The World
Setting: Victorian Era
Place: London City
Vampires and humans have never gotten along. One is predator, the other is prey. They live separate and for good reason. Vampires will hunt and eat humans, and humans will hunt and kill vampires. It is clear that the vampires have the advantage but both live in fear of one another. This is a time when fire and brimstone preachers led the people, government corruption was rampant, and fear of the supernatural reigned supreme.
Vampires typically live in covens outside of London. Huge castles in the forest surrounded by tall gates are where most of these vampires make their homes. They are like family to those in their coven, but to other vampires they are often competitive, defensive, and sometimes violent.
Humans live in the city, just like normal people. Relationships with vampires are tense, and it is law that if a vampire is captured they are sentenced to death. Any humans found associating with vampires often receives the same fate. Vampire hunting is a big business, and young children are often trained in basic vampire-hunting.
In other words, things are very tense. But in the midst of all this, a new coven is forming.

The Roleplay
One of the very prominent and powerful vampires of the land has fallen deathly ill after being shot by a lethal amount of silver. His only son, and heir, must be the one to carry on the bloodline, since the mother is long gone. The current members of the coven fear what this news might mean, and are putting a lot of pressure on the heir to find a fledgling soon and take up his father's position, afraid that the coven will fall susceptible to an attack if other covens catch word that there is no leader.
That is where Max Finch comes in. That is the character I will be playing (as well as others if more roles need to be filled). He's a young man aspiring to be a politician. He's very good at what he does and when opposing lawmen see his potential they feel threatened. A scandal takes place and Max is kidnapped, beaten and left to die out in the woods. However, this also happens to be on the exact path which the heir coincidentally was talking a stroll. Under extreme pressure to find a fledgling and desperation, Max is turned.
This begins a new coven, and a new era for vampires. But the question remains, can the bridges between vampires and humans ever be gaped?

The Lore
Specific lore is in place for this universe, so this is what in entails:
- Sunlight is not deadly to vampires. They are more prone to burning under sunlight, and are sensitive to heat but it is not lethal.
- Vampires are Nocturnal. They sleep all day and hunt from evening to dawn. Night time not only grants them secrecy, but they see better under the moonlight as well.
- Vampires are more powerful under the full moon.
- Werewolves are not real.
- Silver is lethal to vampires. Holy Water causes burning, and wooden crosses or steaks are painful but not necessarily deadly.
- Vampires can't see their reflections in mirrors, because most mirrors in this time period are backed with a layer of reflective silver. Vampires can see their reflection in non-silver mirrors and anything else reflective, like water.
- This is Historical-ish. What I mean by that is that it feels historical but you don't have to read a History book to know what's going on, there are going to be a lot of inaccuracies. That being said,
- LGBT+ characters are welcome in this roleplay and will not be under any flack in rp for being such.
- Racism and Sexism do not exist in this universe and will not be part of the roleplay.
- Vampires need to drink a significant amount of blood but can do so without killing or turning the human they kill from as long as they do it in moderation.
- Vampires do not change into bats.
- Vampires do sleep in coffins. It's traditional, as well as coffins block out all sunlight and are very good protectors incase someone tried to come after you in your sleep.
- Vampires have powers. These include
- Superhuman strength
- Superhuman speed
- Vitality (having a lot of endurance)
- Flight
- Healing (self) Vampires heal faster with blood consumption
Each Vampire has their own special power as well that is different for each person. Older vampires have more powers than other vampires. Some of these special powers include;
- Hypnotism
- Sensing Truth
- Healing (others)
- Premonition
- Telepathy
Those are only some examples, so if you would like a different ability for your character please just ask if it's acceptable first.
