Things About Me
  • New to this site but I have a wealth of writing examples to offer from other sites. Ask in PMs and I can link you some external threads or small excerpts.
  • I try to put a lot of love into the worlds and characters I create. But the beauty of roleplay is that it's collaborative! I am open to helping my partner gather resources and research, but expect to be met halfway.
  • I typically write between 4-8 paragraphs depending on the complexity of the scene and level of interaction present, sometimes more. I try to get in a reply within a few days, though generally I'm quite fast.
  • I enjoy a lot of communication. Not only do I like to get to know the person I'm writing with, be friendly, but it's good for the planning process. I only communicate here and through Discord, the name of which will be given to my partner if the initial meeting of minds goes well.
  • I don't really use face claims, primarily going off of character biographies and descriptions. I also do art, and often supplement our writing with various drawn references or doodles. While I may not do face claims, I'm open to offering visual examples for certain ideas through the use of art and photography.
  • I will not roleplay in PMs, I only use threads and wish for my writing to be public.
  • I don't really plan for my characters to be "tops or bottoms" from the get-go and generally end up being even across my romantic plots for what my character might take to. It more so depends on the social setting, their chemistry with the other character, so on.
  • I don't typically write smut or porn, and am fine with no sex scenes in general. I shut down stories that seem like a means to a sloppy end and don't tolerate rushing chemistry for the sake of those sex scenes. That being said, those scenes are another tool in my tool box and are only written with a purpose (to further character development, add conflict, etc) and detail may vary depending on necessity.
  • I will NOT romanticize rape in terms of non-con scenes. I will not write stories or characters that rationalize or justify the action. I will write it as an act of violence and wish for our characters to react accordingly. This does not apply to characters of low morality that have little regard for the act itself. You get it.
Things About You
  • I don't rush replies and value quality over quantity. Small spelling or grammatical mistakes don't bother me as long as the sentence is coherent.
  • I'm not a fan of my writing partner inserting their own fetishes or preferences into the roleplay. I prefer you create characters with their own feelings, ideas and motivations.
  • While I'm highly selective I don't want writing partners who are timid or afraid to speak up. Request changes, suggest alternatives, if you like an idea then tell me, if you don't then out with it. I'm not impervious to bad decisions and don't mind making changes to my ideas when presented with superior alternatives. Roleplay is collaborative and the one thing that turns me off more than anything is an echo chamber.
  • I'm not fond of colored text. I use a dark theme and prefer text to be left uncolored so I can actually read it. I'm also not a fan of elaborate fonts, please make your text easy to read. No excuses. (Poor eyesight.)
Original Settings I Enjoy
  • American History
    • Colonial America, Civil War era America and the American Frontier are among my most craved and favorite themes for settings in historical fiction. 1600s-1800s are a sweet spot, though I sometimes dabble in Noir as well.
  • Oceanic/Deep Sea
  • Low Fantasy
  • Desert Cultures
  • Renaissance Italy
  • East Asian Cultures (especially Yokai folklore)
  • Horror
  • Science Fiction & Supernatural
    • My take on science fiction is more akin to the works of Jules Verne, and my supernatural more Lovecraftian, Eldritch in nature. I don't write for angels, demons, or Mass Effect/Star Wars-esque alien adventures. I am open to all of the above, gods included, being implemented as "old ones" however, with their titles as the ethereal of omnipotent solely from the frame of reference of mortals who cannot comprehend them. I will not play AS or WITH these kinds of creatures. I like to stick to humans, or intelligent beasts.
Official Settings I Enjoy
  • Bioshock (Rapture)
  • D&D
  • Vampire the Masquerade (and less so, Requiem)
  • Monster Hunter
    • MHFU, MH3U, MH4U, MHG, MHW
  • Bloodborne
  • The Elder Scrolls (VERY selective)
Types of Characters/Archetypes I Enjoy
  • Tall, Willowy Males
  • Rough/Tough Leaders, Grizzled Males
  • Fighters, from Military Men to Barbarians
  • Hotheads/Anarchists
  • Noble, cool-headed pacifists
  • Elves/Orcs of All Shapes or Sizes
  • Older Characters (30s-50s strongly preferred)
  • Beasts and Monsters
    • I love all monsters, but would heavily prefer they be kept as monstrous or animalistic as the setting permits. I don't like humans with cat ears or dog tails, or a few scales scattered on them. I like double joined legs and claws and paws and naga bodies, big minotaurs and the list goes on. The more realistic or imaginative the better (I.E. mottled, thick skin for riverbed creatures, thick coats for mountain traversal, hooved humanoids with hoof care regiments. I love it when beasts are expanded upon or fit their setting, or have an evolutionary edge.)
    • All of my creatures are sentient, and capable of consent. I also do not do A/B/O, though some semblance of a social hierarchy may be present in some characters.
Settings, Characters and Themes I Don't Do/Am Not Familiar With
  • New Bioware franchises such as Mass Effect or Dragon Age
  • The Witcher
  • Game of Thrones
  • Romanticized torture, mutilation and rape
  • Scat play
  • Really squishy, wimpy bottoms and submissive archetypes
    • Control freak tops are just as bad if not worse, but just less common. I do enjoy playing "tops" most of the time and find it easier to drive the plot forward with them, but I much prefer both parties to be on even ground in some regards. And no, sassy "attitude" bottoms don't count.
  • Awfully young characters, safe range to be in for me personally is 30s-50s. I just prefer that characters have enough years on them to have an array of experiences.

Looking For
  • Classic Fantasy, added a plot below. Something strongly based in European history and if I can indulge, papal overtones. The first plot listed below is of most importance to me at the moment.
  • Old timey goodness, primarily something colonial. I'm more than game for some early American beastman mythos as well, but am open to other ideas. The setting interests me the most and it'd definitely be fun to mess around with that early, psuedo-European flair and wartime strife.
  • Something Bloodborne related, I have a big fondness for the pre-game events and the lore in general. I don't have a plot or idea list set up for this one but would love some unique discussion with someone as interested.
  • Slow burn
  • Simple characters with simple lives being thrust into strange scenarios.
Settings/Universes (* = interest)
  • D&D, or Homebrew ***
  • Bloodborne**
  • Original fantasy verse
  • Eras/Locales to use as inspiration:
    • Italian Renaissance ***
    • Western*
    • East Asia
    • Colonial America ****
    • Mediterranean cities, especially the Ottomons
    • Classic medieval fantasy ****
    • Noire
    • Feel free to suggest anything that isn't listed here, I'm open to new ideas!
Plot Starters & Ideas
  • The short and sweet of it: Knight/Noble dynamic. Looking to create a knight and explore the realm of court politics, religion, etc. Low fantasy as the title serves. I have a wide variety of inspirations for a more old school European-style fantasy, including Dark Souls/Dragon's Dogma (or by extension, Berserk), the early Baldur's Gate titles, real world history (especially the Italian Renaissance). So while this is an original universe roleplay that I hope we'll have fun creating, a writer who can connect with my muse will have me especially excited.
  • Looking for something more romantic in tone, even if chaste in nature or platonic. If anything, a more clean relationship would be a much more unique addition to my roster of current roleplays.
  • The first set of ideas revolves around a knight keeping loyal to his lord after many years residing within his court. Obstacles could include deposition, the lord could have been denounced, his fiance/future marriage revoked, denied property/land, exiled from regional council, etc. Anything that resonates. The reasons for which can be however complicated, though the angle of unjust rule appeals to me greatly. He can be accompanied by any number of subjects or even a small army depending on his rank, though I'd definitely love for him and his knight to take the forefront.
  • I would love the added element of religion, even turning my knight into a sort of paladin, should his lord be of holy stature. I also feel it would greatly compliment the two should their relationship be chaste (this does not mean that either are unallowed to have sex within the story/background, or that they are virgins, I'm only talking about their specific relationship). Piety would also compliment the standing loyalty well, and give my knight added motivation to stay true to his lord.
  • As the rest of my RT implies I'm not looking for squishy submissive types or passive victims. In fact an older character would likely fit better, given their years would allow them greater opportunity to gain respect and rise through the ranks. I would be most comfortable if a character were at least in their thirties.
  • Looking for these main characters to be, while not 100% morally just, well within the law at least for a greater first portion of the roleplay. This still means they can do wrong when their actions are analyzed outside the standards of their world (lax laws or having committed terrible acts justified by their faith, as long as it fits their ambition to keep in good grace with their society).
  • A traveler enters the city of Baldur's Gate searching for a person, place, name, etc, and flocks to the slums and it's undercarriage in search of information. Perhaps he's a cleric or paladin who finds it a necessary sacrifice to venture into the worst the city has to offer? Or a noble knight or mage who sees nothing but peasantry of filth. Or more charismatic or chaotic travelers who revel in it. My writing partner could play as a lot of things, there are few boundaries in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
  • I myself want to take a crack at a bard. Someone who represents a lot of the eccentricity of the darkest corners of Baldur's Gate. An untrustworthy guide of sorts. I'd love to turn this idea into a sort of road trip adventure, rife with conflict and arguments and a lot of bumps in the road. But this is up for discussion.
  • OR, you could play one of the more evil or neutral archetypes, seeking information brokers, criminals, and other pawns to help in the pursuit of their own cause. If I stick to the idea of a neutral bard/rogue the plot can go either way.
  • The ideas for the character I had in mind for this plot, though not set 100% in stone, is a tall, twiggy genasi. Someone with odd features and not necessarily pretty or full figured. I'm a big fan of older or unseemly characters and usually stray from those who look like models, though if you're wanting to play a thing of beauty it could add interesting visual contrast and especially fit a holy paladin or ideal knight should you choose one.
  • And of course with a road trip styled plot/dynamic, these two can travel all around Faerûn.
  • This is a plot I've sort of converted into an original setting, though could just as easily be based off the lore of Bloodborne, for those interested. Otherwise hopefully the changes made make it accessible enough to original fiction writers.
  • A amalgamation of various early American wolfman myths would shape a more conventional werewolf for those less fond of permanent monsters. Like above, something 1700s-1800s, with a gothic twist.
  • Travels of two hunters from different walks of life through some beastly, snowy North American hellscape. A lot of emphasis on survival and perhaps even scientific pursuit. Butcher doctors and bloody physicians are welcome. Pious lads are welcome too, perhaps taking to the hunt as a way to purge monsters. There's a wealth of reasons.
  • Despite using werewolves as the main takeaway, I wouldn't like to dabble in anything... shapeshifting, or supernatural. I like to see beasthood as an irreversible process, where individuals can be seen in it's various stages. Men who walk with hair, teeth and claws, with bodies that will warp under pressure. A stress induced illness that requires more restraint from it's host, and much dire consequences. One of the hunters could contract this ailment and a sort of central drama could revolve around that, perhaps?
  • For now this is just a place to dump various ideas and musings for my colonial themed wartime cravings.
  • Of course I don't necessarily want something historical in a real world sense, but more so based off real world history. I'd like to pull inspiration from either/both the American revolutionary war & civil war, and the French revolution. Though if someone is a real nut about this era and has any other suggestions I'd be keen on learning more and seeing this idea expanded on.
  • Opposed to my fantasy knight shenanigans and some stories I have going on right now I'd like to use a smaller and less bombastic character for this. My initial idea was a man who starts off naive or idealistic, something of the optimistic sort but hardens over time, whether by battle or whatever other events take place, personal or otherwise. Having both central characters react to their surroundings to such an extreme and have that be the focus could be interesting, and definitely something suited for a more long term story. However my writing partner choosing a more leveled character whose set in their ways could make for great contrast.
  • I'm fully willing to keep the setting more realistic but I'm still open to implementing ideas from Famine or the sort. Beast and the like could replace human opposition or create extra conflict. Though I'm a bit wary of distracting too much from the obstacles I had in mind. I'd love for this one to be more about the characters and politics than medical jargon or cryptids.
  • Fellow soldiers (or the plot's equivalent, if this integrates a lot of Famine then hunters) would be my first idea. Multiple characters would likely be present, even if not as prominent.
  • Potential tags/themes, minor or otherwise: war, disease, colonialism, survival, monsters, moral ambiguity, sexuality, homoeroticism, adultry, solitude, horror, eldritch, military/militia, (more to be added in time, none of these are set in stone and again, just a place to dump my ideas for the time being)
  • Note first, This might seem like a LOT. And in some ways it is, though I can source nearly everything here and all can be learned in a relatively short time through a dive into sites like UESP or Imperial Library. I can provide the reading material and help take notes for research for those less experienced but willing. It's a fun setting, but it's all the nitty gritty details that inspire me most and what I feel sets it apart from say, DnD.
  • I've been wanting to dabble in a 4E setting, exploring both Mara worship and the effects of the Thalmor rising, primarily the Altmer, though they have their foot stuck in the door of other nations as well (I'll go into more detail on this below). What has humble beginnings as an aspiring benevolence of Mara becomes a safe haven for the estranged and refugees. Boundless tolerance and love that sees through borders, these are important to those of her faith.
  • This can take place in a number of locations, Skyrim perhaps being the most familiar to the widest range of writers for the setting. Hammerfell is also an interesting location, since it houses a lot of Altmer refugees.
  • For reference (collected from in game books and character dialogue, the Thalmor have; A, performed genocides in Iliac Bay and Valenwood. B, attacked and killed Altmer refugees in Hammerfell which then led to it's secession from The Empire. C, persecuted Thalmor worshipers. Common targets tend to be Dominion refugees or mixed mer (see: Rising Threat — Lathenil of Sunhold)
  • I'd mostly just love to play a mage or battlemage type, a scholarly sort and owning many radical theories. Said theories largely reference the more metaphysical side of The Elder Scrolls such as the godhead, CHIM, kalpas and creation of Mundus. I don't mean to say he would be aware of these concepts past their significance in texts, though the outlook on life he may have would be more heavily swayed by events that we as readers may attribute to those concepts. I.E. Mara's children live in a world in which the evil are rewarded for their deeds. I also see this as a good opportunity to mirror the sort of budding madness seen in many scholar mages.
    • TLDR: A scholarly battlemage rendered somewhat deranged in his years, however subtle. A lot of the reference material I use can be explained in person, he's not likely to directly reference a lot of it by name since the details are beyond everyone but a select few (ascended gods, moth priests, Mankar Cameron, etc). Just my lore inspirations.
  • A wide variety of characters interacting with him is possible, I don't mind the race/species, mixed individuals are a greater commodity for characters from places like Cyrodiil where there's more ethnic variety, and still definitely possible everywhere else. Recovering thieves and murderers, Thalmor refugees and escaped convicts. They don't necessarily have to be in the same pantheon as Mara's, outliers looking to recover or in need of aide do just fine without.
  • Other various details I might teeter on are the Red Year, dissolution of the Mages Guild, ethics of the Imperial Cult, to name a few. More can be added and discussed in planning. Don't be afraid to add your own cultural spin on things! Altmer history and culture are my strong suit, but I'm admittedly daft in areas like Khajiit lore, even though they make up a great portion of the Aldmeri Dominion(s). I could also use a bit of reading on Redguards should they be my partner's pick, even more so if Hammerfell is the location.
