hello, my name is venus! new to this site, but not new to roleplaying. so, here i am seeking out an adventurer like you to go on a writing journey with me that is hopefully to both of our likings.
here are things i like to write about ;;
- dark fantasy + (elements of) grimdark fantasy
i love all things dark and despaired, but i'd be lying if i said i wasn't a sucker for things turning out alright in the end. it's like a reward for all the evil stuff i put my poor OCs through, but it makes the victory all the sweeter. i draw much inspiration from video game worlds, ttrpgs, and anime, such as dark souls, elden ring, bloodborne, hollow knight, blasphemous, castlevania, hellsing, black clover, and dungeons & dragons. if any of those are things you also draw inspiration from, i think we'll make a great team.
- story with romance subplots/story driven romance
can't say i'm a fan of romantasy entirely as a genre, i prefer to write stories that are focused on the world, the psyche, and the horrors. that being said, i do like romance centered roleplays when it isn't the meat and potatoes of the whole thing. though, if i really like what we have going on, i am more than willing to be flexible about it.
- cosmic horror and the like
you could say this ties into dark fantasy which in a way it does, but the psychological horror of the world, and perhaps our characters not being quite right is something i eat up. i like getting weird, strange, mysterious, and maddened. let us go ahead and see things that aren't there... together. think carcosa and the king in yellow.
so with all that being said, i'll go ahead and talk about things i'm cool with and things i'm not ;;
- gore and violence
i'm down for anything. i'll write about anything. it's important to explore these parts of an unfortunate mortal experience, and makes for interesting stories.
- most kinks and fetishes and sexual content
no bathroom stuff, no furry stuff, no extremely horribly morally disgusting stuff. i can write about torture and non-con. anything past that is not for me. with that being said, i'm open to discussing things if the story calls for it, or if you have an interesting play on the way some stuff might work.
- forcing heteronormative roles on people who aren't hetero
let me be real, when i write about guys, i like writing about guys who are into guys, and they're big guys being into other big guys. i hate enforcing a dom role to a masculine dude and a submissive role to a feminine dude. big fan of buff x buff around these parts. i am not a fan of super feminine guys, and really prefer masculine male characters with an air of femininity about them. that being said, FTM characters are fine! why wouldn't they be? just love me some buff x buff, some masc x masc!!
quick fire answers ;;
- i write 3+ paragraphs usually, and starters and scene changers can be pretty long. i also am planning on being online for 2+ days a week, which usually ends up being in the afternoon to evening in EST.
- i usually like writing submissive characters, but i don't mind writing switches if we're both rocking with it
- i love to talk OOC! please be my friend! it's so fun that way, let me get to know you and the inner workings of your mind, it can make our storytelling even better!
- i don't strictly just write MxM... if we roleplay long enough and you have other ideas, let me know. i promise i don't bite!
