My name is Ifrit, and I am a wandering djinn of fire. Not the kind that grants wishes, so unless your wish is to get burned or hear a good story, I'd recommend keeping an arm's length away. I have been roleplaying for 10 years, and up until a year ago, I wrote on another forum. I have had this account for a few years, but I haven't been here in around 7 years. While searching for a new RP forum, I stumbled across this account, and someone remembered my stuff, so here I am.
While away on the one-year hiatus before coming back here, I worked on my writing by working on a short story and a novel I have had in the works. Using both of those as practice, my writing has changed drastically. Years ago, I had a bad habit of writing for size and using long paragraphs when shorter, more precise replies would have saved time, moved the story forward, and worked out better in the story anyway. Nowadays, I write as much as needed, depending on what is happening in the scene. I hope this will provide a better roleplay experience for both my partners and me.
My Rp Habits:
-I tend to write action-packed roleplays with sometimes merciless executions.
-I don't shy away from most topics. I will normally include it if it makes sense for the time period or setting. Saying this, I try to stay as close to the setting as possible with hours of research.
-Story over Smut: while smut is always good for the story, I enjoy a slow burn with tension, jealousy, and strife. Things don't always go well in the real world, and I like to mirror that in my stories.
-I write in the third person for roleplaying, though sometimes my habit of writing in the first person for my private works slips through. Usually, I can catch and correct these slip-ups.
-Horror, strife, and anguish are my bread and butter, as stated above. I like a lot of excitement, after all.
-I can spend days building a world, researching either history or even how things work to make the worlds I'm roleplaying in more realistic or just fun for the inhabitants.
