Your new coworker is...odd. At least, that's the polite word that the others use when discussing Aiden. He's a young guy, 21 or 22 years old, and he doesn't really spend much time interacting with them. The gangly blonde man is a hard worker, speaks with a heavy Southern accent, and works incredibly hard. Yet...nobody really knows anything about him.
The truth is, Aiden is a man on a mission. His lover, Sketch, had been deployed nearly a year ago. They wrote each other multiple times every single week, without fail. But one week, no letters came. Perhaps the regiment had been engaged in combat and Sketch didn't have time to write? The excuse wore thin after the second week without contact, and Aiden's heart had settled deep into his gut. In his mind, the only option was to earn enough money to fly out and find his lover himself.
And that's how the quiet and mild-mannered country bumpkin had ended up employed at Alert Care Emergency Response Systems. You have been assigned as his trainer and it is your job to ensure he learns the ropes of dispatch. This gives you plenty of time to get to know this gentle soul and find out a little about his past. The pair of you may or may not hit it off rather quickly. Either way, little by little you learn his story, only putting all the pieces together when you accidentally see a letter left open on Aiden's desk. "Killed in action" is as far as you get before looking away.
Whether your character tells Aiden he saw the letter or not is up to you, but from here the plot becomes Aiden and YC helping each other through their individual losses or life challenges. Slowly but surely they learn to trust each other and learn that love can be found again after profound loss. We can start either at the very beginning of Aiden working there, or a couple weeks in where the two characters know each other a little. Totally up to you.

Figured I'd put the fun stuff up top in case you're more interested in that than my rambling intro. I'll try to keep it short, and you can feel free to ask me more in DMs. I only have a few rules:
1. Please write with your very best grammar. I will do the same.
2. Please write at least 2-3 paragraphs. I will do the same. Probably more, but I tend to mirror my partners.
3. I'm much more interested in story than smut, so if you only want to roleplay Aiden smashing with your character, this probably isn't your plot.
