:christmas:

First After the success we had for Halloween, some people (* cough * Mik * cough *) have requested the same treatment for Christmas.

As such, the current plan is, on a yet-to-be-determined date, a full day stream of Christmas Classics.

To get them out of the way, yes, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation and Die Hard are on the list

If you have any movie suggestions, post them below!!!

Second: The request has also been made for a stream of Hallmark movies and rom-coms (because my staff hates me). Since the Classic stream will likely be long enough on its own, I am splitting this off to be its own stream. If you are interested, please vote in the poll, as it will help me decide whether it will happen and when. And of course, include those movie suggestions as well

Okay! Christmas Classic Stream will be Saturday December 16th, starting sometime after noon (EST)

Here's the final list:

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966) 26 minutes
2. Home Alone (1990) 103 minutes
3. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) 97 minutes
4. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) 75 minutes
5. Elf (2003) 97 minutes
6. A Christmas Story (1983) 93 minutes
7. Klaus (2019) 97 minutes
8. Die Hard (1988) 131 minutes

This stream works out to be around 12 hours long. Feel free to come and go as you please!!!

The Grinch (Jim Carrey, Classic, and Newer)
Home Alone
The Santa Clause (all)
Miracle on 34th Street
Elf
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
The Man Who Invented Christmas
The Christmas Chronicles
The Chronicles of Narnia
Krampus
Rise of the Guardians
Edward Scissorhands

The only way to get me to show up for this is if you play the movie Klaus.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is also cool just for the costume design alone.

I couldn't remember the name of the movie, but there was one I wanted to suggest. She grew up in a small town, but moved to the big city to seek fame and fortune, or perhaps just to "find herself" - and was too busy with her career to find love. But then some tragedy prompts her to come back to her hometown at Christmas after not having been there in years, and there's this handsome guy living there who ...

Well, anyway, I saw you reference Hallmark movies, so maybe it'll be there.

Also, "It's a Wonderful Life" because if you can't be someone's Samwise Gamgee, you can still be their Clarence Odbody.

I grew up on the old stop motion classics, so I'm voting for

The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)
Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (1970)
