Personality: Kat is something of an enigma. She's passionate, flirty, driven, inspired, motivating, and clever. She's also distant, not letting people get too close to her. Her passion and her perfectionistic qualities can blossom into anger and she's territorial. Her areas are hers to control and she doesn't like to be challenged.

History: Kat Kline wasn't always the outspoken, tattooed, queer head pastry chef/owner of Killer Kakes, a Hollywood fixture. Born in New York to orthodox jew parents, Katherine had a very conservative and strict upbringing. She learned quickly that people weren't comfortable with her little... difference, so she learned to conceal it, hide who she was. It wasn't until she got to college that she began break out of her shell and experiment a little. While she was studying finance, she began taking art classes and found she had a genuine passion for creation and design. At a dorm movie night, she was introduced to Horror, through classic slasher and monster flicks. She began to lean into the darkness, branching out to theater and dance.

Horrified by how his daughter was changing, her father tried to use money to control her, but she broke away from him, taking out student loans and modeling on the side to pay the bills. She dropped out of college and entered culinary school, where her growing collection of tattoos and macabre sense of humor fit in. While she enjoyed cooking, Pastry... pastry is what really spoke to her soul. A weird alchemy of science and art that was so arcane, so unusual, so risky, but so rewarding when it came together. Pastry is where she found her calling.

Now, Kat is a celebrity chef on par with Duff or Bourdain. She not only has her own cooking show, but appears on others, bringing her own unique vision of bloody deliciousness with her. She's not a chef who does a lot of screaming like a Ramsey, but the short spitfire of a chef brooks no guff, and her team is a handpicked crew of felons who've served their time and are getting a second chance at life through baking.

Tidbits: Kat is a fitness /nut/. She works out at least 90 minutes a day just to maintain her figure when she works with pastry all day.
