- I'm a 23 year old graduate student with many of many jobs on top of that. I still manage to have a pretty active posting schedule though!
- I consider myself somewhere between literate and advanced/novella. I'm not used to tracking word counts, but I write A LOT. I usually write whatever the story needs.
- I play male and females, but I'm most comfortable in the male role. For pairings, I'm good with platonic, MxF, and MxM in that order. Nothing against FxF, I just have no experience and am not comfortable enough in the female role.
- In fandoms, I only play OC.
- I am a big fan of the collaborative process and love to include my partners in everything. We don't have to be friends, but expect memes, playlists, etc once we get the ball rolling.
What I'm Hunting For/ Guidelines
- Decent grammar: Everyone breaks the rules from time to time. I am perfectly fine with stylistic things as long as I can tell what you're saying.
- Someone who wants to OOC chat. Send me character headcannons, send me that picture that reminded you of the rp. Make a playlist or some moodboards. Rant to me about your day. I've noticed that my most successful rps come with partners willing to chat and work things out. I may seem a little bland at first, but I have anxiety and am naturally cautious, it takes me a minute to warm up to you.
- Someone not set to a certain plot. Going with that last one. I've had tons of successful rps that start off with a set plot but completely derail into something else as we figure our characters/world out.
Original Plot Ideas
- Anything history related TBH. The eras I know the most about are the Renaissance, probably ealy medieval period, American Revolution, French Revolution, Scientific Revolution, WWI, WWII, and the Cold War.
Realistic
So this is lightly mixed with the Arkham Batman games and the new Gotham Knights because I just wasted too much time and my muse is high. I want to explore the darker parts/more human aspects of the superhero life. It can't all be medal ceremonies and kissing babies.
Muse A and B were the heirs to the empire to to speak. Raised by the best of the best. They were the shining stars against the darkness that was their city. Their mentor had their flaw, but it didn't matter--at least initially--the two of them thought they walked on water. They grew up becoming perfect tools and perfect weapons. Both different, but that just made them more unstoppable. That was the purpose though. When their time came, there couldn't be a weakness. Things were great. Sure they still lived under the constant threat of a super villain threating to kidnap or blow something up every other day, but none of that mattered.
They were the shining stars and the future, that was until it all fell apart. Muse A, the perfect poster child decided to stick it out. It wasn't like they had much of a choice anyway. For them, there was one less in the equation, but that just meant they got to put in a little more effort. Muse B though, well they were finally at their limit. After a string of events unfolded, they just snapped. In a rather violent shouting match across HQ, they were gone and that was the last anyone had heard from them. Not for a lack of trying.
Years passed. Muse A was reaching the top of their game and B had made a new life for themselves in a new city on the villain circuit. Things were back to going great, until once again they weren't. The death of their mentor strings together a series of events that leads them both on a collision course neither could have expected. Inheriting the city,
Almost two years later, Muse A still couldn't get the city back under control and day by day the pressure was building up, not to mention the murder was still unsolved. After an exchange at a high security prison goes wrong, things are locked down and they're now stuck in a fight for their life, the lives of everyone else involved, as well as trying to stop the grand plan from unfolding.
Muse B just so happened to hit a stroke of bad luck, in town for the mentor's funeral. They acted against their better judgement and decided to set up a job. They knew not to act out, but hey. This was their old turf and they knew it better than anyone. Or so they thought. Insert everything that could possibly go wrong. And suddenly they're serving a good little sentence. That is until the uprising starts.
That's when the two bump into each other again. From here, well that is up to us and how far we want to take it and what angle we want to play it from. We can also change up the plot completely!

When the Lights Go Out (Racing, Enemies to Lovers)
Muse A was on the top of the world, a young Formula 1 star, they quickly made a name for themselves and ensured their legacy would go down with some of the greats. Poles became wins, and wins became championships. But like in all things, the rookies start getting better and the media starts spreading rumors. When one started moving through the ranks that was everything that Muse A wasn't, rumors started spreading of them getting replaced, and they started getting scared. Making moves they knew not to make and getting jumpy. A line was finally crossed and they pushed a little too hard. In the blink of an eye everything went down hill. After weeks in the hospital, they made the recovery only to figure out that physically couldn't even get behind the wheel of a normal car without panicking and a formula car had a far worse reaction. A champion at over reacting, the problem didn't fix itself so they did what felt right and ran to where they couldn't be caught. A small town in the US where it would be impossible for anyone to have heard of them.
That's where they met Muse B. Muse B was running from their own kind of ghosts. If there was love at first sight, there was a such thing as enemies at first sight. From the moment they met each other, something about each other was like fire and gasoline. It got to the point where people in town knew to keep them apart at all costs.
The rest of the plot is up to change around and add things. This is another collaborative one!

Scifi/Supernatural/Paranormal/Those Things
The Ghosts of Orléans (Noire DetectivexCrime Boss MxF preferred)1947 New Orleans, Louisiana.
When Henri Olivier finally left the war shredded shores of Europe, he didn't know what was next. Unlike many, he quickly found his footing in the military and absolutely thrived. An OCC Sniper, he made his career of finding out things no one wanted him to know. Already decorated and facing promotion, the shot from the heart of Berlin ended it all. They probably should have kept him, but fate had other things in mind. Jobless and nearly homeless, the America he left in 1941 certainly wasn't the one he returned to. Desperate, he found himself, mostly by accident, on the footsteps of the New Orleans police department. It was a career that his OSS training allowed for him to excel at, so much that they didn't hesitate in bypassing standard promotional protocol. A little less than three years in, and suddenly he's on the verge of busting the crime circuit of New Orleans wide open.
Muse B's family stretches as far back as the city itself. As strong of a reputation that their family has, Muse B's is even stronger. Everyone around the city knows them as the untouchable girl. Powerful, confident, and wealthy, they're the type people sell their souls for, but Muse B has always been more interested in their own tunes. After her parents death, ultimately it was up to her to pave her own path. In a world largely ran by the men, she didn't let it stop her. Besides inheriting her family business, she started her own chain of jazz clubs where she sometimes appears as a guest singer. The clubs become something of an overnight success. Mainly for the music, secondly because she managed to unite every organized crime outfit in the city. Smuggling, trafficking, mod money, drugs, and anything else you can think of, it comes through her.
Insanely smart, nothing links back to her. At every corner there's always a man to take the fall with another one behind them. Even without the city payoffs, she was sitting comfortably, that is until they let the rookie loose on the streets.
(Sorry this is rambling on! I wrote this pretty late and on mobile. Basically MC is the former intelligence officer turned detective and yours is the queen pin of the entire New Orleans underworld. The role play will basically be MC getting close to YCs activities and YC trying to stop them. Of course there is the obvious romance to throw them off/keep track of the investigation. But we can get creative with hitmen and YC framing mine and having him arrested. Paying off cops to destroy evidence. Ect! Basically like every noir detective story with the pretty femme fatale singer)

Under the Nuclear Skies (Apocalypse)
Years had passed since humanity's own ignorance and greed threw the world into flame. Like the ticking of a clock, bombs erupted leaving nothing behind but radiation and devastation. Those who survive managed to do so by sheltering underground. Those who were in bunkers lasted a little while, but those who made it to the metro stations? They thrived. Well thrived as much as you could in cramped conditions while being hunted by mutated creatures.
Anyone who went to the outside world was considered insane. If it wasn't the beasts that hunted them, they usually fell victim to the harsh weather or the poison in the air. These people who made trips to the surface, they were known as stalkers.
Like many, Muse A was born underground. Their entire life was spent staring at metal walls and living with no personal space. When they were a teenager, desperate for money, they joined on to a merchant group as a guard. After seeing the open sky for the first time, they never looked back. Officially becoming a stalker, they were outside multiple times a week. Soon it became more frequent to the point that Muse A only came back down to the stations to sell off supplies and stock up.
Like Muse A, Muse B was also born below ground. They grew up hearing stories of the outside world, but they never cared. The attacks to their station were frequent enough that they didn't want to see what the world had in store. They also knew that eventually they would have to succeed their father as leader of the station and such mentality was more harmful than good. After another wave of attacks, Muse B was forced to flee, not knowing the tunnels they ended up gasping for breath on the surface as the tunnels caved in behind them. Lost and wandering for somewhere secure, they find their way to a building that seems safe enough, a building that happens to be Muse A's temporary camp.

Historical(ish)
So it can take place in either the modern setting or a Cold War type of ordeal. I'm wanting it to be really heavy theme wise. It will be a politician x prostitute/spy. I'd prefer to play Muse A in this, but that can be up for negotiation.
Muse A is used to getting exactly what he wants when he wants it. An Ivy League grad who was elected to the House of Representatives at the age of 25, he was the mind, and ambition, to rival Kissinger. Nearing the age of 30, it was almost assured that he would claim one of his state's seats in the Senate come election time. During a debate on the floor, things went wrong. What should have been an easy pass blew up on the floor. Out of session, ever moment was spent trying to revise and push for it again. In the frustration, nights passed without sleep and even more passed at the bottom of a bottle. In the midst of some obviously self destructive behavior, it was strongly suggested that he get out of town for a while and take a break. Everyone pictures an island or the beach somewhere to play golf, but somehow he landed in Vegas. And right into the lap of Muse B.
Muse B can be a little more open. They can be a spy , a plant by a rival, or whatever your heart fancies. She works/is passing as a prostitute in the casino and is everything Muse A never knew he needed. After one night of her unbuttoning everything that makes him him, he's addicted.
In the panning stages, we can talk things over a little more. Obviously, sexually, this will include a lot of power play. So both parties have to be willing to take and give. I don't have any limits really. So we can throw in whatever we want. Other themes will be heavy on vices. Drugs, alcohol, ect ect.

This is more of a skeleton and is a blend of something along the lines of traditional medieval, WWI, Cold War, Modern War, with a little sci-fi and Romeo and Juliet mixed in. I play Muse A, Muse B can be shaped into however you like.
In basic form, the world is thrown into a devastating WWIII. There are two Nations, Nation A and Nation B. Nation A lived in the shadows. Never much of military state, they won their battles by being smarter. Most of their success came through intelligence and covert action. An intelligence totalitarian state, they firmly believed in peace through unity and collectivism. Their rise came in defense to threats of total destruction. Those who back them believe that in order to stop war, the imbalances must be removed. When they struck, it was fast. With it, they brought the world to its knees.
Nation B was the opposite. Rather tribal, their power came through plutocracy. A nation of warriors and scholars, they found themselves on heavily involved in weapons development and militarism. Though their research was primarily for the sake of knowledge, Nation A saw them as threats. Their backers are those highly individualistic nations who support tribes of similar individuals.
Muse A is the son of Nation A's leader. Strong and independent, it was his duty as heir apparent to serve his nation's cause. Brilliant and tactical, his role was best served in the shadows. Under the pretense of rumors that Nation B was requesting aid from the neutral Nation C, his job was to infiltrate and put a stop to the negotiations before they even occur. Along the way, (I was thinking of a party for the elites), he meets Muse B. In that moment, years of training go out the window and he's helpless.
So I was thinking that neither have a clue to who the other one is until later. It could add to the drama a little. He'll fall hard and fast. Muse B can choose to lead him on or genuinely fall too. The ending can be changed. They can work to end the war, it can end with one of their deaths, they can coup their respective families and take power, ect

so I started watching Peaky Blinders again and really am in the mood for a season 1 Tommy and Grace type ordeal.
Muse A and Muse B are both shadows on the wall for different reasons. Whereas Muse A is the man who runs the streets from the shadows of the night, Muse B is the one sent by the powers that be to flush them out.

(This is kind of pulling off of Napoleon with a sort of alternate history theme mixed in) (This is historical FICTION not a textbook so it doens't have to be 100% accurate)
Muse A was one of the stars of the Swiss Guard. Born into an elite family, there wasn't much else. Entering the Swiss military, he quickly showed extreme potential, desperate to give him a battlefield, he was handed over as an officer to the Swiss Guard and therefore at the mercy of the French King Louis. He bounced around to the French colonies mostly trying to quell the pending Revolution. Fairly successful as a infantry commander, his next mission was in the heart of Paris itself. Stationed to guard the Tuleries Prison, he was one of the few Swiss survivors taken captive by the Revolutionaries.
Muse B has completely found themselves caught up in the new wave of ideologies. Sick of the wealthy and their power, they were one of the first to stand up. THe first sign the Revolt was real was when they were interrogating prisoners at the Paris City Hall. It's in their interrogations that they meet the young Swiss sergeant. Already witnessing the death of his fellow Swiss Guard, Muse A makes an outburst pledging loyalty to the Revolution. Initially a survival tactic, Soon he falls under strict watchful eye of the Revolutionaries. Necessity eventually gives to pure ambition. Muse A sees an opportunity to claim power, and he's willing to take it. Soon he realizes that ambition may not be the only motivating factors pushing him.

As World War II moved ever closer to her climax, the Nazi eagle further clinched her talons across Europe. A high calculated and well developed war machine, Germany almost seemed unstoppable. From tactics to technology. It was nearly impossible to get ahead. Anyone who made any attempts was extinguished before they could make their advances. But that didn't stop anyone from trying.
Muse A always had mixed feelings about the war. Though he knew the Nazis were bad, it just never felt like an issue that America needed to stick its nose in. And like many others, his ticket to Europe was also one he didn't ask for. Leaving medical school for training, everyone knew he would be thrown into medic training. Of course it was a surprise when they handed him a rifle. Now a solo sniper, his short time in the war earned him a reputation. While he may have been a good shot, he was an even better ghost who frequently brought the best of the OSS to shame. Brilliant mentally and a force tactically, he was one of the best intelligence operatives the US Army had stationed in the fractured continent.
Muse B almost had their life decided for them. They had a choice. But it was a highly obvious one to them. Born in -- we'll decide what country-- they were quick to feel the full force of the German army. The war was something they wished they could ignore. Every second of their lives were put on display for the invaders. Some were not appreciative. When the local partisan group emerged, Muse B's father was at the front of it. Though he never allowed Muse B at the front lines, it was always inevitable. When their father was captured, tortured, and publicly executed that's when they made their decision to assume the position with the motive to wash ever German out of their country.
Though they tried their best to contact any Allied nations, their cries for help went unanswered. Forced underground, cornered, low on supplies, and with dwindling numbers, it looked like the effort was going to be for nothing. Until they found something to grab the Allies' attention. Instead of help, they got Muse A. His mission, get in undetected, get the intelligence, maybe take out a few officers, and then get out. Little did they know that it was about to become his fight too. Trapped on all sides and unable to get a message out. He has no choice to team up with the partisan unit and Muse B
(This one is really historical fiction. Yeah we're going to have them fighting back against the Nazis and the struggles placed on towns, but it's going to be fluffy. The main focus is them (probably two people have no clue how emotions work) trying to complete their main objectives, stay alive, and hide their relationship from everyone else.)
