Good evening,

Thank you for taking the time to look at my request thread. As of shortly, I'll provide a detailed description of my character to allow you to get to understand my style of writing and character development. However, I'm afraid I won't be interested unless you are able to meet a few of my requests.

With Ignacious, Shell Shock and War Neurosis are what I feel to be essential to this kid who was lied to about the War to End All Wars. His character is to represent an entire generation of men whose lives were ruined by the incompetence of the Old Breed, who used them all as a sacrifice. Clay to be shaped, an empty shell to be cast aside, vases to be shattered - disposable heroes.

This will be an early prohibition era plot. Criminals, rum-runners, bootleggers, gangsters, scoundrels, rogues, pirates of a new era. These are men (and women) who are not going to be likable. They orgasm at the sight of violence and love nothing more to flirt with vanity and arrogance. Perhaps relateable, but not to be romanticized.

If any of this interests you, please feel free to send me a private message. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to read this, and hopefully, we can develop a series of plots and scenarios. I can even provide a face-claim if one is so desired - or better yet, a sample of my starter for this character. Just so that you can get a feel of what to expect from my writing method.

Much Obliged,

  1. Role-player with fourteen years of experience
  2. Character development and World building is a must
  3. Long-term partner is preferred, but not necessary
  4. OOC communication is mandatory
  5. Novel inspired posts. Often between one-to-six paragraphs written in Novella format
  6. 75% story - 25% erotica
  7. Multiple characters are required

"Only the Dead live to see the end of War."

Ignacious 'Baby' Di Mercurio is a veteran of the Great War, serving in the 77th Division - the Lost Battalion. Currently, Ignacious works as a Caporegime for the Napolitano family and helps oversee the Gentlemen's Club, Aphrodite's Den. Killing and Assassinations are what seems to be the only thing he comprehends how to do. A year and a half of killing Huns in the Western Front didn't develop the young adult for much else. Running with various gangs in his youth, it's obvious that the life of a gangster would be the hand Ignacious was delt.

Born on October 31st, 1898 - a troubled youth has led to a troubled life. Ignacious has difficulty dealing with living since he has returned from France - seeing any merit in the world is a challenge for him. Depression weighs him down without much attrition. He is known for a harsh understanding - maintaining the belief that he died in the woods of the Argonne. His personality is private and solitary - though, Ignacious often hides behind a cold or mischievous mask. He professedly composed but intensely troubled.

Di Mercurio often regularly fills his free time reading literature or corresponding letters to one of his sisters, Francesca. She is the only Kin he persists to remain in contact with - as Frankie is one of the only reasons to which he hasn't left this world with a bullet wound to his temple. Francesca frets about her brother's health and will make the occasional visit to his apartment or place of work to check up on him. Frankie has even made it her personal mission to find love for the broken veteran.

Ignacious often envisions a life with a romantic partner but is terrified of searching and maintaining relationships of that level, as he is still a virgin. Older dames and ladies attract him the most. A Motherly-type with a sympathetic and compassionate disposition would be a dream come true for the young gangster. As a melancholy romantic, Ignacious retains a journal that he uses to frequently paste newspaper clippings of couples and advertisements of families onto the pages - fantasizing about possessing such a life.
