Scarlett Arkwright, once nicknamed "Letti" by Jack Sparrow
Pirates of the Caribbean: Heart of Atlantis
Once known as the Red Reaper, Captain of the one thousand Crimson Fleet, Scarlett befell to a knife in her back from her first mate in an act of mutiny.
Before her untimely death at the age of forty, Scarlett crossed paths with the young Jack Sparrow in her youth when she was a nameless slave. He rescued her and the two were once thick as thieves as young children. Learning the art of stealing and mischief to survive as two children without much in the way of parental guidance. Scarlett took on carpentry, gaining the name Scarlett for her bright red hair and Arkwright for her treasure chest crafting, and once crafted Jack Sparrow a puzzle treasure box before they eventually spilt apart by their conflicting world views before eventually going on to their own lives. Scarlett's merciless and cruel torture to those who were better of than her was enough to hurt Jack, but when she once kidnapped and almost killed the young child of an aristocrat he finally drew the line and walked away. The last time they spoke they were on very bitter terms.
Scarlett fell under the guidance of the pirate Henry Morgan and was taught under his crew, eventually climbing up from Swab, to part of the inner command circle. She learned to fight and survive thanks to Captain Morgan before he eventual disappearance, never to be seen again. Scarlett took his place as Captain despite lacking support from the crew.
She guided them for ten years and crafted the famous Ruby Dragon, the toughest vessel of the seven seas, decorated in red and flying her pirate flags. The Red Reaper claimed her title after pillaging and killing Emperor Shui Yuè Ti-Wang ("The Talon" Emperor) and plundering him of his vast treasure after destroying his impregnable fortress.
She made a mark for herself and quite a few enemies before she was murdered, but to this day people fear the sight of red dawned upon her half sunken ship which now stands as a charred corpse off the coast of Port Royal, finally destroyed due to a surprise attack by The Flying Dutchman not long after Scarlett's passing.

The Bard of Romance (aka will flirt openly with pretty much everyone)
Derora, a dark haired and dark eyed with slight dark circles and creamy olive tanned skinned woman, was born of a barmaid and a heartbroken sarcastic "sailor" after a drunken night, according to her mother. (Born one and a half years after at World's End, making her 20 in Dead Man Tell No Tales. Completely "coincidentally" only 10 months after Henry was born.) Unfortunately, her mother passed in Derora's youth, leaving her and her half-brother, Alton, to fend for themselves. Her older brother had to step up to raise the young Derora and worked odd jobs, running as the servant of aristocrats and delivery boy. Once Derora was old enough she did all that she could to help her brother out. They survived many harsh winters together despite the many hardships they faced. After many years suffering under classism and disgrace as orphans, Alton aimed to make a better life for the both of them and joined the Royal Navy as a soldier to earn enough coin to buy his sister's and his own freedom.
Unfortunately, not long after Alton joined under the kingdom's army, the ship was attacked by Captain Armando Salazar's ship and Alton was lost to the sea. Upon hearing the news, Derora refused to believe that her brother was dead and was determined to find her brother, no matter what means she had to use.
Derora took all the coin she had and cut her long hair and disguised herself as a man for protection as she hid as a stowaway in traveling merchant ships.
She happened to be upon a trade ship when Barbossa and his mighty crew attacked and raided their supplies for treasure. Despite her attempts to escape from being discovered, she was found by Joshamee Gibbs. When he saw her, to her surprise, he did not kill her but instead cursed lowly, speaking of how his eyes must be deceiving him. He forced her to follow him in tight bonds and brought her to Captain Barbossa, who almost looked more surprised than Gibbs at the uncanny resemblance to Jack Sparrow.
He took the "boy" to his ship and offered Derora her life in exchange for work below the decks, which she gladly took without question. She did not dare ask why they spared her. Since then, she has been restricted to the lower decks and dirty work for the pirates, and has yet to encounter the infamous Jack Sparrow despite his name being mentioned constantly by the crew.
Derora took on the persona, Finch, hiding as a man even while under the care of these new pirates. She happened upon Henry by chance upon Barbossa's ship. His kindness towards to even the low ranks of the crew was enough to initially charm her, but she has never had the courage to really speak to him, telling herself that her brother was more important than a passing fancy.
A German who fled from the tyranny of the Holy Roman Empire's conquest, Hugh survived by taking any job he could. He quickly became a well versed mercenary, using his big and muscular body to take on dirty and illegal jobs to make any coin he could. Despite struggling to learn English, Hugh used his other talents to gain favor among the pirates and lords he ran jobs for.
Hugh eventually built a small fortune which he invested in buying a small sailor ship. He used this to expand his business and ran a smuggling business for quite some time.
Hugh was running a job when he came upon Doctor Nicholas Tobias, clinging to a floating board off the haul of a shipwreck not far off from Kingshead, severely dehydrated. Hugh took the Doctor back to Port Royal to recover, while Doctor Tobias raved madly to any who cared to listen about a treasure map, gaining some very much unwanted attention.
Doctor Nicholas Tobias
Pirates of the Caribbean: Heart of Atlantis
A renowned explorer and artifact collector. This old man has seen many different shores and people. Doctor Tobias was born the son of the well off nobel Tobias family household and always had a fervent obsession with rare and strange oddities.
When he grew up he had the pleasure of sailing alongside Francis Drake, a famous treasure hunter. He worked directly under the Queen in his youth to uncover lost worlds and fell in love with the chase.
He continued to travel even in his old seniority, eventually coming across the lost codex of the Barbarossa brothers on a journey in the Mediterranean Sea. They say the man lost his marbles trying to decode what the Doctor called "Possibly the most invaluable treasure of them all".
It was during his hunt to find traces of the long lost Atlantis when his ship was attacked by the guardian called Leviathan, and Doctor Tobias was left stranded and floating in the sea.
Neoma
[Pirates of the Caribbean: Heart of Atlantis]
A primordial being that is bound in mystery. She has many names over every culture and is known as the Moon Goddess by all. Pirate legends tell a tale of how she was wedded to Poseidon, God of the Ocean. She rules over the Afterlife and once controlled all water, even ones in Limbo, before Poseidon took control over the Moon Realm and claimed the power for himself after binding away her own in the mortal realm. It is known by many that the Moon Goddess once loved a mortal archer named Orion, and Poseidon became jealous and destroyed the land upon which Orion lived, dragging the city and everyone within under the waves. This city is rumored to be Atlantis. Mourning her lost love, Neoma strung together the stars of an Archer in the heavens, a symbol of her eternal love for Orion.
