Background:

Sookie was the only daughter of a Thatcher who already had two sons, an unexpected child and extra mouth to feed on a poor man's wage. Although loved by her mother her father always just saw her as useful and excess to requirement. Wen an alchemist came into town a year ago he jumped at the chance to get rid of her for a small bag of silver.

Sookie is clumsy, and accident prone and a little vacuous at times. However she is absolutely lovely, kind and friendly, something her often busy master forgets. She has become his unofficial secretary, and PR girl, while he gets on with the business of making alchemical reagents and unguents. She is picking up alchemy too and has an amazing memory for reagents and formula, just don't let her near the volatile ones...

As war threatens the land Sookie is keen to help her master however she can, her big heart not enjoying the suffering that war causes.

Carmen is a good-looking woman in her mid-twenties of Hispanic origin, she has dark, pretty eyes ad an easy smile. She has an easy sense of humour and is easy to get along with. She dresses fairly practically for work in scrubs and a white coat, or jeans, sneakers and a tee for everyday wear. For a night out she embraces her heritage wearing long flamenco style dresses. She has an easy grace to her from dancing as a hobby.

History

Carmen is unlucky in love, she has had a string of shitty relationships, from poor to bad to borderline abusive including one guy who now has a restraining order on him. There's no reason for this at all Carmen would make a good partner or even wife. She's a good cook, a caregiver, keeps a nice house and loves dancing and romance. She's also pretty adventurous in the sack, she just seems to have the raw god-given ability to pick out the shittiest men on this green earth.

She works as veterinarian in a successful practise in which she is a partner, she has a good car and a nice apartment, is intelligent and witty.

In her spare time Carmen is a big fan of dancing, she has tried everything from street dancing to ballet, but her personal favourites are salsa and Flamenco. As a result she has long, shapely dancers legs and a strong, attractive body.

She's hoping to find "the one" so her life can be perfect, meet a nice guy, settle down, 2.4 the whole nine yards and all the other cliche's, it's just such a shame men like that don't seem to exist!

Background: Ceri (Pronounced Serry) was born on an inner core planet, her father a respected ember of the Coalition Astra Navy and responsible for cutting down most of the piracy in the outer rim. He was respected and when his son was born there was much rejoicing. Ceri was born ten years later, an unexpected child and despite breakthroughs in medical science her mother died in childbirth.

Life was still good and the Commodore remarried, but the new step-mother brought her own hang-ups and although she seemed to love the Commodore's eldest son, she seemed to take a dislike to Ceri. While Ceri's father was around though she had to behave. This all changed last year when Ceri's father perished in a large battle out on the frontier. His body was never recovered, but his ship was atomised. The families luck seemed to take a turn for the worst as Ceri's brother was lost a few weeks later in a large skirmish against pirates.

With the bills for their residence stacking up and no way to pay for it. Ceri's step-mother the Baroness Allaya Valdetta-Moontz has started to look for alternative incomes and set-up a party to give Ceri away to a suitably rich suitor... And that's where we will begin her tale.

Description/Personality: Ceri is a kind, but free-willed girl. Although she doesn't have many practical skills as she's been raised as a lady, she's always been fond of dancing and for some reason had a knack with anything mechanical, she just seems to understand how machines work by looking at them, no matter how complex. It is rumoured her Father and Brother had a similar gift, but for piloting. As the adventure starts she dresses in the latest of core fashions and has her long strawberry blond hair up in the latest core styles, her shoes are impractical and difficult to walk in and she is drenched in jewellery...
