beneath her feet to make her approach silent to those with an average hearing. If someone has enhanced hearing, they would hear the slight whooshing of the air.
    • Air Boost - She can use a pocket of air to boost her movement in any open direction. A small boost can take her roughly two meters, a large can take her ten meters but requires an hour cooldown.
    • Guided Arrow - Using the air around her she can guide her arrows to their target, including curving around obstacles. With no obstacles, she can hit a target with 100% accuracy up to 450 Meters, anything past that has a 5% reduction per 50 meters up to 600 meters. If there are obstacles in which she must curve the arrows path, she can hit with 100% accuracy up to 250 meters and then accuracy reduces by 5% per 50 meters up to 450 meters.
  • Time Clock - Nadine can also manipulate time in relation to her or those she is touching. She can either speed up or slow down time, the effect lasting no longer than ten minutes. There is an hour cooldown between usage. Those around her would not notice the effect, she would simply move faster or slower in relation to those around her. She can bring this effect to others but has to have a hand on them at all times.


Personality: When Nadine was young, she was incredibly bright and adventurous. She was very ambitious and proved to be a great addition to the Chosen of the Divine. Now as she has aged, she has taken on a motherly role to the Chosen. She is wise and caring and always gentle.

Written Appearance: Nadine is very petite, standing only at 5'2"/157cm, she has a fairly small frame. This allows her air movement to be more effective. Her hair has now turned a light silvery color and she has pale green eyes.

Background: Nadine grew up in the valley of Astoria with two loving parents. Her father was a dedicated farmer and her mother was a school teacher who shared her love of reading with Nadine. Growing up, Nadine spent her days under the trees reading anything she could get her hands on. She was far brighter than many of her peers so her mother gave her lessons that were for students much older. She thrived on this.

When her powers manifested, her parents could not be more proud. They were supportive and encouraged her when she got her letter to the Temple a few years later. At the Temple of the Divine, Nadine proved herself a very valuable Chosen and quickly harnessed the abilities gifted to her by Makani. At the end of her stay, she was offered to stay on as an Elder. This allowed her to continue her stay at the Temple and teach the future generations of Chosen. She worked her way up and soon, as the old headmaster retired, she took on the title of Headmistress.

Overuse of any ability will render her incredibly drowsy/nauseous, and lose most- if not all, motor function.

Personality:
Quail is a seemingly modest and reserved young woman. Constantly fighting against her anxiety and self-consciousness, she may look aloof and clueless, but she is internally overwhelmed for most of her days. She doesn't talk much normally, but once she finds the right person to chat with- it's hard to get her to quiet down again.

She prefers sneaking away most days, being alone and going swimming for leisure time to help quell her thoughts. Otherwise, she is rather idle, and doesn't like the idea of having too many friends.

She has light green eyes, and silver hair with a subtle ombre to white at the tips. Paired with short eyebrows of the same color. Her hair is oddly cut, with a short bob on top, and a long and flat under-layer. She wears glasses with a neck-cord and a face-veil. Paired with neutral colored clothes, she prefers long and flowy unrestricting garments to relax in. Quail has a round face, with chubby cheeks, and is a healthy weight with a pear shaped body with fair/medium colored skin. She's around 160cm in height. (5ft 3in)

Background:

Her family's lineage has long been devoted to merchantry; thus, they are a wealthy family with ties to ports and trade. Many of her ancestors have been chosen to join the House of Bahari. As a result, devotion to this diety has become a family virtue. Her father was obsessed with the privileges that would come with having a chosen as his offspring. He has never been selected himself; having been raised poor as a child, living on the port, doing small jobs for money, and never having enough to eat. He'd worked his way up to be a wealthy man through hard work and multiple marriages, and he'd made it his life's mission to bring a chosen one into this world to help him grow his wealth prestige, and opportunities even more. In order to secure a future for him and his family, he of course took to having as many children as possible. Out of Quail and her 10 half-siblings, the family was expecting to host a chosen one from the brood. All of the children were raised preparing to receive the blessing of the family's chosen deity. Alongside being raised as proper and well mannered aristocrats. For some of the children, becoming chosen was a dream come true. For others, marrying rich and living a lavish life was the way to go, some were too young to care; in any case, they would all plan to support each other first and foremost with whatever fate had in store for them. Quail's father had three wives; his first, Amalthea Lowenthal, was an older woman who bore him four sons before passing away from a winter flu. The second was Aimee Auinevere, Quail's mother. She was undone by an overlooked mental illness before being taken away to a apothecary, where she was never seen again, when Quail was around 2 years old. Quail was Aimee's only child, causing her father to dote on her especially. The third wife was Jenette Grace, who bore him 6 children in total and was currently still the household mother for all 11 of them, well into her 50s. Now, on the day of the latest choosing, Quail was plucked out from the rest of her siblings, just a month after her 19th birthday. She is among the newest chosen, and particularly one of the most disengaged. It wasn't her plan to do much at all in her adulthood. Years of spoiling from her father had rendered her lazy and uninterested in traveling or doing much else aside from pleasant pastimes such as swimming or crafts. The sudden pressure from her family and community was enough to move her to be the person her family was depending on to secure their future. When brought to the temple, she went out of her way to avoid people. Finding it exhausting to keep up relations with others. Completing training for her abilities has always been slow progress, someone as impatient as her was constantly afraid of failing. Yet, a part of her yearned for the significance that came with being powerful and successful for Astoria, without working for it of course. Her opinions on the other houses were all neutral, but she was happy to stay with the other studious students chosen of Bahari, who'd keep to themselves.

-Water And Steam Manipulation:
She can control the direction and shaping of water and steam. With water, smaller amounts are far easier to control- requiring less energy and concentration in order to manipulate things. However steam has presented the exact opposite issue for her- needing far more of it for her to be able to start to control its use currently due to the higher concentration of water. With water, she can utilize a small amount in a confined location for quite a long time. Anything over a gallon she can only utilize for short periods of time currently. Steam she still struggles to control basic movement at this point in time.


Personality:
Ida loves that despite what people consider a rough and tumble industry as her guide in life that she still embraces her femininity. She has never seen why people are always so surprised that she can be a feminine engineer. Then again she often finds people's trains of thought to be quite different from her own. Thinking about how these new jumps in technology can be used to help rather than profit. Sure money bought her nice things and all, but she would happily give up every nice dress she owned to help distribute her tech to the poor.

She tends to be rather blunt about these beliefs as well, which is why she fits in much better personality-wise in a workshop than a ballroom. Because honestly, she doesn't really care about if she pisses someone off or not, because if the discussion isn't had then how are things going to change? She can have a bit of a temper, her mother always said it was her fault for raising her around all that steam power. More temperamental than an old steam engine her father would say. Either way, it burns fast, and hot, but goes just as quickly.

She is loyal as can be, once she knows you, and will have your back and do her best to support you in any way she can.

Written Appearance:
Ida has a fairly average build that can lean towards the slender side at times. She has long dark brown hair she often keeps tucked up, a paler complexion, and dark eyes. She tends to cover up in public as often as possible to not draw further attention to her, but while among friends or more relaxed company she will happily show off her special accessories. You see as a young teen she ended up in an accident with a steam engine explosion and lost an arm. Thanks to the benefit of her family being well off she was able to get some of the newer steam tech prosthetics to help her keep her dexterity. She has a heavier-duty golden-toned arm for working, and a porcelain-looking one for more every day that covers up more of the inner workings. Her work clothing tends to be masculine, but otherwise, she is not afraid to embrace her femininity.

Background:
Ida was born to fairly successful members of the engineering guild- happily utilizing her mother's blessing from Bahari to improve and push steam technology to perform more efficiently. She was raised in their workshop, taking her lessons there to become accustomed to the sights and sounds so that one day she could take up the trade herself, as was tradition in her home.

She was well on her way to starting her additional learning in the workshop, so ready to embrace her lineage- but fate had other plans. See even with someone who can manipulate steam around steam engines are still dangerous. And sadly Ida was too close when one malfunctioned and ended up exploding. The doctors tried everything they could, but the arm couldn't be saved. Through a combination of engineering and medical expertise, she was however able to be fitted for a new steam-powered prosthetic. The fine motor skills still weren't as good as her original hand, but still better than a clunky traditional replacement.

And it got her thinking- why should only the rich be able to get good prosthetics? Which had her line of engineering studies start to veer down a far different path than that of her parents before her. And when she ended up being one of the Chosen? Well, that just put even more fuel in her metaphorical fire. After all the Chosen were meant to help better the world.
