In the kingdom of Hestia, there is a legend about the platinum dragons who wield divine celestial powers… and the terrible wrong done to them… and the magical pact made between humans and the royal line of the platinum dragons to right that wrong.The legend says that long, long ago, a human king by the name of Byron wished so greatly to become immortal that he bought into a tale about drinking the yolk of platinum dragon eggs… he ordered his best soldiers to go into the silver mountains, the highest point of Hestia where the platinum dragons lived… they duped the friendly dragons into believing they were visitors seeking to learn wisdom from the ancient beings and the dragons permitted them to occupy guest rooms in the platinum palace where the royal platinum dragons lived while in their humanoid forms…
The deceitful humans stole all but one of the platinum king and queen’s eggs… the final egg was spared thanks to guards approaching the royal hatchery on patrol…
When King Byron drank the yolks of the stolen platinum dragon eggs, he did in fact become immortal… thing is, immortal doesn’t mean unkillable…
The power imbued into the human king drove his weak mind mad and he wound up throwing himself off the castle’s highest tower… ending the mad king…
When the king’s son, the noble and benevolent Alistair, was crowned… the platinum dragons descended from their mountain and demanded compensation for the crime committed by mad King Byron… to which Alistair agreed.
The platinum dragons wove a spell that would reveal a human maiden able to bond and procreate with a dragon… she would bear a birthmark upon her in resembling a platinum flame… and she would bound by duty to honor the pact between humans and platinum dragons to enter into a mating bond with the dragon bearing a matching birthmark…
It has been over 400 years since the events of the legend supposedly took place, though many of the people now regard it as nothing more than a fable told to children to discourage arrogance and stealing.
A young woman named Daisy working on her aunt and uncle’s dairy farm has no idea what is about to happen in her life… or what the small platinum flame birthmark above her right clavicle means…
She is about to find out though when the prince of the platinum dragons descends the silver mountain, seeking the matching birthmark to his own… one that a platinum dragon shaman has assured him currently exists in the kingdom… he will find her and take her back to the mountain with him and make her his mate, then together, they will replenish the royal numbers taken when his brothers and sisters were stolen from the hatchery all those many years ago…
