The Akuma family originated from Kyoto, Japan. The family dominated the location for hundreds of years before being ran out of the city by archangels. Fortunately for the Akuma family, their notoriety followed them as they relocated. The Akuma family is dominated by Fuji Akuma, followed by his wife Naomi Akuma. The couple birthed Akira Akuma, Kai Akuma, and Kane Akuma. ​

Currently, the family are known as an assassination business, as well as the typical distributing lethal poisons and drugs. The family easily cemented their place in the supernatural realm by eliminating their competitors. ​
