*Scene: City Skyline, dusk
A shadow has fallen over the city of Rauvyn, an ancient evil stirs from its rest. Throughout the streets a chill wind blows, bringing with it promises of death and decay.
Myrakostas, The Lord of Worms, has risen again after centuries, turning his unholy gaze upon the realms of mortals once more, raising an unholy army of the dead to conquer all the realm. The city and the surrounding countryside huddle in fear as Myrakostas' necromantic grasp reaches ever farther.
The Elder Council of Rauvyn, fearing for the future of their city, put out an open call for adventurers to face the necromancer in a last ditch hope for salvation. Many brave souls answer the call to defend the city, but none succeed. Until.........
*pan down into a seedy bar in the slums of Rauvyn, to a ragtag group of cutpurses, killers and a lich (Yes, our wizard is a corpse and they are fighting a necromancer, the irony has never escaped me)*
