Hello all, I'm Starseeker, although you're free to refer to me as Star! I do apologize for a general lack of polish and the lovely graphics and design so many of you are adept at intertwining with your requests, this is my first, and as such there will be some rough edges.
To tell you a little bit about me, I've been roleplaying for near a decade, and find it to be one of the most enjoyable outlets for my passion for writing there is. It combines two of my favorite things in the world, writing stories and reading them, and provides the opportunity to meet and collaborate with so many interesting people. I'd generally consider myself highly literate, and I am only interested in roleplay in the third person. I am not too much of a stickler for reply length, and am fairly inconsistent myself. In posts introducing a scene, or relating backstory, I can go on for paragraphs, but in dialogue heavy scenes, I can find that a bit onerous, especially if I'm going on at length and not providing my partner's character a chance to interject. As for replies, you can expect one at least once per week, although in all likelihood I will generally respond daily, if not multiple times per day. I will be sure to let you know if something is preventing this, I enjoy ooc chatter. If it's all the same to you, I'd only like to rp in pms. I am truly invested in the stories I create, and I would prefer to make ones my partners can be invested in as well. I love building worlds and plots together, and am always up for hearing out ideas, I won't kinkshame, and just in general, I like to do everything I can to make partners feel as comfortable and satisfied as I can, within my own personal bounds! As for the nitty gritty of kinks and limits, I'd generally prefer to discuss them in dms or as they come up, but hard limits are anything that breaks the site rules. I prefer a mix of 70/30 plot to smut, and am a far greater fan of slower burns, genuine chemistry, and earned romance rather than immediate canoodling. If all of this suits you (and you don't mind the fact that I just said "canoodling") I think we'll be a good match.
I have a few loose ideas listed below, and since they're more general concepts than anything, you are more than welcome to take any of the suggestions that interest you at face value and run with something I've suggested, or come to me with your own ideas inspired by what I've described. I do also want to invite you to simply tell me a general category or theme that catches your eye, even if you don't have any ideas to start, and I'd be delighted to try and build something from the ground up with you! Lastly, if none of the ideas below are particularly fetching to you, but you still enjoy my general style or have interest in roleplay, reach out to me with any other ideas/interest, I promise I won't bite! What follows is not an exclusive list of what I'm looking for or interested in, simply a description of what's on my mind at the moment.
Firstly, I'm interested in playing out a scenario that's a role reversal of the archetypal tale of Hades and Persephone, with my character being a young, lovely man who catches the eye of a dark and powerful woman, who decides he has to be hers. I'm not overly fussed on the specifics, and am open to most variants of the idea; perhaps it's directly analogous, your character is a powerful goddess, perhaps a ruler of the underworld, taken with a handsome, carefree and lively nature spirit, and decides she must take him. Perhaps something more akin to Beauty and the Beast would suit you, and you could play a tyrannical lord, or a local monster. In one way or another, my character comes to be yours, perhaps by a deal of his own making, or perhaps by her demand, and he comes to move her heart, despite her hard exterior.
Another pairing I'm interested in is a more general one, but I'm looking to play a heroic or good natured male character paired with a dark or powerful female one in a more broad sense. Perhaps a female gang leader and a young, optimistic detective, a dark witch and a knight sent to defeat her realizing they have a common goal, or a paladin of light, and a powerful deity bent on corrupting him. Alternatively, perhaps your character is very powerful and yet wounded and on the run, a tyrannical queen suffering a coup, taken in by a kindhearted subject. Or a lighter version of this, perhaps you play a powerful knight who finds herself being won over by a simple craftsman or farmer, despite having considered herself hardened to such things long ago. Once again, this is rather loose, and I'd love to hear any interpretations of these ideas you have!
Lastly I'm craving something supernatural, and this is probably the vaguest of my ideas, which is saying a lot, but I'm looking to play a human dragged into the world of the supernatural. Most likely in a modern(ish) setting, perhaps your character is a veteran hunter of monsters, sort of like supernatural, or he wakes up handcuffed to a vampire. Perhaps he's returning to a small town he was born in, having fled from the unnatural occurrences. I am sorry again for the vagueness of this one, but I hope it at least provides plenty of wiggle room for our creativity to come together and make something wonderful!
