In the suburb of Grosse Pointe, bored upper-class housewife Abigail Abbott decides to throw a costume party the night before Halloween since her bland husband is away on business. While it was meant for those in her affluent neighborhood, word somehow gets out and people from various parts of the Detroit area show up. Her party becomes wilder than she expected but Abigail finds herself starting to enjoy it. Then at eleven o’clock, Abigail is glancing through the grimoire that is part of her witch costume and nonchalantly says some words she sees. Suddenly a burst of dark magic erupts from the home and ensnares all of Grosse Pointe. Partiers discover they are now really what they are dressed as and the change gradually affects their mind as well as body. Artificial corpses and skeletons take on an un-life of their own and begin to seek the living. Pranksters out on the street become something far more dangerous, destructive, and demonic.
