Corvin Thorne serves as the crown prince of the mountain kingdom Onyx. The Thorne line consisted of pure-blooded reapers of death. They possess the power of necromancy, building ghostly armies from the fallen, along with a few other powerful abilities of which most only bore one: wielding shadows, lucid visions of the future, and visual tricks. All of which Corvin held. He was set to gain the throne upon an arranged marriage to a neighboring kingdom. He had already practically ruled the entirety of Onyx due to his father's failing health- which he seemed to pay no care to. The reaper commanded his nation with an iron fist, setting a strict hierarchy into place and scattering undead guards amongst the streets. Despite his seemingly intense style of rule, the people respected him. They saw him as a strong leader and greatly attributed the kingdom's military might to Corvin. He had led many a battle, not shying away from the idea of war and destruction. He relished in the idea of control, furthermore in the idea that his control could last centuries given a reapers extended life span. Even then, when his kind died, they didn't really die. It wasn't like the dead couldn't simply be summoned as ghosts or undead shells of their past selves. He hardly participates in most forms of self-indulgence... well, that was a lie. He didn't mind wooing a few men and women here and there (frequently)- but otherwise, he was relatively free of mortal desires. That wasn't to say that Corvin was free of vices, because he certainly wasn't. He was rather aggressive and tended to lash out both physically and verbally. On top of that, he was both overly controlling and a perfectionist. He expected the best from everyone and everything around him, losing his shit if he received anything less. A lovely lad, overall! β

Although Corvin bears a handsome face, he has a frightening air to him. He stands at six feet and two inches, towering over most. He has pitch-black, handsomely messy, hair and a permanently emotionless countenance. In terms of his face; he is clearly young- being around twenty and nine in age. His dark, practically black eyes, seem to see through a person into the deepest depth of their horrible soul. The reaper is usually seen wearing dark clothes, detailed with gold or an otherwise eye-catching embroidery. And, due to the cold environment of Onyx, heavy fur clothes were a must. On his body, Corvin had one tattoo on his muscular back that portrayed a bird in flight accompanied by geometric dark magic symbols. He also had another set of tattoos; a crow on each shoulder- spilling onto a similarly muscular chest. Along with the ink, numerous brutal scars snaked down his body from wars since won. When in public, Corvin donned an intricate, gem covered, crown. The crown was typically attached to a dark veil which covered his features. For this reason, not many had seen his face. Although, he didn't go out of the way to keep it hidden, either.

Corvin was born to Mary and Elijah Thorne. The queen, Mary, had died early on in his life when he was around fifteen. It didn't impact him much as he was rather used to the idea of death... considering his race as a reaper. He grew up in the tall, dark, and spiraling castle towers atop the mountain of Onyx. From an early age, Corvin learned to be independent. He figured that no one would be able to do anything the way he wanted, taking up the responsibility for himself. The prince didn't trouble himself with trivial matters like companionship, booze, or parties. He was utterly and entirely focused on the betterment of his kingdom. Corvin first led a battle at the age of eighteen. With his profound use of battle tactics and pure strength, the army of death completely destroyed their opponent. From that point on, Onyx recognized Corvin as a real leader. His father wasn't a terrible ruler, not in the slightest. But the prince felt him to be soft. Weak. So, when his father fell ill with age and years of constant work, Corvin seized the opportunity to gain control of the kingdom. In a last ditch effort to tether him, Elijah requested the organization of a marriage between he and the prince of a neighboring kingdom in order to lawfully have the throne.
