Happy December everyone. Let's step away from our extinct friends and instead focus on those that are still with us now. There are so many animals today that are on the endangered species list. You can see a list of them here on the World Wildlife website if you're curious. So, let's have these creatures, both big and small, in our thoughts as we wrap up the year of 2025.

This month's aesthetic, display an aesthetic that features any of these sweet animals.
Display your images in at least two areas.

This can be any combination of:
  • Profile picture (pfp)
  • Banner art
  • Signature art or customization

You do not have to draw or make the art yourself (but you can), just dress up for the occasion! Your signature can include a quote pertaining to this month's theme as an option, just be sure to include it in your screenshot.

Switching the theme does not count as a qualifying option, but it might help you feel more festive! You decide what you might want to try out. Dryad with its leafy green display, or pride with animal print that's reminiscent of the 90's Lisa Frank art.

Once you complete your look, post a screenshot of at least two examples to earn your badge. This is the complete badge page if you'd like to scroll through it and see which of our lovely artists has made what badge.

You can change your aesthetic back after posting if you dislike parting with your standard look and style. The goal is to have fun, not to make anyone uncomfortable.

So, what was utterly predictable would be my choice of animal—what was not, was the degree to which I learned wolves are actively under threat in the US from deregulation and out of control hunting. If you can, please donate to advocacy organizations for this.

(I’ll never forget when the San Diego Safari Park lost their last northern white rhino, Nala, in 2015. I grew up going there multiple times a year and seeing her (and the others), knowing someday they would face extinction despite the WWF’s efforts. Heartbreaking, conservation is so important)​
