Buffalo Jump Into A New RP!

Hey all- My name on here is BuffaloJump, but feel free to just call me Jump (I would say call me BJ, but I've realized too late how unfortunate my initials are. RIP) I've been roleplying now for about 9 years on various sites. I started on more chat-based sites, as I'm sure a lot of people have, but I moved on to more literary paragraph style RPs a while back. I prefer writing longer para RPs that are plot and detail rich. I enjoy historical RPs, RPs that deal with difficult or obscure topics that might not be otherwise explored, and RPs that include LGBT characters (especially in historical settings). Some of my favorite topics/categories are: cowboy/Old West shit, antiquity, American Civil War (pre and post), turn of the century, fantasy of most kinds, and scifi of most kinds. It's been a few months since I've written anything fun, so I'm hoping to hop right in with a partner or two and create something really interesting and intense.

IRL I'm a published historian. My work has mostly focused on the American West and American religion- All academic, unfortunately, so I haven't been able to scratch my creative-writing-itch for some time. If you'd like to talk history, hit me up. Due to my job my response times can be slow, but I always aim to write RP responses that are juicy and move the plot along.

Other than writing, I like to hike, go bouldering, and spend time with my dog.
