An Extended Biography:

Birth

Noah's birth was one of tragedy and loss. Noah is the biological son of a mutant named Drake Duponte and a beautiful blonde woman named Ariel, who was married to Drake for 8 years. Together, Drake and Ariel lived as normal people and claimed no affiliation with mutants in order to keep their family safe. Their eldest son, named Chevrolet "Chevy" Duponte was 4 years old when his mother became pregnant with her second son. Before he was born, it had already been decided he would be called Cadillac, "Caddie" for short. Mrs. Duponte had always wanted to name her children after automobiles.

Unfortunately, Drake and his family were not as safe as he had guessed and it seemed Mister Sinister, an old enemy, had tracked down their current location and was coming to confront Drake and settle a score. Not wanting to endanger his loved ones, Drake left their home to meet Mister Sinister in a secluded area where others would not find themselves caught in the cross-fire. Fifteen minutes after Drake left, sevens-months-pregnant Ariel started to have contractions. She could not leave with Chevy to a hospital because the nearest town was over two hours from the safe house they were currently in. Mortified, Chevy watched her mother go into labor and then die from complications shortly after the birth of his baby brother.

The trauma was experiencing his mother's tragic death triggered Chevy's mutant ability: resurrection, or, the ability to raise the dead. Of course, Chevy could not keep his mother alive forever… his powers came at a terrible cost. She could only come back reanimated to do one act at his command or do whatever she was meant to do before she died. For Chevy's mother, she was only alive to do Chevy's bidding and he asked her to take his baby brother somewhere far away, Chevy never wanted to see him again. The corpse of Chevy's mother picked up the crying newborn and carried him for miles until finally arriving at an orphanage in New York City where Noah was left on the doorstep with nothing but the key to his father's Harley motorcycle and a weathered playing card.

Childhood

Growing up in an orphanage with no knowledge of one's parentage was far from the ideal lifestyle, but Noah was an optimist at heart and looked at life as a gift in itself. Noah had trouble controlling his emotions throughout his childhood but seemed eager to learn and willing to learn from his mistakes, so he was a well-liked member of the makeshift family. Noah received his first roommate when he was 8 years old, a young black boy named Jonathan. The two became best friends, an inseparable pair, a dynamic duo and since they both had no living relatives, they foolishly promised each other they would do everything in their power to never get adopted. This pact was made to ensure that they would always live together, always be brothers.

Over the course of the next two years, many children with different cases and extremely different personalities came through the orphanage but Noah was able to form a tight circle of friends who were long-standing occupants in the home. Twins Taylor and Hunter joined at the age of 10 after surviving a car accident that took their parents. While Hunter was quiet and shy he very much wanted to be adopted, Taylor was quick to anger and easily offended, and the last thing on her to-do list was get sent away to live in some stranger's house. Amelia was much older than Noah and Jonathan, who were the same age. Amelia was in the teen programs and so only saw Noah during free times and in the day room, still they formed a strong bond and Noah became dependent on her sage advice.

The last person to join their adoptive family was Andrew, who was a short and skittish Jewish boy with dark hair and deathly pale skin. Andrew had been escorted to the orphanage by a police car, which usually meant the youth was convicted of some kind of crime, but not Andrew. Everyone in the home was shocked to see the scrawny 11-year-old step out of the back of the cop car and be guided by hand to the orphanage. Although there was plenty of guesswork going around, all the kids knew for a fact that Andrew had been placed in the home for his own safety and despite that he didn't seem to feel very safe. In an attempt to make Andrew feel more welcome, Jonathan was moved to a new room and Andrew was placed with Noah, the most cheerful and welcoming occupant of the home.

(TW: Next 2 paragraphs contain reference to sexual abuse)

Although it took several weeks for Andrew to begin speaking freely with Noah, Andrew did in fact learn to trust and care for Noah. Their bond became so strong and intimate that the two began a romantic relationship, kept a secret between the two of them and Jonathan. During one of their long nights filled with hushed whispers and soft laughter, Andrew confided in his roommate and boyfriend the reason he had been brought to the orphanage: Andrew's father had been raping him. Noah felt a series of emotions including sorrow, anger, and fear… but did all he could to console and comfort Andrew. Despite Andrew's disdain for touching other people, he worked hard to show Noah affection in discreet ways so as not to be separated by the staff members at the orphanage.

Having been in a committed relationship for two years, Noah and Andrew made the decision to have sex for the first time on Noah's 13th birthday. Shortly after the experience, Andrew began to sob and shake violently with misery. Noah tried to comfort him and help him to feel safe but the brunette was plagued by terrible and relentless flashbacks of his abuse. The trauma-induced fit was a serious issue among the staff and Andrew was immediately moved to his own room. To replace him as Noah's roommate was Jonathan. A few days later, Noah and Andrew broke up at Andrew's request under the grounds that he couldn't stop thinking of his father whenever he saw Noah. Noah was heartbroken and devastated, but honored Andrew's wishes and even went out of his way to avoid Andrew so as to make the boy's life easier.

Adolescence

A year after his break-up with Andrew two major changes occurred in Noah's life. The first was his mutant ability of elemental manipulation became active. He found that he could use abilities to manipulate the wind and score baskets he couldn't make before. It was technically cheating but Noah could not yet control his powers and none of the kids had any proof that he was actually cheating. Noah was afraid to tell anyone else, but when the other aspects of his powers like water manipulation and fire manipulation emerged. Together Jonathan and Noah started spending more time together so Noah could practice control over his powers. By the time the summer ended, Noah was able to contain his abilities for the most part, but whenever he became extremely angry he would lose control and start fires and whenever he became sad any water around him thrash and even boil. Every once in a while controlling his abilities would be a unique challenge but he managed to keep his mutant status a secret.

Noah started to show an interest in women at the start of his freshman year and he was always able to find a willing date for school dances and other parties. Noah really began to blossom when high school started, he was well-liked by the upperclassmen and a shockingly good student despite his regular class disruptions. Noah was never particularly athletic but he kept his figure and not many thought him lazy. Noah became increasingly more popular among the women and at one point he had a date with a different girl each week, but towards the end of school he developed romantic feelings for a Spanish sophomore named Donatella. The two began a relationship in the last few months of school that lasted through that Summer and into Noah's sophomore year.

It was during Noah's sophomore year that Andrew transferred to Noah's public school. He had been bouncing between the home, the home of his biological parents, and various other shelters and the two had more than drifted apart as a result. However, Noah was impressed and fearful to learn that Andrew had come out of the closet at the start of high school. Part of him didn't want Andrew to feel alone, like the only gay kid in school, and part of him felt the urge to come out for his own sanity. So he came out as bisexual first to his girlfriend Donatella and then to the rest of his friends. While most didn't mind or care who Noah like there were some who were deeply offended by his sexuality which caused Noah to lose a handful of friends.

A few weeks after his coming out Noah was jumped while walking home from school by himself. Three young men attacked him from behind, one of them had a knife, and they were all slandering him and calling him a faggot. Noah had decided he would not fight back and was taken to the ground and held down, his face pressed hard against the pavement. Only when he felt a sharp blade cutting the side of his head did he react. The wind picked up and fire erupted around the handle of the knife. Startled, the attackers ran off leaving Noah to pick himself up from the traumatic experience and continue walking home in order to receive proper medical treatment.

Standard procedures at the home meant a lawsuit would be filed automatically as well as a meeting had with the principle of Noah's school. Noah knew that if he identified his attackers, which he couldn't anyway, they would tell everyone who'd listen about how Noah had mutant powers in retaliation. the only solid piece of evidence that could have linked Noah's attackers to the crime was the switchblade they had left behind. Noah disposed of the knife a few days after the incident so as not to raise suspicions. Still, the attackers had no goodwill for Noah and spread rumors of his being a mutant regardless of the assault charges being dropped. The story was shrouded in confusion and mystery and made a few local news channels. Noah had his "moment of fame" in which he became the center of media-based controversy… he hated every second of it. To this day he keeps his hair relatively long in order to conceal the reddish pink scar on the side of his head.

Consequently, Noah's minor news article reached Drake and the mutant made his way to the New York City orphanage that had been housing his lost child all this time. Drake had asked for Chevy, whom he had been reunited with just a few months before, to come with him to meet Noah but Chevy claimed he was not ready to face the boy whose life he ruined. So Drake went alone, not entirely sure that Noah was truly his son, but hoping against hope for some kind of a miracle. When Noah was called in for a meeting, he was told it was with a prospective guardian, but Noah refused to see whomever it was- his pact with Jonathan to become Wards of the State still holding strong. However, Mr. Kevin advised him very seriously to take this meeting, so Noah obliged. When Noah found himself face-to-face with a stranger claiming to be his father. Noah was speechless. Drake poked fun at his state of awe which forced Noah to acknowledge the mutant as a person rather than a persona. To say the conversation he had with his acclaimed father was unpleasant would be an understatement. Drake inquired about the key and what it belonged to as a way of proving he was in fact Noah's father, he even stated that the key did not unlock anything but rather started something. Noah was furious for reasons he could not understand, and set the key ablaze in front of his father. Drake's only reaction was a chuckle and the promise of replacing it as he pulled out a new key from his pocket. Even more angered by Drake's passive and lighthearted attitude, Noah stormed out of the room and headed for his own room.

Noah couldn't articulate the feelings exactly, but he was angry and disappointed and felt a sense of impending doom. The extreme and raw emotions set fire to the orphanage, trapping the members of staff, his father, and all of Noah's siblings inside. For a long while, Noah was content to have his body consumed by the flames… but then he heard Jonathan crying out. Tears fell like waterfalls as he forced his way through the orphanage in search of Jonathan. When he finally found him, Jonathan's arm was on fire and his legs were pinned under a wooden book shelf in the day room. Coughing and sputtering without pure oxygen, Noah pushed and pried with all his might at the bookshelf. He and Jonathan both knew Noah wouldn't be able to move the bookshelf and that Jonathan would surely die. So Noah lay down next to him, gripping his brother's hand and waited for death. But Drake was not about to lose his son again. He pulled an unconscious Noah out into the outside world just before the orphanage collapsed. When Noah woke up he was in an ambulance with Drake and on his way to the hospital.

After he learned that his fire is what caused the deaths of his family, Noah accepted Drake's offer to stay with him for a while and learn to control his powers. Like Noah's abilities, Drake's power was difficult to contain and even more difficult utilize. Noah spent almost three months with his father before the man dropped another bomb: he wanted to send Noah away to a special boarding school for mutants and other extraordinary youths. Noah couldn't believe it, he was just starting to feel close to his father and now he was being thrown out… he went out of respect for Drake's wishes but was incredibly angry about it.

Noah spent a total of 5 months at Fury Academy. He discovered all new aspects of his powers like blood manipulation and lightning manipulation, he met plenty of people including Cass (although they would not become friends until later), and he met one other very important person: Echo.

Echo was an Puerto Rican upperclassman with a strong disdain for most of the students at fury Academy, the mutant abilities of healing and shapeshifting, and distrust for people in general. She was anti-social to say the least and Noah thought she was the most intriguing and entertaining person on the planet. The two formed an unlikely friendship that was only strengthened when Noah not-so-accidentally caused a fire that burnt down a section of the girls' dormitories including Echo's room. As a result, Echo moved in with Noah (despite co-ed dorming being against school rules) and together they adopted a puppy (also against school rules) which they housed in secret in their bedroom. Over the course of a few months Noah became aware of a romantic attraction to Echo, but unfortunately Cass has similar feelings towards Echo. In the end Echo began a relationship with Cass and Noah accepted simply being Echo's friend.

Allow Me to Introduce Myself... Mr. Right

My name is Noah. Drake Duponte is my father and I respect him a lot for everything he has taught me. I try not to hold the whole "abandoning me with nothing but a stupid playing card for the first 14 years of my life" thing against him. (That was a joke, I think.) I grew up in New York but I love to visit New Orleans, especially the French Quarter. I love to people watch and see the street attractions. I'm actually rather impulsive and daring, if I do say so myself, but I also do a lot of meditation and tai chi to help keep calm so my powers don't go crazy. The Ace of Hearts is my lucky card and I never go anywhere without it, out of reverence for my dad.

With Great Power Comes Crazy Adventures

Noah is called Element because of his mutant ability to produce and manipulate the four elements: Earth, fire, water, and air. By extension, Noah has discovered an ability to manipulate blood and electricity, although these aspects of his powers prove more dangerous than the others. Fire is the easiest element to produce but the hardest to manipulate. Earth takes the most effort to, but is easy, to manipulate. Air takes almost no effort, but is harder, to control. Water is the hardest to produce and the easiest to manipulate.

The Epic Love Story of Andrew and Noah

Noah was an orphan for the entirety of his childhood and grew up as the roommate of Jonathan, whom he now refers to his brother and best friend. In the orphanage where he grew up, which he often refers to as "the home", he became close with other children including: Jasmine, Amelia, Hunter, Taylor, and Andrew. When Andrew was brought to the home under the suspicious that his father was physically and sexually abusing him; he was made Noah's roommate and the two became very close. Over the course of a year the two became close friends and they had a relationship from ages 12 to 14. They were in love and on Noah's 14th birthday they decided to have sex for the first time. A few weeks after this they broke up because Andrew believed Noah reminded him too much of his father and he couldn't cope. After this relationship and one other long-term relationship, Noah became very interested in sex and still is.

The Brothers' Grimm Tales

Noah's birth was almost 2 months earlier than his due date… Drake had gone out "teh take care of t'ings" which really meant he was going to kill whomever had grown suspicious enough to stalk the Duponte family. Almost ten minutes after Drake left little Chevy alone with his pregnant mother, the contractions started, and after one short hour of labor Noah was born. But the mother of the two young boys had bled out with no medical care during the birthing process… having seen it all, Chevy grew convinced that it was Noah who had killed his mother and devised to kill the infant. It was these dark and raw emotions that triggered Chevy's mutant powers: the ability to raise the dead. His mother's reanimated corpse cradled her newborn son in loving arms. "I don't want him here!" Chevy shouted at the gruesome carbon copy of his mother. "Of course not." It said to him with robotic obedience, and walked the baby with super speed to New York, New York where she left him at an orphanage, and dropped to the ground dead. Noah, who would have been named Cadillac if not taken to the orphanage, has yet to meet his brother and learn the truth of what happened to his mother or the story of how he was brought to the orphanage in New York.

  • Side effects of using this power include: dizziness, confusion, delirium, paranoia, fear, anxiety, etc.
Biography:

Cassius was raised in a large Victorian cottage in the country side. From a young age he showed incredible intelligence and was home-schooled by his mother, Corrine Murdock. At age 10 his mutant powers manifested and Cassius discovered he could teleport as a well as manipulate the thoughts of others. He started out with small actions, teleporting the length of the hallway or to the bottom of the stairs and manipulating the behaviors of birds and rats. The only person who's mind he could not manipulate was his mother's: this made him believe she was the most powerful human being on the planet, and he still believes it.

A few years later, Cassius and his mother were discovered in their secluded mansion-like home and attacked by unknown operatives as well as mutants who had aligned themselves with an organization whose goal was to neutralize potential threats to the public. Cassius followed his mother as they fled across the country from California to New York City only to walk right into a trap to capture the powerful mutant, not Cass... his mom. Shortly after arriving in the city, Cassius watched from inside of a bank as they took his mother away. After seeing his mother kidnapped by an organization known as GLOW he became cynical and overly suspicious of strangers. He learned not to trust any one, especially police officers or members of government organizations.

Driven by rage and anguish at the loss of his mother he manipulated the thoughts of those who took the Scarlet Witch to believe he never existed. He grew cold and harsh, dissociating from his old identity, learning to keep every one at a distance and use them for his own gains. He posed as an agent of GLOW under a false name, Cassidy Savage, in the hopes of collecting information on the whereabouts of his mother so that he could not only rescue her… but get revenge on those who took her from him.

Cass spent 6 months undercover as 'Cassidy Savage'. He hoped to find some clues as to where they were keeping his mother hostage, or if she was still alive at all. But Cass lost himself in cigarettes, cheap beer, and a girl. After his relationship with Echo Sedgewick ended, he had a revelation— he was never there to get a girlfriend, he was there to find the only person he truly cared about. Eventually Cass caught wind of a location where GLOW might have been keeping his mother, so he recklessly dove at the chance. With a handful of allies he'd met along the way, he infiltrated the GLOW base, killing all guards on duty that night only to find an empty cell… he was met with CEO of GLOW himself, the man who told Cassius his mother was dead.

Just when Cass had come to terms with the loss of his mother, for the most part, he began to hear whispers of The Scarlet Witch still living and acting. Now Cass is more determined than ever to find out what happened to his mother, and he will not give up so easily this time. On the eve of his 19th year, Cass began to develop a new power: the ability of Mind Control, which in it's most advanced form will allow him to control and manipulate anybody at his will. The side effects, however, are severe: he experiences intense migraines regularly, is dizzy, confused, and disoriented. He can experience paranoia, irrational fear, and extreme anxiety. But Cass can not change who he is, he can only try to be the best version of himself.

When Matt was 15-years-old, a Freshman in high school, he attended one of his first high school parties. A party to celebrate the victory of Beacon Hills High School swim team, which wasn't very good to start with. When he pulled out of the pool by the coach of the swim team, Coach Lahey, he was told the incident was his fault and threatened into silence. His abuse and trauma couldn't get out lest the school jepordize the athletic careers of its swimmers. Terrified, Matt kept quiet. But his drowning had changed him.

Chevrolet "Chevy" Duponte

My name is Chevy, short for Chevrolet. My mom wanted us to be named after cars. Don't ask me why, she was quirky and eccentric that way. Unlike me. More like my little brother, Cadillac AKA Caddie. Anyways, my power is pretty dark (just like my soul, just like my past): I can raised the dead and will them to do my bidding. There's more to it than that, but I don't have time to get into Advanced Necromancy with someone who doesn't already know their shit. I'm also way into motorcycles, just like my dad. We're getting Caddie into it slowly, but he's still a newbie. Oh yeah, when I was 5 or 6, my mom died in front of me. Then she stood back up and taught me the gravest lesson of all.

King of the Damned

Caddie's birth was almost 2 months earlier than his due date… Drake had gone out "teh take care of t'ings" which really meant he was going to kill whomever had grown suspicious enough to stalk the Duponte family.

I Rule The Dead

Chevy waited and waited, but would realize once his father came home that she would not be coming back. She was still dead. And he had sent her away, too. When Gambit returned to find a bloody mess, a missing child, and his brokenhearted, disturbed first born he knew that it would take years to repair the damage inflicted while he was gone only a few hours. Although Gambit would never admit to this, Chevy believes deeply that his father resents him and blames him for the destruction of their little family. This has driven a wedge between them that, throughout the years, has only grown a crack into a canyon. On the bright side, it is this very strain between the two young men that drives Chevy to be the best and most powerful mutant he can be. Chevy wants complete control in his life, and in order to have complete control, he must practice complete discipline and obtain complete power.

Queen of the Dead

Head Canon: Chevy had a brief but influential love affair with a young girl during his teenage years. She liked his fast motorcycle, he liked her bad attitude, it was your typical match made in hell. They were bad for each other, toxic, even. But they did love each other, they just both were so dysfunctional neither of them could show it in a healthy way. Everybody they knew was eventually against them being together, but nobody could tear them away from each other.
