He frequently sports a "3 day" beard, and prefers casual clothes over anything formal.
Personality: Nicholas is a brooding individual, but knows the worth of a kind word and a smile when it comes to manipulating those around him. He prefers to avoid direct confrontation whenever possible, seeing it as the remedy of the vulgar masses, but when forced into combat he is an extremely effective fighter. Nicholas has gone to great lengths to keep his humanity intact; he tells himself this is to protect another tool he can use in his manipulation of others, but inside there is a nostalgia for humanism.
History: Nicholas Reinhart was born at Reinhart castle in 1451, near the Black Forest and Heidelberg. Brought up with a strong classical education, Nicholas was dearly loved by his mother, but his relationship with his warlike father was tumultuous at best. More of an intellectual, Nicholas was unenthusiastic at his constant war training demanded of him by his father. Instead he embraced his mother's more intellectual approach to life, which caused a greater rift between his father and himself.
With the death of his mother in 1466, Nicholas fell into a deep melancholy. His unsympathetic father pushed him harder in his war training, but more and more Nicholas fell back to his intellectual studies where he felt deep ties to his departed mother. After more than a decade later his father became a powerful noble due to his conquests, but the animosity between Nicholas and his father only deepened. Eventually his father sent Nicholas to away from Reinhart castle to live with a powerful duke with whom Nicholas' father hoped to form an alliance. Seeing an opportunity to exploit the greed of the nobleman, the potential ally embraced Nicholas against his will, as a way to gain control over the Reinhart estate and its conquered lands.
Nicholas took control of Reinhart castle after his father's death, and continued increasing the power of Reinhart castle over the centuries through less bloody means. Growing tired of the twisting politics of the local kindred elders, Nicholas turned Reinhart castle over to his trusted retainers, and set off for America. After more than a century of traveling across north America, Nicholas eventually settled in the city of Los Angeles where he quickly grew in power through political intrigue and advantage. Some 50 years ago he ascended to Prince of the city when the prior Prince was elevated to the council of elders.
