PLOTS
[NEW]The world was divided. Many centuries ago, the Fae courts were split from the human courts. A border put in place prevented either side from crossing. The division was a direct attack from a powerful Fae who craved control and power beyond reason. Splitting the world divided the Fae from their mates, severely hindering their potential. Fae could only mate humans, the connection designed to benefit both species. The Fae would reach their greatest potential, their magic strengthening the the highest of its potential while humans gained longevity. So long as their Fae counterpart lived, they did too. They would even gain magic of their own, some could only channel whatever their mate could while others gained their own power.
Now, the boarder had fallen. Fae have swarmed human territory in search of their mate. And one human stands above the rest, destined to be the bonded pair that brings balance to the world and over throws the tyrant.

On her 25th birthday, our heroine suddenly finds herself covered in a Fae mark, signifying herself as a mate to a particular notorious Fae. The color of the mark signals what court she belongs to, and rumors of his remarkable cruelty have run rampant over the centuries. So, she does the only sensible thing. She runs. But the mask allows him to track her with ease, and she won't remain out of his grasp for long. Our heroine is desperate to stay out of the clutches of a monster, even at the risk of her own life, but not everything is as black and white as it seems. Not all rumors are true. What happens when he does finally come to claim her?
The leader (or future leader) of the Fae kind needs to get married. In order to avoid a miserable marriage, he calls on ancient laws; the first mortal to fall through a Fae circle is to be his bride. This extends buys him time, since it has been ages since a mortal last crossed over. Unbeknownst to the Fae kind, the mortal realm has moved on. Long past their days of naivety, technology has enriched their lives. Many years go by before a human finally falls through. This young woman, completely clueless to the world that lurked outside their borders, suddenly finds herself surrounded by Fae warriors as their leader steps through them to claim her.

Only she doesn't, and he can't seem to let it go. After some light stalking, one day he has her taken. Waking up in his penthouse/yacht/jet, MC quickly recognizes the man who took her. Only, its not so simple as 'sleep with me and you'll be free'. During his stalking. he bcomes obsessed with her and wants her to be his, and to choose to be his. There's also a war going on between rivals, so she's stuck there.
Option 1- We can have them slowly fall in love, eventually, YC restores MC's freedoms
Option 2- Maybe MC never falls in love, but YC refuses to let her go all the way. He eventually starts giving her small freedoms, and one day MC runs into a member of some agency (FBI, CIA), who recognizes her as a missing person and vows to help her

Her face was on some type of media YC indulged in (not porno), maybe she was in an art magazine, maybe she was a speaker at an event he had a phaplet on. Excited by the challenge a successful and clearly bright woman scuh as she, he quickly arranged for her to be taken.
He was a man of great means, so having her abducted was a simple matter. He even arranged it so little harm, physical or emotional, would be done. She was his, and no one was to harm her. Albeit, not exactly willing, she was his girlfriend and there was nothing she could do about it except learn what her cooperation could earn her; gifts, fancy dates, other prizes, all were easy to arrange for him. Regardless of whether showering her with such things made an impression on her.
Where does he take yet? Jet setting around the world? Living it up on a yacht? Trapped in a penthouse?
To spice up the plot as we go, we could make this a time of great tension in YC's world- maybe his organization has a mole, maybe there is a brewing mafia war, maybe MC later gets kidnaped by a rival (maybe all the above).
