Florynce stands around 5'3" and is of a dainty build, her fingers stained with ink and her complexion almost alabaster. She has fiery red hair, intelligent green eyes and a really pretty smile.

Florynce is an expert in many ancient, lost and magical languages but her magical studies were cut short by her previous Master's obsession. She can do a little fire magic (finger light, sparks) and can communicate with small animals.

Tiffany or Tiffie to just about everyone in town is a friendly, struggling 30 something who just seems to have no luck with money. A country girl through and through, she has fallen on hard times and now works in the local diner called Greasy Sal's.

Small town life is getting to her, but a failed attempt at becoming an actress has resulted in her living with her retired, well-off parents again who take great joy in informing her, at length that they "told her so."

The Drake family have always been cops, Ali's grandfather was a cop, her father was in SWAT until he was fatally wounded and her younger brother a beat cop. Ali is a naturally charming, intelligent and resourceful individual. With a solid caseload of completed homicides under her belt she is respected and admired on the force.

Ali has always rejected too much chrome herself, only accepting her HolmesEye (c) implants and connection jacks. She finds this helps her to get on with most people as the chromed officers often scare older citizens.

Ali was first on the scene at her own brother's murder and once the shock had worn off knew this was something different. The MO fit with a cyberpsycho the press was calling the Neon Reaper!! Ali was taken off the case, but know's she's the best chance of cracking it and bringing her brother's killer to justice.

Ali uses her Father's old Colt Python with smart rounds, there isn't much the old hand cannon won't bring down. She also has s smaller Hammerelli sporting pistol as a back up. Ali is sn excellent shot, and a highly skilled martial artist, but only ever uses force as a last resort.

Ashleigh is a motivated if slightly dim secretary who works for the legal company Manning and McMahon. She has aspirations well above her intellectual capacity and has taken to flirting heavily with her boss to get her out of the typing pool. A long time ago when the sky was a different shade, the species had separated. Some stayed below the waves, others decided to take their chances on land, using ancient magicks to change their form. These forces have long since been forgotten, but the two species remain. As the land dwellers have grown, amassed powerful weapons and multiplied beyond their environment's capability to naturally sustain them, so have the merfolk descended deeper and deeper beneath the waves.

Aerwyna is a Mermaid, not the pretty hair swishing type. But the spear your enemies with a trident type and Princess of the Ullabahani tribe, currently at war with the Great Ur-Annuannaki tribe. Somehow she ended up caught in a drift net, injured by a shark and has been turned into a clumsy surface dweller by an evil (ok moody) fresh water Nymph called Emily. To make matters worse her only ally is a sad, downtrodden human who has zero self-respect and can't believe his luck that such a beautiful creature is talking to him.

History

Alice exhibited magic pre-puberty at the age of 10 which is highly unusual, especially considering neither of her parents were of magically talented origin or knew anything at all about the secret world just beneath the surface of theirs. Alice was quietly and rapidly moved by the local mages lodge and things seamlessly plastered over. She was quickly inducted into the McLeod's Academy for gifted youngsters in Oban Scotland and taught the basics of magic and how to control it, to stop random outbursts of arcane energy.

Background: Born in a small village in Oxfordshire, Lucy's life was turned upside down when her parents were killed in a road traffic accident. She went to live with her aunt, who hated that she'd been saddled with someone else's kid. It wasn't a great match and Lucy hated it. Move on four years and Lucy's surrogate father started making unwelcome advances. Lucy was moved by a charity when she opened up to a teacher. Personality/description: Lucy is kind and caring, but can be fierce at times - especially if she is protecting someone else. She's always had to fight for what she has; even now, she has to work as a stripper to make money to fund her law degree. As Winter she only speaks in a whisper, is submissive and keen to please.

The whiteness wasn't all Winter of course, she used body glitter to make her skin paler than it naturally was. It wasn't to everyone's taste, but she did capture the fringe elements and she found it a useful disconnect from her normal self. Like a superhero, she had a mild mannered alter ego, in her case "Lucy Frost" a second year law student, who'd fled to the states in her late teens. She'd had her reasons and getting a job had been a nightmare! She'd done waitressing, theme bars, nightclub dancer, even some backing dancing in music videos, and now here she was. A lap-dancer, stripper, or exotic dancer as some of the girls called themselves. It didn't matter really, the money was good and it was a means to an end.
