Name: Siniara of House Maerahe
Race: Drow
Rank in Drow Society: Noble
Parentage: Orphan
Hair color: Silvery white
Eye color: Amber
Trained in: Combat, Cultures, Politics, some magics, Pleasure

Siniara is the first born daughter of first born daughter. Unlike the norm in their society, her grandmother was especially fond of her and her mother. Sin was seen as particularly special when she was born as amber eyes are looked at as a sign of the blessing of their goddess. As part of a large, wealthy family intent on expanding their influence, her parents left their home city when Sin was only two, headed for a nearby city to check on their holdings there and secure their. Unfortunately, their caravan was attacked in the wolds long before reaching their destination. In the chaos of the attack, Sin became separated from her family and lost in the pure darkness of the wild, untamed lands.

Siniara spent five years living in the wilds alone. She learned quickly to keep on the move and not stay in one place for more than a day at a time. It was far too dangerous to not keep moving. Too many things lurking in the darkness just waiting to make a meal out anything weaker than themselves. So she kept moving and ate what she could manage to find, scavenge, or hunt. It didn't take long for her to become a feral little beast of a child. Not knowing where she was or where she was going, Sin wandered a little too close to the lands of the light. Scouts from a hunting party found her in one of their traps, meant to catch animals for food and the pet trade. They saw an opportunity here. Instead of taking a loss since they hadn't caught an animal, they made quite the profit selling the little Drow child. After all, they were extremely rare to be able to capture and their children simply weren't seen in these lands.

Her first owner was a half-elf man. He saw a great opportunity when he saw the small Drow child It has been obvious that she was pure rather than being of mixed blood. She'd also been found with a House Insignia on her which indicated she had close ties to one of the Noble Houses. So she is likely to be magically inclined. After being bought, she was transported to his estates and taken into his mansion. She had not reacted well, unused to being indoors. She was quickly moved to an outdoor pen with high walls that was usually used for keeping animals. Her handlers quickly began to fear her. She would find ways to hide in the shadows and pounce upon them, clawing and biting. Frustrated and beginning to lose his temper, her owner hired a man who was known as a traveling mercenary and gladiator to come train the feral child for him.
Sin never attacked Camulos, the mercenary her owner hired to tame her. When he entered her pen for the first time, there was just something about his presence let her know that there was no reason to fight him. She remained cautious and remained a feral beast to any save Cam. He taught her how to fight. He also taught her one of the most important skills she would need in life - how to wear a mask so others could not hurt her so easily. She would wear her mask, being who and what they wanted her to be. Her owner expected her to be a cold, heartless killer. So she was. Sin struck where she was told to without question or remorse.

Her second owner was a very wealthy and influential mage. He bought her upon noticing the intelligence hidden within her amber eyes. An intelligence he felt had been going to waste in the hands of her first owner. She was still young, especially for one her people. Sin was only twenty when she was sold for the second time. At first, she was confused. Had she done something wrong? Displeased her owner in some way? Perhaps she had made a mistake with one of his orders? Her new owner sat her down and explained that the first had grown bored with her... and saw an opportunity to make a great deal of money off her.
The mage was neither kind nor cruel. He was simply practical. She'd already learned several languages before he'd bought her to make her work for her first owner easier. Under the mage's ownership, she was given a great many tutors. Learning many cultures along with the ins and outs of many different types of politics was her purpose for several years. Luckily, she learned quickly and well. Her owner was quick to take advantage of her new skills. He could use her in cultural and political exchanges so that he would not have to clutter his mind with particulars of the situation just to deal with things he required. This served a dual purpose. If negotiations or other situations were not going in his favor, he simply used her to eliminate the problem at hand.

Her third owner was a warlord. He did not buy her. He took her when he killed the mage who had owned her. The cold, cruel man had no use for her as a combatant or ambassador. He didn't trust slaves for either job and saw little use in negotiating with culture or politics. As soon as he laid eyes upon her, he had another new use for the now thirty year old Drow. He'd have her trained in the ways of pleasure. He knew of no other who could boast the ownership of a Drow pleasure slave.
After going through fifteen "teachers", her owner took over the job of teaching Sin what she was now to do. He'd grown tired of her killing off those he'd been paying to teach her. Though he honestly lost no money since she killed them relatively quickly and without them having any real time to spend what he'd given them. He was a cruel, harsh, abusive man. After he beat her nearly to death for the tenth time, she learned the lesson. She complied and learned what he wanted her to learn. Sin learned to hide her feelings while with the warlord while becoming feral once more with anyone else.... Unless her owner demanded she be with them.

Siniara has changed hands several times since she was first captured as a feral child. Her latest owner was her fourteenth. A male Elf. Each owner before him had taught her something despite her unwillingness to speak since some time during the ownership of the warlord. This latest owner, however, is also through with her now. It seems the last straw was Sin biting off one of his pointed ears when he tried to take her despite her training as a pleasure slave. He should have listened to the warning from the owner before him that she was now more feral than civilized. He hadn't listened and she had not been in the mood.

Name: Drisa
Race: Werewolf, formerly human
Mother: Alexia, Human Necromancer (Deceased)
Father: Colton, Human Warlock (Deceased)
Twin Brother: Felnir, Werewolf
Hair color: Dark Black
Eye color: White

Alexia and Colton were extremely excited when they realized they were to become parents. That excitement increased further when they devined they were having not one baby but two. Alexia had high hopes for daughters as the women in her line tended to be more powerful than the men. It was a long, hard labor resulting in first a boy and then a girl. She wailed and raged when she found her daughter to be blind.
Drisa has been blind since birth. Her mother deemed her immediately useless and focused all of her attention on Drisa's twin brother. Colton was more compassionate with his daughter, showing her kindness when his wife wasn't around or was too busy to take notice. She learned basic magics from her father, enough to be able to control her natural powers and do a few basic things. Nothing advanced, there was never enough time and her lack of sight limited how she could be taught. Lack of sight did not keep her from learning the talents of herbalism and cooking though. Her brother, on the other hand, was showered with attention and was taught a great deal despite his lack of enthusiasm for the arts. He preferred physical strength to the arcane.

It was a lovely, warm, Spring day. Drisa and Felnir had been tasked with gathering some herbs and wood from the forest surrounding their home. Their mother had sent them out for her needs. It was clear she had some important spell or ritual planned. The twins were ten but their times alone like this are the only chance they get to actually be children and laugh. On the way back, Drisa ran ahead with her herb basket, laughing. The laughter died when she reached the small clearing their home was in. Something just didn't feel right. Still, she pressed on, determined to win their little race. Stepping inside, she slips and falls, landing in a puddle. A puddle of thick, sticky fluid.
Chaos erupted. She heard Felnir scream her name and felt him jump over her. The sound of his child sized sword being pulled. Growls and his enraged shouts. Suddenly, silence once more. Left alone in the dark, stillness, she called for him. She screamed as pain ripped through her. Drisa passed out into blissful nothingness. She awoke several days later in a strange place on a makeshift bed to someone stroking her hair gently. It was Felnir... and she could see him for just the briefest of moments.

Several weeks went into healing. They healed fast, but she she still took a week longer than Felnir to finish healing. He made the big decisions for the both of them after that, becoming extremely protective of her. He went back to their childhood home without her, packing up some things for them to take with them or to sell for funds. Afterwards, the headed out for the nearest large town but it was over a month's worth of travel away on foot. They didn't make it far before the first full moon caught them. That first transformation was both frightening and extremely painful. Unfortunately for Drisa, she was blind even as a wolf.
After that first moon, her brother decided they couldn't settle down. Their mother had often spun tales of what people did to creatures like them. So he kept them moving from place to place. It took Drisa a few months to figure out that her bond with her twin now had added benefits for her. She could tap into their bond and use her eyes for extremely short bursts at a time. Felnir had described many a thing to her before, nit nothing could have prepared her for the actual beauty that was the world. She found snow especially beautiful despite how cold it was.

Name: "Shade"
Race: Reaper, formerly Fey
Parentage: Unknown
Hair: Black, ankle length
Eye color: White with gray pupils

The oldest memory Shade has now is the day that she became a Reaper. She remembers that something important had gone just terribly, terribly wrong. She was going to die. Alone and in a puddle of her own blood. That is when he came to her. His presence had been comforting, his touch soothing as he laid a gentle hand upon her cheek. In a gentle voice, he'd explained that he was a Reaper and had come to help her transition from this life to the next.... or he could offer her a deal. A way to continue living. She'd taken the deal, becoming a Reaper. Something about the transformation had sealed away her memories and what she used to be.

Name: Caitlin Lionblade
Race: Elf
Father: Unknown Elf
Mother: Lady Merina (Deceased)
Hair: Blond, straight
Eyes: Icy blue
Class: Spellsword
Favored Weapon(s): Greatsword, one handed longsword

Lady Merina was heavily pregnant the night they were attacked. Her personal guard had gotten her out of the manor and off the grounds. He'd gotten her away from the fighting, or so they had thought. Then a group of the enemy had been upon them. Her guard told her to keep going, he would hold them off. She ran. One of the attackers broke off from the fight and rode her down, taking her captive. Balor Lionblade was a cruel captor and evil man.

Balor used his elven captive, Merina, any way he saw fit. Three months after he captured her, she gave birth to a daughter. He took the child as his own to raise with his young son. Shortly after, he began attempting to use Merina to give him more children. His cruelty and lack of real care did the Elf in, however, and she died when Caitlin was only five months old.

Her brother, Jinlo is only two years older than her. Their mother was very sickly and weak. It made their father angry. When Cait was five, her mother died while a few months pregnant. It infuriated their father and he took that rage out on her. She woke several days later, her father sitting at her bedside and seemingly remorseful. It is something she has never understood, but she had told him how sorry she was for being bad. He'd gifted her a hunting pup. Jinlo didn't even have his own pup yet.
She learned quickly to behave extra well after her mother died. Despite doing absolutely everything she could, it never seemed enough to make her father proud of her like he was of her brother. It hurt her and made her constantly strive to be better, stronger, faster.

Name: Nyx
AKA: Lorelei
Race: Mermaid
Mother: Vallia
Father: Octavius
Hair: Rich chocolate brown, mid back length
Eye color: Orchid
Tail/scale color: Black

Nyx was born into a medium sized, fairly tight knit clan. Her parents were their leaders and she is their only child. Her childhood was fairly uneventful. She attended gatherings of the clans with her parents, learned the varied cultures of her people, about life under the waves, and about life on land. As a teen, the heir to the ruling clan attempted to court her. She had absolutely no interest in him at all. She was too busy exploring and learning to worry over someone chasing after her like that.
Having grown into womanhood, Nyx made the decision to leave, to move away from her clan and her people. Finding a decent sized but sparsely populated island, she put together a cabin for herself. She chose the placing carefully, settling on the exact spot after discovering a secret underground path leading to a hidden cave in the side of a sheer cliff under the high tide line. She's close enough to the port town of the island to spend time there when she choose but far enough out to be left alone.

Name: Werlis Vishtal of Clan Farlin
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Parents: Long since deceased
Race: Demon
Class: Berserker
Weapon of choice: Greatsword
Height: 7'2
Hair: Dark brown, nearly black
Eyes: Black
Mount: Agron, great black stallion

Werlis was born to parents who are both berserkers. The berserker gene is strong in both lines. He was their first born. Several years later, they had another son. When Werlis was only five, it started to become clear that his was not the anger of an ordinary child. In order to get their son to be able to understand the danger of the rage within, his parents took him out with them. They showed him first hand what they were like when they allowed the rage to take over. The experience stuck with him. Their people didn't shield their children from the ugly reality of what the world could be. Instead, they exposed the children to it and helped them learn to survive it.

It seems as though the entire valley is now red. There had been flowers before. Many bright, colorful flowers. Now there is nothing but the dead and dying. Screams. Blood. Rage. So much rage.
Their village had been attacked. So unexpected. Many of the fighters, men and women, had been hunting when it happened. One of the women had screamed, scaring off the herd of deer. It was how they knew their families were in danger, were being killed. She is still keening in her rage as she cuts down her enemies, her mate having been killed before they arrived.
Werlis has given himself to the rage, let it swallow him up. They had been outnumbered when they arrived. He has cut down many with his greatsword. His opponent now keeps backing away, trying to run. Coward. He strikes forward, sword impaling through the man's chest. Face to face, he grins. Until the fog of rage starts to clear and his brother's face stares at him in shock…

Despite the clan grieving, their elders met to decide the fate of one of their own. Werlis' fate was decided fairly quickly - banishment. He was banished from their people, from their lands. Told to go forth and seek his death out in the world.

Name: Thetis
Gender: Female
Mother: Unknown Human
Father: a water god
Hair: soft, brown.
Eyes: Amber
Height: 5'4 (162.56 cm)
Talented with potions, tinctures, tonics, and other such concoctions.
Water affinity.

She was an ordinary young woman. Not overly pretty but would catch the eye of men when she was out. Smart. The daughter of farmer. Her family had to work hard to get by and have the things they needed. She was not happy. She wanted more. When she heard rumors that the gods would grant wishes for a price, she decided it was worth trying. She performed the ritual and prayed with all she had. She was answered by a very handsome man. He didn't reveal which god he was. He simply asked what it was he heart desired. So she told him. She wanted to be somebody. Wanted a better life. Wanted to be the wife of that wealthy merchant's heir she'd fallen for a few summers ago.
He listened to the girl and her wish. Not once did she bother to ask what the payment would be. She never bothered to ask the price before agreeing to a deal. It made him smile. Mortals were so very simple. So he demanded his price - a child born of her by him. He wanted a child but had no desire for romantic entanglements. The child would be his and his alone. He would take the babe and raise it. Alone. So he bedded the farmer's daughter. Once their daughter was born, he granted the human's wish and sent her on to live her life. She would be nothing but a passing memory and nothing at all to his precious little Thetis.

Thetis was the apple of her father's eye. He spent as much time with her as he could although that lessened when she was around five. He was busy with a great many things. She was never alone though. She had tutors or her father's friend with her at all times. She adored the redheaded man who was soft spoken with her and taught her much. Others seemed afraid of his temper, but she never saw him angry.
As a young child, she spent many hours in lush gardens. Flowering and fruit trees. Flowers of all sorts of colors from all over. She would spend all the time she could in the gardens when her father insisted she be in the manor rather than by the sea. She would always eventually get her way and be able to be at the water however. It is where she felt most at home. Playing in the waves. Exploring the tide pools and discovering the life supported within.

Name: Aella
Gender: Female
Race: Dragon
Hair: Black, long and straight
Eyes: Silver

The very first memory that Aella has is of being trapped within another's mind and body. With the vaguest feelings of having had her own body before, she does not know how this came to be. She had been in a panic and denial at first. Those feelings quickly turned to rage. Especially when her host proved to be able to suppress her deep within. She's not sure who she was before but something like this surely changes a person.
As years went by, Aella grew in strength. She learned how to speak to her host within her mind. The girl had been so full of confusion at first. Then she seemed grateful to have company, the little princess was lonely. It took only a handful of years for her host to come to fear her. After all, Aella could now take complete control and suppress her host to the point that the princess would come back to herself and not know any of what Aella had been up to.

After a great many years trapped within the dragon princess, Aella was known as the cold and extremely cruel but lustful side of the otherwise sweet girl. Then it happened. That silly thing fell for someone. The two became a mated pair. Aella became angry. Her host's mate was helping the girl grow stronger and helped suppress her. Then her host became pregnant which weakened the girl. Taking control and finding the state their body was in, Aella became enraged. That is when a night god came to her, made a deal. If she would relent and allow the children to be safe, she would be given her own body. She risked believing. If she'd been lied to, she could always get her revenge later. However, the deal was upheld.

Name: Ragna
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire (formerly human)
Eyes: Vibrant green at birth. Red as a vampire. Can change their color.
Hair: Rich auburn

Ragna was born into a noble line. A powerful one that was dying out. She was her parents' first child to survive birth. There was much joy and celebration. She was treasured, cherished, and her parents did everything they could think of to ensure she was well protected. She was only a few weeks old when tragedy struck. On the night of the New Moon, her nursemaid went to check on her as the babe was overdue for her feeding. Chaos erupted. The nursemaid and the guards had heard no disturbance, but baby Ragna was gone. They searched everywhere but could find no sign of the baby or who had taken her. There were whispers, rumors, that a creature of the night had snuck in and stolen the baby. Her parents refused to give up hope or end their search.

Ragna doesn't remember her birth parents at all. She was raised by a Nobleman, a secret vampire. He personally raised her, not entrusting her to nursemaids as others would have, He gave her all the love one could every expect from a parent. He even gave her the gift of vampirism. Taught her how to control the hunger and prolong times between feedings. He even went out of his way to help her build political relationships with many powerful beings, built her list of allies. She was in her thirties by the time he told her the truth. Her birth mother had been dead for years and her birth father had fallen gravely ill. So the hunt for her was renewed in earnest, a reward offered for her return.

Name: Nemain
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Eyes: Gold
Hair: Black - long, straight
Family Note: Royals in hiding.
Father: (King) Ailill
Mother: (Queen)Moira

Ailill was two hundred years old before finally taking a wife. He fell hard for Moira. His advisors approved the match. After all, she came from a large family and it was essential the royal line be continued. Ailill was the last surviving member of the royal line. His father had passed in a war. His older brother and sister had also fell to wars. His younger brother had gone off to explore and seek adventure but has not been heard from since. His mother died of heartbreak after the losses, leaving him to rule their lush lands.

King Ailill and Queen Moira tried to grow their family. There were a great many failures. Though Moira did manage to carry several babe to term, they always died during the birth. After six hundred years of trying, the king's advisors were reduced to begging him to set aside his wife and take a new one. Their customs and laws demanded he have living children. The people were growing restless, viewing their king as weak. He refused, loving his wife very deeply.

Tensions in the lush, prosperous kingdom were at a near breaking point when Queen Moira was again with child. Ailill and Moira prayed hard daily. If they could just bring forth this child, it might soothe their people. The night of their baby's birth came. The castle was filled with both excitement and dread. Then the baby girl was finally born into the world and let out her first cry, there was much excitement. It was too late though...

A week after Princess Nemain was born, the castle fell under attack. The usurper saw the king as weak, more attached to a woman than he was the crown. He was cold, cruel, and calculating... but has a charisma about him. People followed him. More than the guards at the castle could hold off on their own. King Ailill's personal guard forced the king and queen to take the princess and flee through secret tunnels out of the castle. They were found out though. The usurper and his closest soldiers came upon them. King Ailill's guard tole them to flee while he remained to keep the enemy from following.

Having fled their home with nothing, they had to stay on the move. No one could know who they were as the usurper was offering a reward for them... dead. Ailill took what work he could, often working on farms or as a mercenary. As Nemain was reaching her twentieth birthday, her father decided it was time to try to quietly settle down and make a life for themselves however they could.

Name: Melitta
Nickname: Mel, Meli
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Eyes: Cobalt blue
Hair: White-blond, shoulder length
Father: Zarek, dragonrider
Occupation: Dragonrider
Dragon's name: Kallisto
Dragon's color: White-gold

Zarek is and was an amazing dragonrider. Brave and honest. He excels as a leader, fighter, and teacher. Unfortunately, he lost his wife and her dragon the same night. Both perished bringing ;life into the world. His wife gave him a beautiful daughter while her dragon brought forth a clutch of only four. It was a great loss, but Zarek remained strong and carried on. When little Melitta was only three years old, the unthinkable happened. Their very home was attacked. Under Zarek's leadership, they had few loses. However, they did have to flee. Zarek and his dragon, Valerius, were attacked while in flight and leaving with Melitta. Valerius recovered Zarek and got him to safety with the rest. Sadly, Melitta was lost. Her father has never given up hope and even offers a reward for his daughter's return.

The night of the attack was chaos and fear. Being on Valerius hadn't scared her, she was used to flying with her father and other riders. It was the fear coming from everyone else that struck up her own. Then there was the fall. The feel of Valerius's panic. When she awoke, she was very much alone in the dark woods. Evil men and creatures were hunting for stragglers. Mel, however, was small enough to slip through unnoticed.
She traveled far, unsure which direction she was going in. Sleeping in hollow logs and old animal burrows, she stayed hidden. After four days, she stumbled onto a cave. Taking refuge inside, she came upon a lone dragon egg. The egg had been kept warm by an underground hot spring under the thin rock floor. Curling up beside the egg, Mel fell asleep. When she awoke, it was to stare into the eyes of an undersized dragonet. The little creature's scales appeared white, but hinted at a gold. Their bond was instant and deep.
Surviving together in the wildest parts of the world, they both feared to go near real civilization. Mel can remember her father very vaguely, but the memory of the evil that attacked her home is more real and vivid for her. So they keep moving. Though neither has good social skills with their own kinds, their bond is obvious. They hunt, gather, and fight as one. Though Kali has been growing, Mel knows that her dear dragon is smaller than she should be. Malnourished, her companion is not getting enough to grow as she should. There is only one way to fix this - they must come out of the wilds and rejoin civilization as a dragonrider and her dragon so Kali can be afforded the things she needs to thrive.
