House Hollowhand
House Hollowhand, headed by Remus Hollowhand, was a prominent Breton house in the city of Daggerfall in High Rock. During his youth, Remus was a soldier in the Imperial Legion in High Rock. While serving during the Great War, Remus was severely injured during the Battle of the Red Ring; however, his sacrifices ultimately led to the retaking of the Imperial City. With this, Remus was allowed to retire from service and was rewarded with claims to land in Skyrim. Remus seized the opportunity to raise his house to prosperity, travelling with his family from Daggerfall to the Reach of Skyrim. Word of House Hollowhand's contributions during the war spread quickly, raising the house to quick fame. In a stewing pot of perfect circumstance, a succession crisis and political turmoil, Remus Hollowhand was appointed the new Jarl of Markarth by popular favour.

Within the first year of his rule, a decree came from the High King that Remus Hollowhand was to marry Lady Erryn Silver-Blood, a cousin of Markarth's House Silver-Blood. The Silver-Blood family was becoming openly oppositional to the ideals of the Imperial Legion; the matrimony was designed to closely align House Silver-Blood with an agent of the Imperial Legion.

Despite the houses' differences, the marriage was happy and welcomed two children; first, their strong and hearty son Darren, and then their gentle and kind daughter Maiven.

Tragedy struck House Hollowhand seven years after the birth of their daughter. Lady Erryn and the children were travelling to the city of Solitude to visit Erryn's own sister, Eyla, following the birth of her twins. On the road near Karthwasten, their convoy was attacked and raided by the Forsworn. Lady Erryn created a distraction, which allowed her two children to escape to safety, before she was kidnapped and later murdered by the Forsworn.

Jarl Remus was devastated by the loss of his beloved wife; so stricken with grief that he sent his young son to Solitude to train and live in the safety of the Imperial garrison, and has locked his daughter inside the safety of Understone Keep.

⠀

Personality
As a baby, Maiven was nicknamed "Maiven the Fair" by the mothers of the Reach, who adored how calm, happy, and "perfect" she was as an infant. That gentleness followed her throughout her adolescent years and was only highlighted by the contrasting gruff nature of her brother Darren.

After her mother's death, Maiven hardened into a sure-footed young woman. An example of poised balance between gentleness and firmness, kindness not to be confused with naivety. She spends her days locked in Understone Keep, reading any literature her stewards could find for her, which only feeds the growing flame, hungry for adventure and thrill. The time spent fantasizing about a free life has caused her to develop a rebellious streak and created a rift between her and her father.

Adeline

Introduction
NAME:
Adeline Altheim
AGE:
Appears mid-to-late twenties
SPECIES:
Vampire
ROLE:
Club Vice President

6211f90d.png

BORN:
1863, in Munich, Germany
ETHNICITY:
Sinti-Romani, German

Origin & Culture
Adeline was born in 1863 to a subgroup of Romani travellers, called the Sinti. They lived among the German people in the state of Bavaria. Their origins trace as far back as the fifteenth century. The Sinti people traditionally travelled for work; her father worked as a metalworker, and her mother was a seamstress and washerwoman. Adeline was the oldest of seven children, so she took care of her siblings while her parents worked. The Sinti and Romani people are not traditionally religious; however, they are a very spiritual people. They have distinct superstitions and beliefs: they are strong believers in magic, curses, and fortunes.

⠀

Personality
POSITIVE TRAITS:
Devoutly loyal, nurturing, motherly, deeply passionate, highly intelligent, as well as very emotionally intelligent and sensitive. An extremely dedicated worker, performing every task to her utmost ability, and with delicate care.

NEGATIVE TRAITS:
Neurotic; meaning to experience excessive anxiety, nervousness, and emotional instability. Erratic, unpredictable, and impulsive. Bat-shit crazy, with a proclivity for open flames.

Most vampires forget their human and early-turn pasts; as decades turn into centuries, the chapters of their lives blend into only a few summary pages. But not for Adeline. Adeline remembers every single detail with torturous clarity. One hundred and seventy years of historical horrors, navigating the ever-changing world, frozen as a twenty-six-year-old woman.

This has left Adeline disturbed; on her worst days, she is angry, erratic, and impulsive. This often causes her to seclude herself, preferring to be alone rather than to disrupt anyone else with her company. But beneath the natural state of her craziness is someone so desperate for the approval of others, that she works tirelessly for causes that matter to her, especially the MC. Adeline aches so desperately for comfort that she often overcompensates by seeking to take care of others. This has allowed her to essentially become the club's den mother, taking the new fledglings under her wing and providing comfort and guidance.

It is her work that keeps her motivated; feeling responsible to the club and its members often helps keep her grounded, and having a task to focus on helps keep her out of an otherwise depressive state.

But you know that you had it once, and you know that you want it back

cfe0012c.png

  • Born in a wagon amongst midwives and burning sage, cloaked in the darkness of a new moon. The baby that made Eden Boswell and Karl Boswell parents, adoringly named Adeline Yohanna Boswell. The medicine woman nicknamed her "winter baby" as the night she was born on December 10th, 1863 brought nearly two metres of snow to their camp outside of the city of Munich, Germany. Her father was a travelling metalworker, and her mother worked as a seamstress and washerwoman. They worked hard to provide for their children; Adeline remained in the home to take care of her six younger siblings.

In the summer of 1883, a group of German military men visited their camp to trade goods they had collected on their journey: luxurious fabrics, pearls, and gold. In that same beautiful summer, Adeline married the strapping young soldier, Erik Altheim.

Erik's family owned a farm on the outskirts of Munich, just down the road from the Boswell camp. Adeline moved in with Erik's mother and grandmother, and began to work tending the farm. In the evenings, when the work was done and the animals were quiet, Adeline would sneak down the road to have dinner with her Sinti family. Despite their struggles to bring children to the home, the years passed them happily.

On the night of December 26th, 1888, a creature of a man broke into their home, silently, swiftly. The attack left the entire Altheim family deceased. Only, when the sun rose in the morning, Adeline awoke next to the body of her bloodless, beloved husband. Terrified, she ran back to the Sinti camp, screaming for help. The travellers stirred; her own father was the first to awaken to her cries. Only when he exited his wagon, it was not his daughter he found. A terrifying creature, true to their folklore. Too afraid to help her, too protective of her to hurt her, he drove her away, and Adeline Altheim disappeared into the snow.

    ⠀

  • Unsure of what she had become, Adeline lived on the run for nearly forty years. Not aging. Aching for the taste of human blood. Narrowly avoiding many encounters with terrified townspeople, pitchforks, and torches. Finally, in 1929, Adeline settled amongst a group of Romani travellers outside the city of Birmingham, England. She had learned to hide her vampirism from those around her, including Christian Lee. A veteran of the Great War, Christian Lee was the leader of a local gang, which at first materialized in turf wars and illegal gambling rings. Adeline spent years by his side, through times of financial and criminal uncertainty, until the booming enterprise the Lee's businesses soon became.

Christian's platform transitioned from street boss to a member of the British Parliament, and Adeline became his elegant shadow at high-society galas and private political luncheons. But as the years advanced, the playful questions of Adeline's beauty and age became spiralling theories: a woman untouched by the ten years spent at her husband's side. With the rise of Fascism in Britain in 1939, Christian Lee was deplatformed due to his Romani heritage. Convictions of fraud and illegal gambling quickly caught up to him, marking the beginning of a wave of unjust persecution of Jewish and Romani people across Europe. Christian was ultimately imprisoned because he was a powerful Romani man; his power scared them. Adeline travelled with the rest of the Lee family into the English countryside.

Christian Lee died in prison during the Battle of Britain in August 1940, leaving Adeline to inherit his dynasty.

    ⠀

  • TW: Talks of kidnapping, alludes to SA.

After inheriting Christian's wealth, Adeline remained with the Lee camp for several years. She ensured the children, her nieces and nephews, were clothed and fed comfortably during the uncertainty of the Second World War. She even put finances away to ensure they could attend college if they might like to, something Christian planned to do for them before his death. But as the camp's medicine woman grew more suspicious of her unaging complexion, and neighbouring towns began to track the suspicious disappearances of their drunk men, Adeline began to sense she had overstayed her welcome in Britain.

She travelled to America, stepping off the boat in Boston, before travelling to New York. The bustling city was thrilling and provided her with innumerable hunting opportunities. Adeline lived many versions of herself in New York. She invested Christian's money and began seeking out as many opportunities as she could. In the late 1940s, she attended several universities, receiving degrees in mathematics, business, art, and history. In the 1950s, she took up a career as a Broadway dancer, under the alias Joan Martin. In the 1960s, Adeline took to becoming a career hippie; an environmentalist, a protester, and a partygoer.

In August 1969, at the Woodstock Music and Art Fair in Bethel, New York, Adeline was coerced and kidnapped by a college-aged man. She was held in a camper van on the festival site for four days, before later being moved to a secondary location for another ten days. Adeline was finally able to bite her captor as he forced himself upon her.

    ⠀

  • Adeline was so bewildered by the entire ordeal that she fled New York to Florida. In Florida, she chose not to set up a home or life; instead, she floated from clan to clan of vampires, fleeing each family the second they showed any interest in her history. It was easier to succumb to the depravity. To allow herself to submit to the primal side of her vampiric nature entirely. It was also ridiculously simple to hide the bodies of her victims with the alligators and snakes of the Florida Everglades.

Adeline lived in seclusion for nearly fifty years. A homeless woman sleeping in pedestrian underpasses and sewers by day, an animalistic killer by night. Slowly she migrated along the Gulf of Mexico, coming to settle in New Orleans.

While hunting one night, Adeline ran into a large group of vampires, all belonging to the same family. At first, they let Adeline hunt with them, but overtime the relationship slowly developed into them inviting her to join the clan. Adeline was a very passive member of the family; thankful and appreciative to have a stable environment to call home. It was in this clan that Adeline met Orion, and the two elder vampires developed a quiet bond of understand and respect. As the years passed, Adeline became more aware of the corruption that was deeply engrained in the inner workings of the family. Orion's exit was Adeline's ticket to escape.

Appearance
HAIR: Dirty blonde

DESCRIPTION: Adeline's most striking feature is her haunting stare, her pale hazel-green eyes could burn a hole in most. Otherwise, Adeline appears very unassuming. But you know that you're needing it, and you know that you need it bad

MISCELLANEOUS
— Adeline rarely rides anymore. Her 1983 Honda Nighthawk sits in the alley behind the clubhouse; its "Candy Wineberry" paint is hidden beneath a layer of dust and a tarp.

— She is very superstitious and spiritual, maintaining the same Romani beliefs she was born into a century and a half ago.

— She was so in love with Erik, that she never changed her last name again.

— She retained a lot of money from her second husband Christian, which, over the last 80 years, has compounded immensely. She makes large donations to the MC.

— She lives in a small, one-room apartment on the top floor of the bar and clubhouse.

— Beneath all of her emotional instability, Adeline is extremely well educated and skilled. She has many unsuspected talents, such as the piano, the harp, billiards, and dancing.

— Some pyromaniac tendencies

Everett

Introduction
NAME:
Everett Collingwood
NICKNAMES: Ever, Ev

AGE:
Appears late twenties
SPECIES:
Vampire
ROLE:
Bus boy, dishwasher
SEXUALITY:
Gay-leaning bisexual

d0498643.png

BORN:
October 5th, 1999
ETHNICITY:
American

Early Life
Everett grew up in Beaumont, Texas. He was the only child of Arthur Collingwood and Denise Collingwood. Both Arthur and Denise were very successful business lawyers, whose popularity required them to travel often for work. While they were away, Everett was left in the care of his grandmother, Cheryl.

⠀

Personality
POSITIVE TRAITS:
Everett is a witty, unserious, comedy act. He is always trying to make someone laugh and provides comedic relief in any environment. But his humour has boundaries; he is never intentionally trying to offend anyone and is extremely apologetic if he thinks he has. He has a free spirit, and a kind heart.

NEGATIVE TRAITS:
He'll admit it, but Everett is a little lazy. Despite his parents' success, he has very little ambition, content with his job as a dish boy at the bar. Everett can also get carried away, finding it hard to read when to be silly or when to be serious. Finally, he has no perception of whether someone likes him or not, which causes him to pester people accidentally.

Everett was not one of the children who craved their parents' approval; in fact, he nearly craved the opposite, seeking to disappoint them for even a shred of their attention. He would ask out in class, never maliciously, but enough to get him sent home for the day. This class-clown behaviour got him mixed in with the wrong crowd in the later two years of school; he and his friends would graffiti, sneak into abandoned buildings, or maybe kick over a bicycle.

Everett drew a clear line at anything truly criminal; when sneaking into old buildings turned into sneaking into their school, and kicking over bikes turned into bothering homeless people, Everett stopped hanging out with the group. He craved fun, not criminal mischief. Despite it all, his grandmother fondly describes him as sweet, with not a true mean bone in his body.

We all play a part in the devil's cheer

f40def2c.png

The Turn
Everett's life was coasting pretty smoothly; he moved out of his parents' home into a bachelor apartment and was working in the kitchen at a local restaurant. He and his coworkers grew close, and they started going out in the evenings after their shifts. On this day, the group decided they would road-trip to New Orleans and get a hotel at a casino for the weekend. The group of misfits, small-town kitchen staff, hit the big city. They hopped bars and clubs until they could hop no more, practically crawling back to their hotel room. It was only when they piled into their beds that they noticed that Everett was missing. This was normal; he was a fruity social butterfly who often got distracted talking to anyone who would listen. Figuring he made a new friend, the rest of the group settled in for the night.

Everett never returned to Texas.

That night, he had been separated from the group in a large crowd crossing the busy street. He wandered for quite some time; his phone battery had died, and after a few hours of searching, he decided that the safest option was to go back to the casino-hotel and wait for them. He asked the desk attendant for a new room key; his friends had the other ones. Room 1311. Strange, Everett thought; he could have sworn they were only on the fifth or sixth floor. His gut told him something was wrong when he stepped off the thirteenth floor; he should have trusted himself, but instead he wrote it off as drunken anxiety. Swiped his card; the handle blinked green, and his human life ended. Behind the door of room 1311 was a hoard of four vampires. The casino was owned by the leader of their clan; the desk attendant was a plant to direct stays to the thirteenth floor, where the hungriest vampires waited in turn to feed.

Everett was a stubborn one, drained to the very cusp of death, but holding on so tightly. To what he didn't know, but his resilience intrigued the vampires. They called their leader, chatting on the phone while Everett sputtered on the floor. When the man entered, dressed in a suit, delirious Everett thought he might be the hotel manager and begged him for help. The leader changed him and put him up in a hotel suite to recover. As soon as Everett was strong enough to move, he hatched a plan to escape, stealing a room-service employee's uniform, and sneaking out of the casino's employee entrance.

Appearance
HAIR: Dark brown, long but nicely styled
EYES: Dark brown
HEIGHT: 5'9
BUILD: Thin but muscular, scrappy build

DESCRIPTION:Everett is a slippery little bugger. He turned out shorter than he would have liked, but he exchanged size for strength. Everett has dark brown hair that is just shy of being able to be put in a bun. He always sports a shadow of facial hair. He has no tattoos, despite always wanting them, though he allegedly has his nipples pierced. Everett has a smile that is both hard to describe and hard to forget. It is genuine, but those who know him closely can see the shadow of sadness beneath his toothy grin.

Run to the hills 'cause the end is near

MISCELLANEOUS
— He has never owned a car; instead he rides a neon yellow 2010 Kawasaki Ninja

— He is actually very musical and plays the drums

— He calls himself bisexual, but he is honestly just confused. He has such a strong respect for women, upholding them on a pillar, worshipping his female friends. This feeling towards women is so strong that he can't even bring himself to sleep with them.

— He makes the best girl-bestfriend. Manicures? Shit'yeah. Wine tasting? He drinks white. Shopping? Only if he gets his iced coffee first.

— He hates the taste of liquor; he would much prefer a seltzer.

— After changing, he tried to go back to his parents' home in Texas. He got as far as the front door before leaving again. Deciding that it would be easier to believe he was missing in New Orleans, than to hear the truth.

— You heard that. Nipple piercings.

Gael Targaryen

♦⠀intro⠀♦

age: nineteen
name day: december tenth
sexuality: heterosexual

♦⠀looks⠀♦

height: 163cm
hair: waist-length, white blonde
eyes: rich blue
complexion: porcelain

Gael was considered to be peaky when compared to all of her sisters. Her rough start to life, being born prematurely and nursed by septas for her entire first year, contributed to her frail appearance. Though now, as a grown lady, she has come into her beauty. Her most striking feature is her long white-blonde hair, a signature of the Targaryen family. She often wears it long and loose, allowing her natural curls freedom.

♦⠀character⠀♦

positive traits: kind, gentle, intelligent, well-educated
negative traits: timid, shy, quiet, easily overwhelmed, anxious

Gael is delicate. Her mother often described her as "too fair for the world," a term which began when she was brought to tears by the killing of a mouse. Gael is very well-read and educated, studying vigorously about world history and politics. Her meekness is not to be confused with naivety; Gael is sure-footed and passionate. In recent years, especially after the incident, Gael has become quiet and withdrawn.

♦⠀story⠀♦

Princess Gael Targaryen was the thirteenth and last child of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen and Queen Alysanne Targaryen. Born during one of the harshest winters Westeros has seen in a century, Gael was also fondly called the Winter Child. Born prematurely, as her mother's childbearing years were coming to a close, Gael spent the first year of her life very ill. With the tender and dedicated care of the septas, Gael was able to overcome her bleak odds and began to thrive in early childhood.

Gael took a liking to her older brothers, Gaemon and Valerion Targaryen, twins who had been born in a similar condition to her. Only, their illnesses extended much longer than hers. Valerion grew strong with age, leaving Gaemon alone in his sickbed. Gael felt much pity for Gaemon, and began taking care of him in the small ways she could manage. She spent many years of their childhood reading to him, singing, playing the lute, and sneaking sweets into his chambers on the longer nights.

Their closeness faded in their later years; Gael became burdened by talk of her marriage. Surviving several of her older sisters, the burden fell through the cracks onto her to marry well. But before she could be wed, Gael began meeting with a man. The man who had taught her the art of music in her girlhood. One night, they fled the castle, all the way down to the docks. She was infatuated with him, ready to leave royal life behind for a passionate love. Only, there was no love. There was only predatory lust.

Taken advantage of on the ship to begin their new life, Gael would later deliver a baby boy, born sleeping.

The deception from the man she had loved so dearly, and the death of a bastard son, left Gael in tumultuous grief. That was, until the Velaryons found her.
