Who are you, how long have you been writing and what kind of things do you like to write?
Hello, I am a local cryptid who has exited my undisclosed location in search of cooperative writing/RP. I love writing. Flat out. The only kinds of writing I do not terribly enjoy are technical writing and research projects yet I still do both. Weird, I know, but if I do not do them I will get bad grades and this old broad does not get bad grades. My favorite stories to write are immersive stories that make the reader feel deeply familiar with all of the regular characters. I want the language to feel inviting and familiar, like that favorite old hoodie you pull on the first day it finally gets cold enough to need it. Most of all I want to create stories where people can identify with aspects of various characters, be it that they see themselves in them or they know they really do not like x, y, or z in another. Also, I tend to describe things in a clear as mud manner, as seen in this paragraph.
How long do your replies tend to be and what is your writing schedule like?
Patience is key. Early in the semester I may be able to get several replies in during the week, but other times I am going to be slow due to real life demands. My endeavor is always to be communicative with whomever I am writing with. I never want to leave someone feeling forgotten or left behind. I am on EST (GMT-5) and my time of day for writing can vary. Sometimes it's mornings, sometimes it's nights, sometimes it's who the heck knows when.
What is your tolerance level for gore? Violence?
Due to personal reasons I am very, very hesitant to engage in any outright violence or gore. I am just not the target audience for it, and I respect that some people truly enjoy it. I also cannot engage in themes of abuse/manipulation.
Do you write sexual content? If so, what are your kinks? Limits?
I can write and have written spicy content! I tend to lean quite vanilla and do not tend to engage in extremes (size, acts, etc). I am definitely more Bridgerton than 50 Shades (I am so sorry for using that for the analogy, I could not think of anything else and I will be sitting myself in the box of shame shortly)
Do you write any fandoms? (Please bear in mind that any characters under 18 and any high school settings must be aged up)
I do! I have fanfiction from Baldur's Gate 3, both about various Tavs and the characters we meet along the way and as some of the characters you meet in the game. I recently wrote a piece about Withers and flowers, of all blessed things. I am happy to engage in that world with anyone who desires it. I have also written fanfiction for Guild Wars 2 (original characters with fleeting mentions of canon characters), Conan Exiles (all original characters for fantasy RP servers that use that game as well as characters native to its actual setting), Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft. My works for the latter two were all private and thankfully I think consigned to the ashes of the internet.
Do you have any characters you want to write? (Our character forum is here if you want a dedicated thread)
This is where my whole post gets derailed. I do not have plots thought out. I do have characters though, and their worlds, so if you are interested in those stick around for a moment and give me a shot!
Sarai
Sarai bint Jangir al Basram was born a Turanian noblewoman, the only surviving child of a beloved concubine in her father's harem. She was born blind yet her mother poured all she could into giving this child all she could. It led to Sarai being educated in history, music, etiquette and everything she would need to be a charming wife to any who might take her on. Unfortunately, her homeland's culture was not soft towards the disabled. That she survived her birth only spoke to her father's mercy and softness towards her mother, and of course her. When her mother passed away in childbirth as Sarai entered her early teens she was left to fend for herself in one of the most treacherous places for any young person: a noble harem. Mysterious circumstances led to an accident that left Sarai burned and left for dead, thrown into a slaver's cart and taken away from the only home she ever knew. She was found by complete accident and given a chance to start again. Is there a chance she could ever find a new home, a new life?
World: Low to no magic, mild fantasy. Technologically the world is much like the early Persian empires.
Caillean
There have been legends of creatures in the British Isles that are both human and seal, shifting from the form of one to the form of the other as they go in and out of the waves. Wherever seals and men have lived, so have these dream-born fae-like creatures. Caillean's legacy crossed the the globe as it began in the hands of her adoptive great-grandfather, who brought the legacy to his adopted granddaughter in the isles of Hawai'i. Caillean is living, walking evidence of blended legacies and blended traditions who fights to find her place in a world where she has no true berth in one or the other - she must live in a balance between both.
World: Magic lives in this world but doesn't dominate it. It's a thread that weaves through everything yet magically gifted creatures have discretion around those who aren't truly aware of it. She can live in a modern setting or in a more primitive one. She is currently written as living in a more primitive one but the game I used to build her character skills (Changeling: the Dreaming, old World of Darkness) is actually "modern".
There's others but I am woefully lazy and need to make a bio thread for these two with proper samples and images.
Any additional notes you want to add?
I am absolutely terrible at this and I hope all can be forgiven. I have written many a story, I just get weird when it comes to talking about it. Writing sample is included below. This excerpt is written from the perspective of a male character which is not something I feel comfortable writing in RP. This man exhausted me. It's just a show of how I sling words. ♥

Naevius took charge of gathering the spoils for transport, few as they were, while I surveyed the scene. The last thing I expected to see was someone else in the center of the hovels, much less a woman.
This strange creature stood in silence, surrounded by flames and smoke. How we had not seen her I don’t know, probably hiding in one of the buildings until fire chased her out. She wore unusual garb, but all the tribal garb was strange to me. The way her hair was dressed in braids and an adorned wreath sat upon her head like a crown stood out more. Veiled in ash, she looked like a statue from a holy temple or a mausoleum. I watched from the edge of the square as I held a rag to my mouth and nose.
The moment she turned my way a jolt went through me as sure as well thrown spear. Her eyes, pale to the point of seeming colorless, looked through me. Was this what I was warned about? The thought vanished fast. I walked towards her as though I answered a call I could not hear. She didn’t move. She only continued to stare with a boldness not even the soldiers I fought in the field of war had ever quite mustered towards me. She seemed fearless and it bewitched me.
I commanded her to leave, to escape and find safety elsewhere. My men were well trained, but they were still men and for some reason I could not countenance her being thrown to the jackals. Her strident response haunted me.
“Where?!”
It wasn’t shrill. It wasn’t shrieked. Her voice rang out desperately as challenge filled her stance. “These were my people. This was my home. Where. Do I. Go. Now.”
The sight of a Roman tribune in full regalia standing over her did not cow her. That’s saying something as I towered head and shoulders over this slight, strange figure. The way her words rang in my ears though, I could not decide if I wanted to strike her or scare her or…
Or.
Or won out. I said nothing when I crouched and picked her up over my shoulder. [redacted due to content, though nothing spicy occurred here].
