General Physical Description: Lee looks unwell; she is think, her skin is sallow and dark rings under her eyes have become a permanent feature. Years of drug use, alcohol and smoking makes her look older than she is and she never appears to be truly at ease, as if being a functioning human is just an act. When sober, Lee usually dresses smartly and in dark, monochrome tones. Due to scarring, she usually wears high necked tops, even in hot weather. Lee wears her hair long and straight, dyed box black. She is never seen without an ornate silver ring on her left middle finger.

HISTORY
Biography: Lee's early life was good; two parents who loved her, with enough wealth to keep her not only fed, but happy. This changed when Lee was fourteen; she was a passenger in a car accident that claimed the life of the driver. Although Lee survived, she was in hospital for months after, sustaining injuries she would never fully recover from and scars to match. Lee was put on a cocktail of drugs to manage her pain; what began with prescription painkillers soon became an abuse of illegal substances.

Lee succumbed to her addiction for many years, before attempting to become sober at 26. She relapsed for a short while, but was able to stay clean for the last year.

Four years ago, Lee met the love of her life, Elodie. It did not take long for them to become a couple and start living together. Unfortunately, nothing beautiful can last. Six months ago, the pair got into a blazing row, which saw Lee storm out of the house, deliberately leaving her phone behind. After several hours, not having heard from her, Elodie set out, terrified that Lee had fallen to old habits and got herself hurt. This became her undoing; Elodie was hit by a drunk driver and though she did not die at the scene, by the time Lee had been contacted, it was too late.

Lee remains haunted by both car accidents and blames herself for the death of Elodie.

General Physical Description: In her day-to-day appearance, Marianne is the sort of woman people don't really pay attention to. On the tall side, with a figure that isn't quite fat and isn't quite thin, she dresses in drab jeans and sweaters most of the time, almost never wearing jewelry except for an antique silver cross ring on the middle finger of her right hand. Often wearing wigs as part of her stage costume, she keeps her mousy brown hair cut in a short pixie style that brings out the angles of her diamond-shaped face. She doesn't bother with makeup except for the most formal occasions or performances, which means the dark circles under her narrowly-set hazel eyes and the hollows in her cheeks are usually obvious to the average passerby on the street. Despite all this, her stage ego of Angrb0da is almost unrecognizable; wearing long, pin-straight black wigs (occasionally with red or white highlights), pale corpse makeup and black lipstick, and dramatic contact lenses that change her eyes bright red, white, or all-black. Due to the drastic differences in these two appearances, almost no one but the most devoted fan would ever recognize Marianne as a charismatic rock star.

HISTORY
Biography: Marianne is a born musician, having learned to play piano before she could even read, and picking up a variety of instruments through the course of her life. She formed her first band at age 11 with her twin brother Martin, who would go on to extreme fame as the drummer for the world-famous rock band 0d1n. While Marianne also achieved her dream as a professional musician playing with less-popular groups, she never quite achieved the fame that her brother's band did. Thankfully she was never the jealous type, and fully supported Martin (who adopted the stage name Matthias Loki) as his career skyrocketed. Sadly, with 0d1n's success came the usual substance abuse and scandal, and two years ago Martin passed away due to a heroin overdose. Rather than break up, the band invited Marianne to take her brother's place as drummer, and she agreed, hoping the experience would help her feel closer to her twin and process her grief. She adopted the stage name Angrb0da, and recorded one album with the group that was unfortunately not well received. Not long after, 0d1n's lead singer, Khrystian Starr, was accused of assaulting a fan, and the group finally decided to take a hiatus until an undetermined time. Marianne couldn't bring herself to find another job just yet, and is still working through the weight of her brother's death and a sense that she's failed him, and she isn't sure what step to take next.

Notable Relationships: Marianne has struggled to connect with her family following her brother's death, and her relationships with her bandmates have always been contentious. Lead singer Khrystian Starr brought on her on in a desperate attempt to keep the band together, but as soon as the fan base turned on her he was ready to throw her under the bus, threatening to fire her before causing a scandal himself (and still finding new ways to blame her for the band's downfall). Guitarist Jae Baldur is another classically trained musician who held her to impossibly high standards, which improved her skills but put a huge strain on her mental health. And bassist Fenrir, while kind to her, was rumored to be her brother's lover, and there was always an unspoken tension between the two that never got resolved before the band went on hiatus.

More often than not, he is also wearing several rings of a generally silver hue and is rarely seen without a simple necklace of similar fashion. His forearms are littered with small scars that have faded greatly with time, seemingly obtained in scuffles and some of which even vaguely resemble scratch or bite marks.

General Physical Description: Lean and fit, Ramsay often wears slim and dark attire, rarely venturing beyond shades of black and gray. He is fond of baggy and loose bottoms and more slim-fitting undershirts in moderate weather, but wears dark overcoats or leather jackets to combat chill. He has shoulder-length, unkept black hair that is frequently controlled by putting it up in half of a bun at the crown of his head while the bottom half falls freely; his hair is unruly and he has no interest in correcting the stray strands that fall out or begin to frame his face throughout the day. He has sharp, albeit tired features, appearing somewhat sleepless and grumpy at first glance.

HISTORY
Biography: Ramsay was put into the foster system at a young age, though old enough to understand that he'd either been given up by his biological parents or that they couldn't take care of him. He was an unruly child, often bending or breaking rules to get into spaces he wasn't supposed to or to benefit him in some way. Ramsay often fought throughout his youth, picking fights and being picked with in equal measure, but he tried to keep his temper under control and though he failed more often than not, he attempted to make friends wherever he was. He bounced between a great many families until adulthood, experiencing both the best and some of the worst that the foster system had to offer. In the end, he felt as though the only thing that the foster system had ever really given him was a few flakey contacts to call in case of an emergency and a crippling fear of large canines (courtesy of a particularly unlucky encounter with an oversized pet who evidently had not taken a liking to him as a young teenager). Though he never boasted having a large quantity of friends, he bonds very deeply and feels strongly for the few that he maintains- though in recent years, he has grown somewhat distant from his old contacts. He spent some time following foster care on his own, even living on the streets for a few brief stints of time, but has otherwise taken care of himself by living cheap and taking laborious work. Ramsay never liked to sit still and though some particular hobbies persisted (martial arts, urban exploration, spooky literature and the like), he often sought new lines of work and new means to entertain himself when the inspiration strike him.

General Physical Description: Rookie was blessed with good looks, the foundations of which still remain beneath chronically neglected, silvery stubble. His nose is mostly straight, his cheekbones high, and his dark brown eyes are prone to glittering with varying shades of amusement. He has a good smile, straight and white, just like Rookie—he cannot stress enough just how straight he is. He is tall and slim, given to leaning, slouching and lounging, ever folding and unfolding his gangly limbs in his Sisyphean quest for comfort. He keeps his full head of fine, graying hair cut to a versatile, medium length. At complete odds with his indifference toward grooming, he is armed with a sharp, timeless wardrobe of quality cuts and fabrics.

HISTORY
Biography: Theodore Rook was born pretty, privileged and precocious. From there things only got better. He was well-liked in school and talented at academics, and had a boyish charm that made the other boys laugh and the girls blush. He went on that way, smoothly working his way through a comfortable life. He went to college and then law school. He interned with the best firms in Omaha—he grew up in Nebraska, perhaps the only stroke of bad luck in the entirety of his young life—and he was hired by one of those firms. He married a beautiful girl and put her in a beautiful house. He was successful, he had money. He spent it on whatever he pleased, which included parties. Theodore loved to throw a party, or attend a party, or crash a party, and whenever there wasn’t one, he became the party. He was a bon vivant of the highest order until it caught up with him one day, in the most spectacular fashion. He was driving home with his wife after a night with the partners—he was one by then, he was thirty-six and fully entrenched within the firm’s boys’ club—and keeping it between the lines when a family of five blew through an intersection and ruined him forever. Five counts of vehicular manslaughter later, he’d lost his wife, his career and his freedom. As of today, Theodore has been serving eleven years and is not eligible for parole for another four, but through a strange and not entirely sense-making series of events, he finds himself released and heading for St. Else Island.

Standard ear piercings, one on each ear lobe and no more. When she was 20 she got a small, line-art tattoo of a robot on her right ankle, which looks like a cartoon figure with simplistic shapes. When she was 22, she added a similar styled UFO above the robot, like it's trying to abduct it.

General Physical Description:
Petite and short, Fern has a slim build with unseen muscles, her figure maintained with routine jogging on her treadmill and some yoga, if she spares herself the time to do it, though truthfully she struggles to put on extra weight. She is strong enough to carry out her job without needing to ask for help, unless something is too high up or it is over fifty pounds. Her shoulders and hips are proportionate, her figure more angled with slight curves where it counts—she’s aware of how lacking she is in that particular department. She has green eyes and her vision is fine enough, unless she's been staring at a screen for too long, then things begin to blur. Her hair is naturally red and has a mind of its own. Sometimes it’s full of waves, other times it’s laying flat and lifeless. She doesn’t fuss with cosmetics, her freckles are light and dust her rosy complexion from head to toe. Fern burns easily under direct sunlight, it doesn't take much exposure for her face to turn a bright shade of pink. She always has a chapstick or lip gloss in her pocket, and applies daily lotion on her face with built-in UV protection.

Fern isn’t afraid to wear colors. She normally dresses in neutrals (tans, browns, greys, whites and blacks) as well accent colors (greens, teals, purples, blues), often seen wearing dress pants and some type of blouse. She has a stash of graphic tees and jeans she's collected over the years that she'll wear out to specific events, but otherwise tends to dress herself in a business casual style. She doesn't wear skirts, but will occasionally wear shorts if going outside in the summer, like to the beach or pool. If she wears jewelry, the pieces are usually simple, either gold or silver, but never together. She has a fondness for turquoise pieces. The real struggle is finding clothing that fits. She can technically shop in the girl's section for her shoes; she sticks to flats because they're more comfortable and she's not insecure about her stature.

Fern has also broken off relationships because partners always end up wanting more than she is willing to give. They end up trying to push her to do more with her life, or to do more with them.
• Innovative/Creative: if there's a more efficient way to do a task, she'll find it and teach others if they seem receptive to her ideas.
• Anxious: making friends can be uncomfortable and intimidating—she'll probably say something wrong. Loud noises make her jump, and often, involuntarily yelp. She carries a prescription.
• Independent: regardless of her stagnant life, she is self-sufficient and doesn't depend on anyone to pay her way. She solves her own problems and thinks for herself before blindly agreeing with the crowd.

The world is her oyster, but she hates seafood.​

Fern is an electrical engineer (EE), with a basic understanding of an electrician's trade from her father (like, she can do electrical work, but not legally speaking). She's studied mechanical and civil engineering as well. There have been endless opportunities for Fern to thrive career wise, she has the smarts and skills to go far. If she was driven enough, she could have been out designing buildings and bridges instead of correcting and restructuring power grids. But that doesn't bother Fern. She doesn't mind being a person that works behind the scenes.

Fern’s anxiety rules her more than she cares to admit. It keeps her in a stagnant, predictable sort of life where excitement is almost physically uncomfortable, unless there's a new combat robotics match to attend, which will get her out of the house and out with friends. She's built more than one robot over the years, but even then she stands on the sidelines, watching while having someone else do the battling. She likes going out to eat, and hanging out with others, but she's the quiet one that prefers to listen, and the first to finish eating because of it. People call her shy.

It's Just a Job:
Fern was asked to go to the island with a detailed list of updates and repairs needed in the old factory to get it back up to code. She didn't want to go, but was the only one qualified and able to commit time to the project (everyone else has kids and familial obligations).

Prominent Features or Distinguishing Marks: A beauty mark beside her left eye. A, sometimes, instantly recognizable face that hasn't changed much since her youth.

General Physical Description: If she's doing a good enough job, you may not notice her at all. Sadly, a thick mess of flaxen curls and a youthful, vaguely-familiar, face make this more difficult than she'd often wish. Most commonly, this results in protracted stares or the occasional brandished index finger while minds rummage through the dustiest parts of themselves, struggling at a name they might've once known for a face they almost certainly remember.

"Baby Holly!" They cry, triumphant in their recollection. "You got lost at the Zoo. They found you in the monkey house."

"Yeah," is all she can usually muster. "Hi."

• Neurotic - you try having someone over your shoulder your whole life. It'll make you tense and probably bad at taking advice.

• Selfish - Sometimes all you've got is what you can take.
• Reserved - "Sit still, honey. No. Honey, sit still. Look over here, look at the camera. Smile! Oh, she's so pretty! Stay still, honey. Okay, look at Mama. Look at Mama!" ...you get the idea.

Likes: Reading. Attempts at poetry she'll never share, even with the most vulnerable parts of herself. Cats (she owns none, but entertains the idea. A compromise that's sated her for years now). Comfortable clothing. Sunglasses and hats (there's a pattern here). Tasteful jazz arrangements. Tea with an irresponsible amount of honey. Fuzzy socks.
Dislikes: Dogs. Answering direct questions. Repeating herself (if only she'd speak up). Windy days or any extremity in the weather. Healthcare appointments. Bright, cold, lighting.

HISTORY
Biography: Casting agents and talent scouts all over the world have a set of guidelines they follow when on the hunt for their next potential cash cow/child star: cute, quiet and hopefully with a parent and/or legal guardian who doesn't mind the occasional long day of filming or questionable on-set antics. Lights, camera, action on Kaitlyn O'Leary, known best for playing "Baby" Holly Shephard on TV's Hope Springs, which ran from 1996-2004 on WHN (a "Faith and Family" focused network included with most cable TV packages of the era).

Cute, quiet, but the subject of only two dedicated episodes over the course of the program, she's found difficulty in following a path that'd been set out before she was able to form her own sentences. Cute, as it turns out, only gets you so far, while quiet can be a death sentence in the vicious realms of entertainment. A few made-for-television movies here (Brisko : Stallion of the West; 2002 & Goalie Camp 3!; 2014) and one disastrous community theatre appearance there (Hats off for Hirschel; dir: H. Eichenbaum) she's the last person to consider herself an actor, subsisting by the kindness (see: obligation or pity) of strangers (see: acquaintances and 'industry' friends) and residuals that are, slowly but surely, drying up.

With her mother/agent MIA (cruise ships are notoriously dangerous places) and no prospects on the immediate horizon, she's taken to following the loose threads left behind by an old friend.
