Hello there! I am a mid-30s cat lady looking to get back into writing and roleplaying. My background includes GaiaOnline forums, Guild Wars 2, and a little bit of FFXIV but it has been nearly a decade since I last roleplayed. I am looking for something chill and casual, for a few partners who are willing to bear with me being a bit awkward. It may take me some time to get used to exercising my writing 'muscle' again, but I promise to give it my all~
I tend to keep post lengths fluid, matching my partner or the vibes of the scene. But generally I prefer multi-paragraph lengths. I currently do not have the bandwidth to do more than 500 words-ish/per post. So, to keep things from being overwhelming until I find my footing again, please no novella-length posts! I aim to stick to 2 posts/week at most. Slow and steady!
I absolutely love worldbuilding and lore, but I tend to be less into plotting every single detail out ahead of time. I prefer when stories flow naturally and collaboratively. And sometimes I think the best ideas don't come to you until you are immersed in a thing.
If you want to know more about me... I am a software developer at a very corporate company that has only become more and more stressful with the advent of ai. It absolutely blows, but it pays the bills. When I am not working, I am playing video games (always FFXIV, sometimes BG3, and currently Fields of Mistria), watching kdramas or 90s scifi, reading, or taking nature walks.
Some of my favorite fandoms include... Dragon Age, FFXIV, X-Files, Star Trek, Farscape, BSG, Babylon 5, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Sailor Moon, anything Ghibli.
I love making fancy posts and doing bb code shenanigans and such. Almost as much as actually writing, if I'm being honest. But I don't expect anything from a partner, and I am still learning!
