- Patience is required. I'm old and tired with little motivation
- I do not appreciate ghosting/lack of communication
- Reply length is between 300-1,000 words. Longer replies take longer to write
- Reply time is up to a week

A political marriage wasn't what she envisioned for herself. Her parents forced it upon her, claiming it would be for the good of the kingdom. Oh no, not for her. She refused to be married to some random fool they picked out of a crowd for her. Instead, she packed what she would need most and left.
I know what you're thinking. Princess runs away, finds happiness in a village nearby, and lives happily ever after, correct? Well, you happen to be wrong. She doesn't find happiness in a village far from home.
In fact, the poor princess, running as fast and far as she can, injures herself and loses consciousness. When she awakens a day later, she finds herself housed in a place she didn't recognize with a man tending to her wounds she didn't know.
He was a hermit, closed away from all civilization. In his life, he had done some horrible things, killed innocent people, and considered himself unworthy of life. Yet, he continues to live. By saving this princess, he hopes to fix his reputation.
This story is going to be full of secrets, drama, lies, angst, an adventure of truth, and possibly redemption. I'll be more than happy to change things around and make it more to my partner's taste!

Rumors have it that the castle in the mountains was haunted. No one was ever seen going to or from it, and those who were brave enough to venture up there were never seen again. Most assumed that they died, while others believed that they merely became part of the castle, forever to remain in the mountains.
Enter the main female character. She either inherits the castle or gets lost long enough to stumble upon it. At first, it seems empty, but upon further inspection, it is a home for demons, spirits, and creatures alike. Some choose to stay for safety, and others come and go at their own free will.
The master of the castle is a seemingly rude dragon who seems more lazy and arrogant than anything else. He rules the castle with an iron fist, taking pride in how he runs it. The dragon comes with a secret: he’s unable to leave the castle. He had been cursed to stay there for the rest of time.
His residents don’t agree with the human being there, disagreeing with him allowing her to stay. They don’t trust humans and try to either scare her off or kill her. Humans have all killed their kind over the centuries, and bitterness runs through the last of the remaining creatures. They don’t want her there, but the dragon thinks she might be the bridge that brings peace between the two worlds.
He quickly becomes possessive of her, finding her humanity, as fragile as it is, amusing, and enjoys teasing her while also flirting with her. The longer he stays in the castle, the more he loses himself and slowly starts to become part of the castle itself. At the end of the day, she’ll either be his salvation or be the cause of his demise.
