Seriously though, looking for a partner who can handle a guy who is old enough to have paid off his own student loans. And when I say "guy", I mean when we only had two choices. In regard, I am looking for a gal writer.

As a fellow old guy, what a convoluted way to say you're male and want to write with females. That said, I can't really fault the approach. You're certainly displaying your plumage which is the point of an introduction thread.
